This is the perfect blender for those who want to whip up a quick smoothie, shake or other drink. Blends very quickly and smoothly, with plenty of power for even ice. The cups you blend in is what you take with you, just pop on the drink lids and you are set. Clean up is easy and hassle free. This is also good for blending up your own homemade salsa and you can keep the cup in the fridge using the included storage lid. Very impressed with this little dynamo.

Don't dirty the big blender

Unlike other personal blending units I've had, this one you simply fill the container, screw the blender attachment on tight, turn it over and push down. You can't walk away from this one like a standard blender, and there's no way to lock it in place. Not that you'll need to, because this thing liquifies frozen bananas in under 30 sec. I've yet to start drinking anything and come across a chunk of anything. I will say the 'Max liquid' line may not be accurate - if you've got other things in there like frozen fruit and fill the liquid to the line - you've probably got too much in there and may need to pull it off and give it a shake to complete the process after blending once more. That being said, as long as you don't overfill, you should be satisfied with the end product.
The 3 containers you get are plenty sturdy, and have had no issues getting them clean in the dishwasher. I love that it comes with 3, so you can go a day without having to wash the same one over and over.
I have not had my unit overheat, but like I said most jobs likely take less than a minute. Unless you're trying to blend sand, I don't think I'd worry about it.
I don't know what to say about noise. It's a blender - it's going to be loud at some level. Filling it appropriately does help, and I have had it screaming when I let the frozen ingredients sit too long and not want to make the death march to the blender blades.
The recipe book is a nice add, though if you already making daily smoothies you may not give it more than a passing glance.

High Torque, No Sweat by NINJA NUTRI-BLENDER BN300

From the start, this food prep device is super user friendly!
You will mostly know what to do without reading the manual.
Nonetheless, no matter how smart you think you are about set up of new appliance, there might be a small trick that'll ruin your day if you don’t take the time.
After so many blenders in my life, my first take was generally correct but happy that I read up on a couple of the unit’s peculiar details.
Out the box, I washed all containers and lids that are, thankfully, branded PBA FREE.
One important direction worthy of reading is that you must not clean the Power Pod with spray cleaners or liquids. The Power Pod should only be wiped clean with a cloth. Warranty is voided if you damage the electronics with liquids.
An even more important observation is, when compared to a competitor I have used, though the manual asks that liquids not be allowed in the top of the Power Pod, there is NOT an obvious open channel that is easily exposed to splashing liquids.
In competitor designs, the open channel eventually allows the unit to get clogged, requiring a really weird clean out trick to get a reboot that many may not research.
By contrast, the NINJA NUTRI-BLENDER design is a real effort to protect the consumer from gunking up the Power Pod mechanism. The unit is more sealed than the ‘others’. Applause to R&D for the upgrade that first timers won’t appreciate without basis for comparison!
BTW, avoid injury by maintaining mindful vigilance when handling the Pro Extractor Blade Assembly.
So far, all small blenders of this ilk expose the user to injury by blade.
My cleaning method is to hold the plastic mount upon which the blades sit, rub the blades with a soapy sponge or just hot water spray the blades down with your sink’s water gun. Sticky blades haven’t happened so far for me but a spritz of hydrogen peroxide easily releases gunk, brush with dish detergent then hot power wash with the sprayer gun. Done&done!
FYI, everything but the Power Pod base claims dishwasher safe; but can't report since I don't use one.
My first round was a smoothie, but I took note of the fully loaded, high gloss Recipe Book's ingredient stacking instructions:
• room temp ingredients at the bottom
• leafy greens next
• then liquids or yogurt-like textures
• followed by dry powders, nut butters, seeds, sticky stuff
• topped by hard items like frozen ingredients i.e., ginger, fruits, etc.
I capped the tall cup with the blade assembly then upside down onto the base for a high-powered pulse first (since layered hard stuff is now closest to the motor) then a continuous blend until ingredients are liquified.
Found that, unlike competitors in this space, the NUTRI-BLENDER design engages the user, so you do not start the blender, leave it running then overheat the engine. Has never happened to me; but, if you inadvertently overheat the unit while holding the cup down on the Power Pod, a troubleshooting reset gives you a reprieve after a 15-minute cool down.
This appliance requires an interactive, hands-on operation:
The preparer remains engaged with the process.
You must hold down the cup for the time required to thoroughly pulse then blend the ingredients.
No doubt, I was impressed that the motor of such a compact, lightweight, easily maneuvered unit handily liquifies frozen, rock-hard ginger, mounded frozen fruit, my protein powder blend, coconut milk, and stevia without a hitch.
As a smoothie nut, NINJA's got the torque I'm lookin' for.
Though pleased with product performance, I will call NINJA to verify the level of watts for future reference: The box says 900 watts while the Technical Specs on page 2 of the manual indicates 700 watts.
Maybe the proofreader dropped the ball?
Also, the logic seems odd on page 10 of the instruction:
"Do not use ice that has been sitting out or has started to melt", an item that requires more clarification 'in my book'. Seems liquid from melting ice is the same as liquid intentionally added to the cup.
Registration via their QR Code is snappy faster than most.
Warranty is for one (1) year but, interestingly, not good for "products purchased, used, or operated outside North America", so watch your "P's & Q's".
Also, a steep $20.95 to return a repaired unit is the consumer’s expense.
Overall, great bang for the buck for a blender that can be used for more than smoothies i.e. the recipe book has inspirations for ‘Extracts’.

Simple, Easy to Use, & Incredibly Effective

This is a really easy review to write because the Ninja – Nutri-Blender Plus Personal Blender is ultimately a very simple device, but highly effective at what it does. In essence, it is simply a blender sized down to accommodate 3 – 20oz cups. This is great for individuals like myself who like to make a breakfast smoothie in the morning, but don’t want to have to break out the big blender every morning, or make large batches at once and then drink it throughout the week. With a device like this, I can make my fresh smoothies every morning before work with minimal clean-up and a cup already set to go.
I have tested the blender with soft fruits, chopped ice, and various liquid combinations, and I simply haven’t found anything it couldn’t handle with ease. Ninja quotes 900 watts of power, and while that may not mean much to most of us, what it translates to is a very fast & powerful spin that blends ingredients together very quickly and very effectively. I have used personal blender devices like this in the past, and they have always struggled most when it came to power, with things like peanut butter for example never fully breaking down like they should. In this case, I have yet to find a drink I have made that didn’t come out smooth and perfectly mixed, it really blew me away with how much power this little blender has, especially at this price.
For the cups themselves, they are very solid and the lids do a great job of sealing. There is a flat lid if you want to seal the drink for later, and another lid with a spout for drinking on the go. To use the device, you simply push the sealed cup with the blade lid onto the device and hold it down for as long as you want it to blend. If you want to pulse, you can physically release and re-press the cup as much as you’d like. For me, this is really all I need. Yes, you will get better control with a big blender, but for making a drink on the go, there isn’t much more you could want to ask for. All of the cups and lids/blades are dishwasher safe as well, which makes cleaning a breeze.
Consider this highly recommended, no complaints from me, and for the price I think this is a great value as well if you plan to make lots of drinks!

Practical and easy to use single serve blender.

The Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus is an excellent single serve blender that’s quick, practical, and very easy to use. I’ve always wanted one of these, because while I love my full size blenders, most of the time I’m just making something small and don’t need the large container, nor want to clean it. With these, you blend right in the cup you’re going to use and switch out the blending cap when you’re doing. It cuts down on containers that need to be cleaned, saves counter space space, and works great for quick smoothies, milk shakes, and even hot sauce or salsa. And it’s so easy to use, even the most tech challenged person in your life should be able to use it.
There’s no buttons or much of anything to figure out, really. Just put your ingredients in the To-Go cup, put the blender cap on it, line up the 3 nubs on the blender cap with the machine and press the cup down. The three nubs prevent the To-Go cups from being installed incorrectly, and it blends quite confidently. Frozen fruits with ice didn’t give it an issue, and blending some homemade salsa to homogenize it came out fantastic. And maybe best of all, the blender blade cap, and drink caps are all dishwasher safe, so cleaning up is a breeze.
If you’re in the market for an easy to use single serve blender, or wish there was an easier way to make milkshakes and smoothies at home, definitely give the Ninja Nutri-Blender Plus a look.

The Ninja - Nutri-Blender Plus Personal Blender is a compact, easy to operate personal blender that has a powerful 900 watt motor. Blender is a bit of a misnomer for this product, it is really a smoothie crushed ice maker. It is not an al around blender, and the performance degrades substantially if you try to use it for items that are better suited to a blender or food processor. It’s not a negative, the Nutri-Blender Plus is designed for extractions, smoothies and similar. For those, it does a good job and performs as you would expect. There were zero issues in performance when crushing ice and heavy smoothies – a testament to the power of the motor. Operation is a snap, simply put your ingredients in the container, put on the lid and press the container down into the base of the blender. There are no exterior buttons so there is no speed control (hence why this is not a real blender.) Clean up is easy since everything is contained is cup. There was no leakage nor mess. On the negative side, as with every other Ninja blender I have tested, the Nutri-Blender Plus is loud. Some of you may think all blenders are loud and that is true to some extent but Ninja is not known for quiet blenders. I ran Ninja and Blendtec side by side and the Ninja was about twice as loud. It’s not a fair comparison since the Blendtec is 10 times the price (literally) but I want to illustrate that this is not a quiet blender. Since you will be running it only for 30 seconds or so, it is not a big deal.
In conclusion, the Ninja - Nutri-Blender Plus Personal Blender does what it is designed to do at a price that is less than $100. I am a bit concerned that it will not hold up long since it is so inexpensive but the predicted reliability and owner satisfaction for Ninja is quite high in Consumer Reports. Overall, this blender is a quick and easy way to make your favorite drinks or crush ice. Recommend with 4 out of 5 stars.

I use it to make smoothie bowls and regular smoothies. It definitely makes a lot of noise, but only for a minute or so. I love that it came with recipes and instructions on what to put in the blending cups (liquid, frozen fruit, etc) step by step. Awesome product!

I'm very impressed with this blender where the cups are actually decent cups that you can use on the go! This blender has plenty of power and makes excellent smoothies and shakes with more than enough power to crush ice and finely blend fruits/veggies. In addition, because you're blending in the cup you'll take to go it's easy to clean up. I've been using it in the mornings and tried some of the included recipes which was great. It doesn't take up much room in the cabinet so storage is simple. I've been using it in the mornings with my espresso machine to make my own Frappuccino's to go and in less time than it would take to run to Starbucks to get one! So, if you're looking for that at home, look no further, simply get one of these and an espresso machine. I'd definitely recommend this machine!

I love that there are no buttons or knobs on this blender. Just plug the blender into power, insert your cup full of yum, and blend. Ninja includes a great set of sturdy easy to hold cups that are also easy to clean and dishwasher safe making this a must have for any fan of smoothies on the go.
