They sold me a camera that doesn’t work. Shutters was completely bent out of place an only option was to return it with a stocking fee

After four years, my trusty D5300 was long in the shutter count tooth and in need of replacing. I debated the merits of going full frame, ultimately choosing the Z50 because its more compact size leads to easier travel. I have to say I’m super happy with the purchase. Pros: The EVF is incredible; I will never go back to an optical viewfinder. Eye Autofocus and tracking are good (not awesome) but acceptable enough for me to shoot a high school hockey game with ease. All my Nikon lenses work flawlessly with the FTZ adapter. Battery life is better than expected. Lightweight, well built, but ergonomically comfortable. Great option for video. Handles noise at higher ISOs better than I though it would, being an APS-C camera. Weather sealing feels good. Cons: Good thing the FTZ adapter works well because there’s bupkis available for fast Z glass. (Seriously, Nikon?!) Lightroom can be a bit finicky with the exported files. Eye Autofocus system is not as accurate as Sony’s. Menu can be a bit much to navigate. Kit lens is disappointing. Overall, I would definitely recommend this little camera. I can see it becoming my go to travel camera.

Bought this to get back into photography and I'm loving it so far. It's easy to use, easy to change lenses etc. I would say for someone who is familiar with cameras this is a great upgrade

I needed a camera for travel and I am a Nikon shooter. This was the perfect camera. It was light to carry, and compact. The pictures were great (learning curve for mirrorless cameras).

I really like this camera. I was looking for a mirrorless that would be a step up from my D5600, and this is it. Features somewhere between a D5600 and D7200 depending on who you ask. Small. lightweight body yet still has a good viewfinder and decent-sized hand grip. My only real complaint is the common mirrorless delay between startup/wake and the ability to take a photo - the extra second or two lag can be very frustrating at times.

This camera is perfect, I bought it for my daughter’s birthday, she’s just starting out producing, directing, and filming music videos, and so much more. The camera is very user friendly and has all the features she needs to get professional quality footage and stills. She has already started buying accessories to use with it.

This review is biased based on my lack of overall experience, but the camera reignited my love for shooting after upgrading from a Nikon D90 SLR. Overall simplicity keeps the the fundamentals at your fingertips and the digital video blew my mind. Fantastic travel camera and countless lenses to enjoy for any occasion down the road.

This camera is a nice way to get into photography with a mirrorless camera. Its image quality is identical to the z30, but the z50 has a viewfinder. Not having a viewfinder can be quite awkward for photographers used to DSLRs. This version does not have USB-C which is a drawback. The articulating screen is less versatile than the z30. On sale, this is a good deal. At full retail as of 5/25, it is likely there are better used cameras available for about the same price, which also have USBC for charging and data transfer.

Excellent camera for vacations and general photography. Sharpness and image quality is very good. Image stabilization is outstanding. I can hand hold 1/2 second exposures and get a sharp image. Much more comfortable to carry around than my full-frame camera. I highly recommend this camera

I bought this to upgrade from a D7100. I really liked the flip out screen and the grip was wonderful. After that it was down hill. Photos where usually one stop over exposed, face detect could not tell the difference between a woman’s face and her breast, eye detect only worked if the person was looking right at the camera bug eyed. Battery life was only around 100 shots and there are only two native lenses at F6.0. My 7 year old Olympus kicked its butt too and they’re the ones going out of business. Sorry - returned.
