This adaptor makes you smartphone not only a remote, but also a remote that you can view from. See what your camera can see from a distance and at the right time take the photo all wirelessly. Also transfer your photos while you are shooting to a smartphone or tablet. Thank you to the employee at the Apple Valley MN store that told me all about it and help me order the right on (from their online assortment)

This is a great alternative to using a remote trigger. You can even preview the photo before taking it using on device live view.

The device would not work. I plugged it into my camera and the power would never turn on. I had to return it.
