works great. so far only been using the air fryer and the grill setting. both work great. My only complaint so far is that this is the XL but it feels small. can only cook 2 hamburger patties (Walmart ones that are in the bag). and even the air fryer basket it kind of small. great for 1-2 ppl. it cooks fast though so that is nice. if you want grill marks, make sure to preheat prior to using. the grill part for the grill marks are curved as well. we have been using it inside and it has not set off our smoke alarm detectors yet. we also have a plug outside so have taken it outside. we live in a apt so we are not allowed to use a charcoal or gas grill. so this is a nice alternative. just like i said, wished it was big to at least to 4 burgers on. to me, it feels kind of like a George Forman/grill mix. like a in between. why a 4 star. One reason like i said, for a XL version, the machine itself is big but the grill plate and air fryer is small but it cooks pretty fast so just have to make food as you go. and the grill plate is curved as far as the grill marks go. so hot dogs was not as easy to just sit and place between the grill marks. and the power cord is ok length but would have loved it a bit longer. and yeah it does both air frying and grill but at least for me, i would love to have it somehow do both. be nice to make fries while cooking a burger. (this is not a reason i gave it 4 stars) but overall, love ninja products and i love this grill. great grill for indoors if raining outside. and if nice outside, great to take out and cook on as well. will get lots of use from my house.

Very disappointed in cooking results. Instructions are a little confusing. Ruined some very expensive steaks by following instructions to the letter.

At first look, I couldn’t wait to use it. I tried burgers first. I used frozen patties, my first hiccup with it was trying to put the thermometer in the patty. Without it, it will not start. My first go around once I got the thermometer in, it didn’t work how it was supposed to. It said the patties where done but they were still frozen in some areas. I had to put it through again, which still didn’t cook them to well done as I wanted. And since the thermometer was telling it that the patties were cooked it wouldn’t start anymore. I had to finish them on the stove. Which was extra work. So that experience was not good at all. Clean up was simple. I like that they included the brush to make cleaning easier. One thing I did like is that it was really smokeless. Some indoor grills claim that but it doesn’t always work. I also tried fries, it wasn’t all the way evenly cooked but the ones that came out crispy where good. This is a pretty big and heavy machine. All in all it’s useful.

First thing Id like to mention is I love to grill. The Ninja Foodi Smart XL will help me avoid having to go outside all by myself to grill in the winter months when my family wants a nice steak or burger. The Ninja Foodi Smart XL is well built and seems like it will last for years to come given the quality. Included with the Ninja Foodi Smart XL is a non-stick grill grate with a cool design to make sure you get those grill hash marks. An air fryer basket, a 6qt cooking pot and a smart thermometer and cleaning brush. The smart thermometer will insure you get the perfect doneness every time as long as you follow directions and trust The Ninja Foodi Smart XL to let you know when to remove your food from the heat. First thing I made were some steaks that came out perfectly, my family pretty much all like our steaks medium and using the smart thermometer system, there was just the right amount of pink and they were delicious. I also made some burgers, my method on my outdoor grill is the same I used with the Foodi. I took the burgers right out of the freezer, put them on the grill and they were done in no time to absolute perfection. I am looking forward to also using the Ninja Foodi Smart XL to augment those times Im grilling for a lot of folks and I need more cooking room, I can make my Mexican street corn on the Foodi while Im using my traditional grill for other things. Overall this is a great appliance to add to your kitchen, indoors or out.

I was expecting barbecue like taste. But, it was not what I expected.

Love love love this. I cook everything on it. The grill option is my favorite feature and the thermometer works wonderfully. I kept seeing a commercial for it and so I had to have it and it’s been my favorite purchase to date.

When I received this grill, I thought, "Oh no, not another George Foreman Grill"! I was wrong on all accounts. This grill does it all! Makes perfect Burgers-I like mine well done and I usually use 90/10 ground beef. I made the BEST burgers ever. Well done, but still juicy. The air fryer is also great. I battered pork tenderloin and they came out nice and crispy in about 10 mins. This Ninja Foodi Grill makes the perfect food by using the included thermometer. Insert the thermometer in the food, and you don't have to use a timer. When it reaches the desired temperature, it lets you know by beeping. I haven't tried the dehydrate option yet, but if it's like all the others, it will also be great! Highly recommend!

I love my Ninja Grill. I use it just about everyday and for everything. Makes the best chicken wings. I make homemade pizza all the time. Cooks burgers and steaks perfectly! You would never know this wasn't an outdoor grill. Makes the best bacon. There is hardly any smell or smoke in the house either!! I only wish they made aluminum trays because cleaning can be a pain especially with bacon or burgers. My kids love tator tots and french fries cooked in here.

I’m thrilled with this Ninja Smart XL 6 in 1 indoor grill. I’ve used all of the functions except the dehydrator function. I find myself referring to the grill and air crisp charts in your pamphlet quite often but it is all so easy to use and the meals have been delicious! Easy clean up too.

This grill is amazing. Your food will be perfectly done to your liking and it’s very easy to use. I would definitely recommend everyone to buy one.

I already owned a ninja foodi pressure cooker. Bottom line is that these products are more than durable and cook almost any food items perfectly. You couldn't possibly want more from any brand.

This includes: • Grilled boneless chicken breasts • Roasted whole, split chicken • Baked boneless chicken breasts – basted • Grilled pork loin • Baked pork loin • Grilled prime NY strip steak = = = = Candidly followed the directions precisely, as to temperature gauge placement, preheat, turning food as indicated and removing when ready then allowing foods to rest. Without a question, the foods are quite dry. = = = = Have a counter top toaster/oven with a “broil” feature. Steaks emerge in one-half the time and are juicy. My toaster/oven preheat for broil is 3 minutes vs. 10 minutes for the foodi. In my toaster oven I can bake salmon in 8 to 9 minutes with two minutes of preheat. Basically, I can prepare some dishes in the time it takes the foodi to preheat. = = = =

They gave me this as a Christmas gift. Best thing ever ypu can make almost anything in it.

Absolutely love this XL Ninja Air Fryer/grill. It’s large grill holds 5 big pork chops.
