Very Good Automatic Blender and Food Processor

This is a good all in one device that handles smoothies, blending, and food processing. There are a couple of things worth pointing out in the beginning. This is loud, I mean very loud to the point where it is a little scary. Also, the feet on it are very strong suction cups which is fine if you are placing it on the counter and not moving it. If you want to move it around or put it away when you are not using it, the strong suction cups can be a real nightmare. Excellent smoothies can be made with this. You add the ingredients for a single serving to the cup and start it using Blendsense. It will run until it detects that the smoothie is ready which it determines at the perfect time. You can even add frozen berries to the ingredients, and it still makes it perfect. It includes a closable lid that you can drink right out of the cup. The food processor is good but not great. It includes both a blade and a disc. The disc will allow you to shred or slice your ingredients and does a very good job of it. The blade cuts up anything into small pieces, basically what you would expect from a food processor. The biggest problem is the mouth is very small, so you must cut up your vegetables into small pieces to fit it into the mouth. It would be nice if you didn’t have to cut everything so small. The container for the food processor is very small so except to empty it multiple times when using it. The blender is pretty standard fare and allows you to manually run it as long as you want or set it to Blendsense to almost mash everything. Cleaning all the parts must be done by hand, and there are a lot of parts to clean when using it. The blades must also be washed by hand, which is not so easy. It would probably get a lot cleaner in the dishwasher. The best part of this machine is the Blendsense feature. It does a great job of determining when the function is done and does an excellent job of it. You don’t have to stand over it to turn it off either. Overall, it is a very good all in one device, but the food processor needs to be a lot bigger and get rid of the suction cups on the bottom.

Horrible for anything else other than smoothies! Do not waste your money, this blender can not lock the lid and it spills everywhere I’ve tried everything to make it stop doing that, the only thing that works its me pushing the lid down with all the strength in my body. I bought 2 because I thought it might have been defective, the second one also did the same thing, and ruined my favorite sweater!!!

I am not sure where to start with this review as it does so many things, and sad to say, I still have more to learn about this machine. It is VERY powerful as it makes slush out of hard ice cubes in just a couple of seconds - with no chunks - very uniform! I think this machine is smarter than me with their Blend-Sense technology. It knows when to stop or tells you it needs more time. The small blender cup is good for times when you only want a small batch and it cleans up super-easy. I have not tried the plastic mixing beater yet, but based on my other experiences, I have no doubt it will be up to the task. The slicer and shredder disc was easier to use than anticipated, but make sure you feed it slowly as I had some hard cheese that required a second trip through because I pushed it too hard. Of course, it has all the appropriate safety interlocks so I had no fear of bodily harm, but make sure you lock the lid securely when mixing liquids as I experienced a splash that was my fault because the lid seal was not in the right place. Everything cleans up well in the dishwasher. The only downside for me was finding additional cabinet space to store the extra attachments. Keep in mind the base of this beast is a bigger footprint than any other system you have owned. It also has suction cups to keep it in place which is both a blessing and a curse to make it hard to move, as the suction keeps it precisely where you put it. My only nitpick is that it barely clears my cabinets when sitting on the counter. It fits, but it must be pulled out from under the cabinets to be used. All in all - I am thrilled with my initial impression. If my experience changes, I will repost, but I don't expect it will as this thing seems to be built like a tank. It is as heavy as one!

The Blender that Will Replace Other Kitchen Tools

This Ninja blender can replace your cheese grater, can replace your KitchenAid mixer, can replace your protein shake mug and its also a blender! The instruction manual is helpful and informative on what each blade can be used for. It explains the features well and describers what can or cannot be done with each blade/feature. Its easy to assemble and dis-assemble the parts. It sticks to counter; so, you do not need to worry about it falling or getting knocked off. However, the suction cups are so strong, it is hard to pull off the counter as well. The lids and blender containers have a great locking mechanism. I feel confident using the lids. I do not feel it would leak or snap off. They are easy to unlock and take off. One of the blending containers can be turned into a travel mug (the single serve). So, we used that to make a milkshake and it was great cup to drink out of. The Ninja blender was able to sense the ingredients when I used it the second time. I used the blend sense technology button. I was making pumpkin bread and it determined it was dough. Then it was able to determine how long it would need to blend. There is a supplied disk attachment (the reversible slicing/shredding disk with disk spindle) that can be used to grate cheese. You run the blender at low and slowly insert the cheese and it will grate it. Since the blender is more advanced than others in its class, there is more work involved. For example, our old blender you just need to plug it in and press blend. For this one, you have to plug it in, press the power button, select your mode and then press start. Overall, this blender does more than what you would expect out of a normal blender. It can replace many products. It is awesome.

I've only had this for a few days but, WOW it has replaced 3 other products and freed up countertop space. This product does dough as well as blend and process food. I made salsa right off the bat as soon as I got it washed (TIP: blades are sharp) got cut washing the blades! Did a fabulous job chopping everything up as expected and had no problem with big chunks of onion. We used the blender for some protein shakes, don't put powder in first it will stick to sides like every blender then you got to scrap the sides to get it all blended up. we made fruit smoothies and blend sense perfectly blended ice and fruit together like a professional. We are coming up on the holidays and I'm going to use the dough hook and make some cookies and breads and all the wonderful stuff that comes with the holidays. Seems to come so fast every year. I make pizza all the time too so I will have to update with how the dough comes out on the pizzas. I love pepperoni pizza we make it and calzone pizzas atleast once a month so I will update when I do it.

Be a Ninja Pro with this Kitchen System Combo

I'm beyond impressed with this Ninja Detect Kitchen System Power Blender + Processor Pro bundle. There's really nothing negative I can say about it. I've used many different brands of blenders over the years, and none were as intuitive and pleasing to use as this Ninja Detect was. What really piqued my interest the most was this Ninja's 'BlendSense Technology.' I wanted to find out if that worked as advertised. In a word, yes, yes it does! It's really amazing, and makes using this blender so much fun. This Ninja auto detects what type of ingredients are in the blender, and "adjusts the time speed and power" necessary to best get your desired results. And the digital mode display is easy-to-read at a glance. Of course, you can also use the Manual Program setting to control the speed and length of a blending cycle; if that's more your style. Included with this Kitchen System, is a 24oz. single-serve cup you can use to blend your drinks or smoothies directly into a portable travel type container. Love it! Both the 72oz. blender itself and the single-serve cup are made of exceptionally heavy duty plastic. The blender's handle is sturdy and offers a sure grip. I like that the lid locks securely in place, which is a great safety feature. There's also a detailed Owner's Guide, along with a handy booklet of '10 Quick & Easy Recipes.' I always appreciate when home appliances include this type of "bonus." It makes trying something new and getting right into using the device, all that much more rewarding. And, according to the recipe book, you can even make dough with this blender. So cool! It's super convenient being able to prep with the included 8-cup Food Processor, and then continue food preparation using the Power Blender. My 'go-to' favorite strawberry banana smoothie was delicious. And my husband had a blast creating his "world famous" salsa from start-to-finish using this Ninja Kitchen System. I have to admit, I just enjoy crushing ice. And this Ninja can definitely handle it, where some of my other blenders could not. As for how loud this blender gets ... no more than what you'd expect. *Remember: DO read over the included Safety Instructions. Those blades are sharp! So, do I recommend this Ninja Detect Kitchen System? With a resounding YES I most certainly do! The price is more than fair for what you get, the build quality is there, and as far as versatility goes ... this Power Blender + Processor Pro combo, gives you so many options.

In the box is the motor base, 72oz pitcher with chopping blade, food processor bowl that has a feed chute lid with chopping blade/dough blade/slice-shred disc with disc spindle and a 24oz single serve cup, owners guide with recipes, drink recipe and safety instructions. First let me say that I currently have the previous Ninja Kitchen System Pro with the same basic system except my old system has an additional bowl for making vegetable pasta. With that being said, I am so GRATEFUL for the update! First Impression - I LOVE the slimmer motor base and I also love that more pieces fit into the wide bowl as opposed to having 4 separate bowl attachments. This system still has the suction cup base so that when mixing or chopping, the base doesn’t move. I love the new BlendSense Technology. When you look at the photo, it looks like it will be a challenge but this system actually takes out the guess work; you place the attachment on the base, select the BlendSense then press the round button and the BlendSense does the rest. Beware, when you choose the BlendSense, it will sense what is in the bowl and then after about 5 seconds, it will do its thing and mix what is in the bowl. So far, it has been pretty accurate for what I want it do. I put the ingredients in, press the BlendSense button and I can multitask and do something else and I LOVE that. I also want to mention the chop, mince setting on the manual button, I am so glad that this was added and it works great! (Before-on the older model, to get the right sized chopping, I would have to press the button multiple times to get the right chopped vegetables or fruits.) The only con so far that I do not like is the opening on the wide bowl; I wish it were a little bit bigger. When you want to use the dough setting, you may have a hard time inserting the ingredients. Also, if you want to use the slicer, depending on the item you are slicing, you may have to trim it down to fit in the hole. I am so glad that I got this upgrade and now that there are more actions to use, I will definitely be using this machine even more than I already use my previous one! I am so glad that I can pass on my old system and save a little space in my pantry for this new one and my counter top has little more space now. (I also wanted to add that the older version food processor, pitcher and spiralizer does not fit on this system.) Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family!

I was looking for a well made blender and came across this Ninja. I haven't really gotten a true to life nice quality blender. My past ones were from the local pharmacies and convenient stores. They did their job but you can tell you get what you pay for with those. However when I got this, this was a game changer for me! I mean when you open the box you see parts I didn't expect. Like a dough mixer?? But it doesn't stop there! You get the blender attachment, the food processer attachment or pitcher and a cup attachment. Everything is so well made! The base where the brain is at has suction cups to adhere to your counter so it won't slide off, which is awesome. The lids on every container are super easy to pull off. When putting on whatever attachment you need, it is very simple and easy to lock into place. The only really negative thing is that the blender can get really loud, especially if you use the sense setting, where the blender will determine how fast and aggressive the blender should be. I think it's a little overpowered for my milkshakes so I just use the pulse and manual here! But when blending stuff, this is a beast!! Cleaning is very simple and taking out the blades are super easy for cleaning as well. The footprint is small for what it is. Well relative really. I expected something from like a smoothie place, but it's really pretty small. I am super happy with it and see myself using this a bunch! The recipes that come with it are pretty good too! I totally recommend this set up!

I love Ninja Kitchen products and the majority of my kitchenware is Ninja branded. The blender and processor are excellent in replacing multiple products and clearing countertop space. In the box, there is the awesome blender, food processor and my favorite, the single serve cup that I have been using for shakes/smoothies. There are a multitude of attachments for doing so many other things like crushing ice for snow cones, dough blade for cookies and pizzas and so much more. Even for a novice cook like me there is even a recipe book for some ideas for you to try. As mentioned before, it is so convenient with the single serve cup for easy on the go smoothies. The powerful blender turns fruits to liquid in a matter of seconds. I love the Detect Sense a lot. It tells you if you need to keep going because there are still chunks lingering about that you could miss with your eye until it's too late. My sister came by one day and we decided to make some homemade pasta dishes and used the blender to make sauce. She loved it so much she kept trying to get me to give it to her after we were done. My biggest gripe is this. I love Ninja and stand by their products I own, but I think for a powerful system like this, it should have been made of glass instead of plastic. I just fear one day while blending, it will just crack and eventually shatter. That is just my opinion but maybe the plastic is strong enough to handle the Ninja's power. Don't let that deter you if you are in the market. If you want a literal all-in-one kitchen tool that can make so many different options to cook, then the Ninja is a looker.

To begin, I feel obligated to state that to call me a novice cook or baker would probably be generous. I do not cook or bake often. I like to think that I make a mean smoothie or shake, though, which is why I was more than happy to try out this blender and food processor. We currently have a blender in our house that works great, so I figured this unit would have to be special to impress me, and impress me it did. To begin, the build quality of the unit and the accessories is impressive. The base does have a little mass to it and the plastic (and metal) components are robustly built. They are all sturdy and well-constructed, I would say. As far as "construction" is concerned, the only thing that has been polarizing in my house has been the inclusion of the suction cups on the bottom of the blender. I like the suction cups because the blender base does not move at all while using it. My wife, on the other hand, does not like them because (oddly enough) the blender also does not move when you want it to (without having to use a little extra force or pry the suction cups up). Cannot have the good without the bad on this on, I suppose. Personally, I suppose the inconvenience associated with moving the blender on the countertop or in cabinets is worth the trade off of the unit staying in place when using it (although, given the mass of the unit, I wouldn't necessarily envision it moving much when blending). One of the most interesting features on the blender is its autosense technology. I still have no idea how it works, but when I put in my ingredients for a shake or a smoothie, I turn the unit on, push a button, and it sets the blending speed and time automatically. A few times, I thought the blender was going too long and my shake would be more like milk, but it wasn't. Perfect shake consistency every time. Same story with smoothies. There is a feature that is supposed to tell you when to add more liquid, if necessary. I am not quite sure how well that works, though, as I apparently never "under fill" my shakes or smoothies with adequate liquids. In addition to being a blender, you can swap out the pitcher with the food processor component and, voila, you have a food processor as well! We do not use this feature very often, but it works just about as well as any food processor I have used. The container is large enough to accommodate our needs. There is even a dough "blade" included so you can use the food processor for kneading dough, apparently. The inclusion of a single serve blending cup is a really nice feature for anyone looking to make a single serving of a blended beverage. Put your ingredients in, screw on the top, place it on the blender, and press the start button. No more waste (or having to put the blender in the freezer with the leftovers that I never seem to wind up finishing). Cleanup is relatively easy. All components (aside from the electrified base, obviously) are top rack dishwasher safe (no heated dry). I found that using the delicate/china cycle works just fine too (which allows me to use the lower rack because the blender and food processor components are too tall to fit in my dishwasher's top rack. Ultimately, This one base serves several purposes with the single-serve blender, regular blender, and food processor attachments (with different blades). The build quality is good and, at this point, this unit will be replacing my previous blender as my go-to appliance for making smoothies and shakes!

I have had lots of blenders in my life but i have to say that this one has to be my absolute favorite because of the power, features, and versatility. I will say at the outset that this is a large bundle of food processing power so that means there is going to be a large space required for storage and use. But the added countertop space needed for this bad machine is well worth any sacrifice you have to make! The base of the Ninja blender is hefty and exudes a sense of quality. Once you plug it in and add one of the three included attachments, the magic starts to show itself. I can honestly say I was a bit skeptical about the ability to sense what I had put into the blender and "automatically" adjust to do the job right, but I was pleasantly surprised, I have done things as varied as salsa, slicing cucumbers, and making smoothies, using all of the included accessories and this blender has yet to disappoint. The automatic "sensing" settings have been spot on and the results have been fantastic all the way around. Being able to use one base to do single serve smoothies, everyday blending/chopping, and food processing has let us get rid of three or four different machines and replace them with this one. Shark has hit it out of the park again.

What a great way to blend, for the blender to decide how long and type by itself and it works very well. This kit contains - 72oz pitcher that I use most of the time. That has the ninja detect total crushing and chopping blade with a pour sprout lid. - 24 oz single serve cup with blade and spout lid. - 64 oz power food processor bowl that contains …. ——chopping blade assembly ——dough blade assembly ——spindle with reversible slicing/shredding disk ——power food processor bowl feed chute lid and pusher Comes with instructions and some recipes and many more from the internet. You press the power button to turn it on It starts off in blendsense mode BUT you can choose manual or a mode (note not all modes are available to all options you put on it), and you can choose pulse. I find the blendsense mode works great, but their are times you just need pulse or manual In manual mode the blender start of slow and you can turn it up to 10 max (1 to 10) by turning the dial. I love the slicer to slice cumbers, carrots, and celery The blender makes awesome smoothies!! Very nice blender/processor that comes with everything you need.

A well thought out Kitchen System

I’ve have used blenders for many years. Food processors? Not so much. This is why I selected this Kitchen System, and did so without any preconceived notion of what I would need feature-wise. That said, this thing is pretty impressive. BlendSense technology, for sure, because it senses the ingredients you’re using and makes intelligent adjustments to speed and time to ensure they are blended properly. This system as a whole has a variety of functions that do chopping, shredding, slicing, and blending. And, it also kneads dough. Its list of features/parts include: • 1800 peak watt motor • 24 oz single-serve cup with lid • 64 oz Food Processor blow with Feed Chute Lid • 72 oz pitcher with high performance blades (Total Crushing & Chopping Blade) and lid • Reversible Slicing/Shredding Disc • Chopping Blade • Dough Blade • The containers, Blades, and Lids are top-rack dishwasher safe With full-disclosure, I started using this system without doing much advanced reading. So, when I stumbled on the ‘Add Liquid Alert” message (it’s found on the dial), I decided to stop making my smoothie and actually read the information booklet. Turns out, I wasn’t doing anything wrong; I just needed to add more fluids to the drink to ensure a good result. And the smoothie came out quite well. My smoothies would usually be so frozen that I would have to leave it sitting out for it to warm up. Not this time though. One nice thing about BlendSense is that it automatically stops blending when it believes the blending process is finished. You can, however, manually stop the blending process simply by pressing the Start/Stop button though. While I’m used to pressing a Start/Stop button when preparing a smoothie, this ‘hands-off-I’ll-determine-when-its-done’ technology takes the trial and error out of making them. Crushing ice is another blender function that I’m an expert at. Doing so is generally loud, and that hasn’t changed much with this system. The system does a very nice job of chopping food items, and can perform a Large Chop, Small Chop, and Mince. I tried this out with a number of different vegetables, the latest victim being an onion. The resulting difference between a Large Chop and Small Chop was obvious. I also chopped up some cucumbers and minced some red peppers. All went quite well. Although I’m a newbie when it comes to kitchen tools, I’m having a blast trying the options and attempting to diversify my cooking style. So, color me impressed with this system. As an important note, remember that the cutting blades are extremely sharp, so due care should be taken any time they are used. I am very pleased with this system and will be giving it a 5-star rating.
