Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Z6 Mirrorless 4K Video Camera's phenomenal image quality, especially its 4K video and low-light performance. Many appreciate its ease of use, lightweight design, and improved ergonomics compared to DSLRs. However, some users express concerns about the single memory card slot and battery life, which they find to be less than ideal. The need for a specific, more expensive memory card type is also a point of contention for some.

I am mostly a photographer, but I'm also a filmmaker and vlogger! This camera is perfect for me! I have the creative ability to change any setting while maintaining amazing quality. The 4K full frame photos and videos are beautiful, and the 120fps 1920x1080p videos are quite amazing in quality as well. So many settings I keep finding that are like easter eggs, I love finding them. I will keep this camera for as long as it keeps functioning. It's perfect for me.

finally, a FF w/ clean low light ability without the bulk...with image stabilization and amazing video as a bonus....I would give 4 1/2 stars if available... perfect 5 if it had the AF performance of the top DSLRs

    Great camera, Bad purchasing experience

I purchased this mirrorless camera and lens as I had it shipped to me, Apon arrival, When I opened the manufacturer's box for both the camera and lens, things did not look right. Some of the accessories included in the box were unwrapped with the empty packaging crumpled inside. A piece was missing, along with one of the warranty registration cards.I have purchased many pieces of photographic equipment from this manufacturer and knew that the packaging was tampered with. It appeared as though I was sent an "open box" item when in fact I ordered the item new. With much difficulty, I was able to reach a representative online to explain the situation. After explaining to them, I was only offered a $25 gift card for my trouble an no offer to replace either the missing piece or replacing the camera for a "closed box" one. ( I still have not received the gif card. ) I was able to call one of the Best Buy stores where the manager was helpful and offered to exchange the unit for " anew one." They only issue I had with this is I had to travel over 40 miles to go pick it up as this was the only store to have what I needed. I did go and exchange the camera, When openingt new the box, everything was present and sealed in the original wrapping, just the way it should be, not like the original unit sent to me. My question is how could I be sold something as new when it was open and missing items? What happen to quality control ?

I have been wanting to move up to a full frame camera and have been looking at mirror-less. The Nikon Z6 tales great photos and you will not be disappointed. Nice detail in the EVF. Battery life has been way better than some of the early reviews. The 24-70 f4 is a nice sweet spot for starting out and is a great value.

My sixth Nikon digital camera body in 15 years, best one yet... Finally, a high quality, rugged camera body in a small compact form factor. Was worried that I should pass on Nikon's first full frame mirrorless camera body and wait for the 2nd generation, but no regrets. Nikon really got this one right!

It was between the A7IIIr and this and I’m so happy I went with the Nikon! The stock lens is amazing for coming as a bundle, but of course you can buy better. The camera performs amazing, and many of the little faults the YouTube review people found are only apparent is super rare, extreme circumstances.

Great Camera and Pretty light on gripping and handling + this little known fact that this Nikon Z6 is the best filming/video with bump to burst shooting 14fps (English Breakdown) translate to 4K quality. So don't second guess, stick with the First in #1 quality and price.

Great camera! Have taken thousands of photos since buying it a year ago! Works flawlessly with all the Z lenses and with all legacy Nikon glasses when combined with the FTZ adapter. Would even recommend this over the newer Z6 II versions - if you can score a deal!

Easy transition from mirrored to mirrorless SLR

I have been using this Nikon Z6 for about a month. My transition, from mirrored to mirrorless SLR, has been easy. I have been a Nikon user my entire life. The buttons on the camera are intuitive, but also the ability to move through menus, get what I want, is easy as well. I have no complaints. I mostly use it to photograph art work on a flat surface. I was worried the automatic white balanced might not be perfect, but it has reacted admirably to the artificially lit art I photograph. This camera allows me to see my images two ways, on the LED exterior screen and by looking through the traditional SLR viewing port. In both cases I can line up my image, determine the area that is focused upon, and choose to open or close the lens for more or less light (all the information appears below the image as summation of the image's choice of shot details, from f-stop to length of shot, to choice of formal point. The final images are just what I need.

I would have given 5 stars but I haven't had a lot of time to work with this camera. A lot of things to like on the Z6. I like to keep up with new technology. The only draw back is the qxd card that is needed for the camera it is pricey and you also need the card reader to download your pictures and do updates. So far I'm having fun with this camera and happy I purchased. I'll know more after our vacation to decide if it was worth the price. I'll still have my D7500 on vacation as well. I will be able to look at pictures from both cameras side by side and know more then.

The electronic viewfinder is superb and the screen is as well. Looking forward to the firmware update to see if it improves the autofocus although I typically find my own focus point. It is slightly lighter than my D750. I also love the touch screen access to a chosen list of menu items.

As a 30+ year Nikon user I am venturing into video. Nice face focus, beautiful stills and video. Zoom is a good all around range and sharp! Uses the same batteries as our other Nikon DSLRs which is a plus!
