Fantastic camera. An amazing upgrade from my D4S and D850 combo. The auto focus is super fast, and my keeper rate is way up. This camera makes all my F Mount glass work even better.

Been shooting with mine for about two months. Had a D500 which I sold. It is a far superior camera in all respects. Image quality and autofocus are excellent. It’s heavy but if you shoot with telephoto lenses, you will appreciate the added size, weight and battery life. I find myself shooting vertically more often than before. I had the battery grip add-on for my D500 but found I never used it. I like the fact that the battery grip is integrated. Weather sealing is also excellent. The 2.1 firmware improves autofocus on moving subjects. I like that Nikon is still improving it’s performance and will likely add more updates to address comments from the professionals that use this camera. I am a pro-sumer buyer. I will put up with the extra weight to be able to get the images I want and to get the robust construction that handle the elements and anything I will encounter. I don’t shoot video but know it’s also excellent. All in all I am very pleased. I have adapted my 70-200 FL lens and it works perfectly. I added the z mount 24-70 lens and it is phenomenal. I lugged it with me today and took a lot of images and it’s worth the extra weight to have such a capable camera. I understand that delivery times of these cameras is improving, now that the NPS members have already received their copies. I waited six months for mine and it was truly worth the weight. I would expect a D850 version to be delivered in the next 12 months but am happy I got the integrated grip. I can quickly shift to vertical shooting seamlessly; something I did not bother doing when I had my D500. I know that there are comparisons to the Sony A-1 and Canon bodies. All are excellent. But, if you already have expensive Nikon glass it tis a no brainer. Buy it and marvel at its competence.

Just an all around great mirrorless camera, you have to experience this Nikon master piece. If you are coming from another Nikon Z camera it is half the battle. You have to put your time in and learn this beautiful complex but intuitive machine.

Excellent camera. A must have for sports and wildlife photographers. A worthwhile upgrade over my Z6 body.

I placed my order through Nikon and Best Buy at the beinging of September’22. My Nikon order was actually cancelled yesterday due to a “mix up” from Nikon that leaves me out to dry holding out hope that BB will come through. Nikon was due to ship out Z9s yesterday 9.29.22. Praying thst BB is set to ship very…very soon.

Called in few times to make sure to have my order ready in the promised day., but suddenly they moved my pickup day to 6 day later. Seems like either they can’t track their inventory or they have better paying customers. In this case i take my business to more reliable business
