Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Z6 Mirrorless 4K Video Camera's phenomenal image quality, especially its 4K video and low-light performance. Many appreciate its ease of use, lightweight design, and improved ergonomics compared to DSLRs. However, some users express concerns about the single memory card slot and battery life, which they find to be less than ideal. The need for a specific, more expensive memory card type is also a point of contention for some.

Best Nikon ever!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been shooting Nikon for over 45 years. This has to be the best I’ve owned. Very light, very good focus system, and very quite! I’ve used it either the new S lens, the manual focus lens, and even the G lens. All images are extremely sharp with great detail. Video in 4K is amazing when you work within the perimeters it was designed to do! The eye and face focus is great even though I see others that have complained. I have had absolutely no difficulties. Going from Nikon D750 to this was a great move for me. I now no longer shoot my D750. Thinking of selling it to but another Z6, I like it that well.

Inspiring camera!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve recently started taking photography more seriously. I bought a crop sensor, fixed lens bridge camera to learn how to build exposure and practice shooting, but I soon found myself longing for full frame and faster lenses. The Z6 has an appealing price point for newer photographers and it’s mirrorless format is the way of the future. I did tons of research and finally decided to pull the trigger... Man I love this camera. Light, compact, feels great in the hand, and the images are tack sharp. I use a Z 50mm 1.8 for most of my shooting so far and I love the results. You can’t go wrong with the Z6!

Amazing camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera, quick focus, FTZ mount makes it easy to use full frame and DX lenses (though cropped on DX), so I didn't have to start over completely. Can't wait for the full lineup of lenses to come out for the z series. First experience with mirrorless and the camera is lightweight and intuitive and was a pretty easy switch from my last Nikon.

Glad I Upgraded To The Z6!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having been away from camera based photography as opposed to using a cellphone for a long time and needing to upgrade to help get my business going, i purchased based on everything i had read, plus talking to persons i knew who were knowledgeable on the subject, a C...n T7i. Nice camera for sure. After noticing the deals that were being offered on the Nikon Z6 plus lenses, accessories, etc... i took a chance and have not looked back! From the 1st press of the shutter, it was wow!!! An excellent asset, very well made, no issues whatsoever, i highly recommend it.

Great camera, great ergonomics
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nikon Z6 is a great camera...best camera ergonomically. Excellent images right out of the camera. I sold my Sony A7 III and bought this one...and not disappointed. Video features are awesome - full-frame 4k 30p is excellent. Overall this camera is a fantastic one!

Amazing full frame mirrorless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome camera for people who want to get DSLR quality but worried about the weight and size. Photos come out amazing and great videos too. A little bit of issue due to xqd memory, no reader available on existing laptops.

Love the new Nikon Z mount cameras!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Z6 is my first entry into mirrorless, and I am surprised to say that I like it so much. It's smaller than my DSLR so more portable. The 24-70mm F4 is VERY sharp and has a more usable range than the 50mm 1.4 on my D610. So far I'm very happy with it.

Best Multipurpose Camera I’ve used
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great camera for people who want multifunction with 4K mirrorless quality. It’s light weight and can be maximized by purchasing the lens adapter. It allows you to use any lens with you Nikon Z series model of choice.

Pleasantly surprised, my first mirrorless.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My D850 went in for repairs, so I finally jumped on getting a backup camera and decided to go in the mirrorless direction as I hope to start recording more video and prep for the future of photography. The electronic viewfinder was, and is, taking some time to get use too but it has its advantages. Being able to watch your setting changes happen in real time in the viewfinder is pretty handy but there's still a latency video feel to watching your subject through the camera. I'm slowly getting use to this change and predict it will all be an afterthought in the near future. The menu setup is amazingly customizable and pretty fun to go through. The button placement is very similar to my D850, so switching over was pretty seamless. I'm not so concerned with the single memory card slot, so I can say if this is a major issue for you, wait for the Z6s or Z7s that should be out later this year, or look at the Z5 due out later this month. I have fairly large hands, so my fear was not being able to hold this camera in a usable fashion but that also hasn't been an issue. The depth is a lot smaller so getting to a few buttons took a minute to figure out. It's extremely light, almost comically so, but built well. It doesn't feel cheaply made at all. It takes beautiful photos. I wish more long range Z lenses were available right now, but the future looks good with the lens road map. I use it with the FTZ adapter and 500mm f5.6 (whole rig weighs nothing) and as seems to be the issue with mirrorless, the AF is a little slow (I also know some of this is because of a slow lens). When used with the 24-70mm f4 "Z" lens, it's a whole lot faster, obviously, so I am really waiting for those Z lenses to come out to really utilize this camera body to its potential. I've only taken a few videos so far, so I don't have too much to say in that area but I can honestly say that the AF control and settings are far superior to my use of a DSLR for video. All this being said, I am finding myself using this Z6 with the 500mm f5.6 PF lens almost all the time. I photograph birds/wildlife and realize that with trying to catch moving birds, I will have to resort back to my D850 as it's the better tool for that job. For almost everything else, I'm really loving this camera and can't wait to see what the future Nikon Z cameras can do to progress what seems to be the future of photography.

Amazing right out of the box!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this camera to take with me for personal projects so that I could lighten my load. What I didn't expect was that it is basically foolproof and I can hand this camera to anyone on Auto and they can shoot in focus almost every time. This is a far cry from my other gear and I usually don't get to be in the photos because no one can operate my other cameras. I'm very pleased and actually took this camera with me as a second body to a photo shoot and I loved the images. Get this now!

Great camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nikon has always had the best image files with vibrant colors and fantastic dynamic range. This camera is no exception. With the newer firmware the autofocus works very well. It’s more than good enough for most of my needs. The only real downside to this camera is that it uses XQD And CFExpress cards. Yes, they’re expensive, but don’t compare these high performance cards to the cheap slow SD cards you’re used to buying. Compare them to the highest performing SD cards and you’ll see that they’re not that much more expensive but they’re much faster than those SD cards.

Great upgrade from my D5000
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sold off my D5000 and a couple lenses to move into the mirrorless full-frame rig and I couldn’t be happier! My only problem is trying to decide which new S line lens to get first. After reading a ton of reviews and watching many comparison videos I decided to get the Z6 instead of the Z7 because I intend to use this to shoot video as well as stills. It been a bit of a learning curve but I am enjoying every minute. Great job, Nikon!

Nikon review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pictures are crisp; I gave it 4 stars bc ive had it a month and use it mostly in hockey rinks but their have definitely been glitches. Sometimes the battery goes down very quickly in the cold which it didn’t with my last Nikon. Overall I love the quality of the pictures tho.

Great deal...!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nikon Z6 came with the Nikon converter as a free item. This was a promotion and I got it at a great price. The camera itself is amazing. It can do everything the Nikon D850 can do but.....it’s not great for fast action or panning. It is a bit difficult to get use too if your coming from a DSLR world but the benefits are that it is a bit more compact. The camera itself has VR and it will double up on a lens with VR as well. Get it when there’s a sale or promotion. Thanks BB...!
