I am in love with this blender. It’s the perfect size. Doesn’t take up much space in my counter and big enough for a perfect smoothie. I use it every day. Don’t have any complains.

I. USE. THIS. EVERY. DAY. AND. LOVES. IT!! So so easy to use and clean!

This is my first blender ever and I bought it to crush ice. It does that very well, though very, very loudly. Did I mention it was loud? For crushing ice I would give it 5-starts I bought it three weeks ago and washed the cups in the dishwasher first. I just noticed that one cup was "bent" as if it melted somehow. My dishwasher isn't a volcano and these are supposedly dishwasher safe so I don't know how it happened. I didn't check them before the went into the washer but I'm guessing the "melted" one arrived bent and I just didn't know. No way should a cup of any quality be mangled in a home dishwasher. Very disappointed but hoping either Best Buy or Nina will help. I'll update the review if so.

>> Overview << The Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro with Auto-iQ is a very powerful smoothie, ice crusher and in general personal blender machine. There are four modes: ice crusher and smoothie which work for most uses, pulse option to help mix, and finally there is the usual start/stop manual mode (well you can stop at any time when in crush/smoothie modes). The default IQ mode (crush/smoothie) works very well for most applications. The device comes with a recipe book with some interesting recipes (although it seems more targeted towards cocktail-style beverages). The base is a little too big to be considered a portable device, although it is much smaller than the bigger Ninja brothers, but similar in size to other not so high-end blenders. I am happy with this device overall. - Pros: just powerful, easy to clean, base has suction cups for stability. - Cons: base is a little too big, plastic cups. >> Blending << So far the device has excelled at preparing smoothies and such. As mentioned before, the default IQ modes may be all you need for most uses (the interesting thing is that it starts, pauses, starts again, and so on, providing a good mixing of the contents). I’ve blended mixtures of fruits, vegetables, different nuts, honey, milk, oat, ice, and the result has been great. The machine is powerful enough to complete the task in one go. I also have used the manual start/stop option for a few times when I wanted to blend something into almost liquid for, very nice. >> Portability << I was hoping to use this device at work whenever it was time to return to the office; however, the base is a little too big to be easily moved around. Yes, the device is powerful, but perhaps trading some power for size would have not been a bad idea. The base has suction cups that give it the needed stability to this powerful device, but I noticed that sometimes they get in the way when moving the blender around, I think I will just find a “permanent” place in the counter where to put the device. I also wonder how long the suction cups will last. The initial intended “portable” use of this device has changed so now I have it in the counter, together the coffee maker and the other blender (well I am still figuring out the final disposition of the few devices I have). Anyways, at least I have a device devoted uniquely for personal beverages as opposed to one for also making sauces etc. I would frequently refrain from doing smoothies in the other blender because it is cumbersome to clean and also because it was hard to remove the odors due to sauces and such. >> Other notes << - Be careful to cut your fruits/vegetables in smaller pieces so that you don’t find the device overflowing (see picture). - Plastic cups are not that easy to get rid of the odors. I understand that crystal cups are easier to break. - Consider the size of the base if you are thinking of carrying this device with you everywhere, for example, to the office, on road-trips when stopping at hotels, etc. - After blending, there is only one inconvenience, the inner thread of the cup gets covered with the blended juice, so when you insert the cap, you’ll notice the juice flowing through the thread as you secure the cap (some might say extra sealant).

I had to buy a new one cause my old one was smoking up the house burning. This one is more safe and light and at least has rubber around it where my other one had metal which was dangerous. This is more reliable and easy to do and clean as well.

Making smoothies and shakes in my old blender has always been a chore due to its size and confusing buttons and settings. With this personal-sized Nutri-Blender Pro, Ninja has taken the guesswork out of using a blender. With a very small footprint, it is a perfect size for individual smoothies and drinks. It is incredibly powerful for such a small blender - I have made smoothies, milkshakes, and frozen drinks, all perfectly blended. PROS: - I kept my old blender in a cabinet under my kitchen counter because it was unsightly and took up too much counter space. The Nutri-Blender Pro is smaller than a coffee maker and looks great on my counter. It has suction cups on the bottom to keep it stationary while the blender is running. - There is practically no setup or assembly required. Just take it out of the box and plug it in. No need to program anything. - I love that the blender comes with two cups and lids. You blend directly in the cups - there is no large pitcher that you have to worry about storing or cleaning. The cup lids have spouts on them so you can take the cups with you and drink on-the-go. - The cups, lids, and blade assembly are all dishwasher safe, meaning that cleaning is super easy. - No guesswork required. If you want to make a smoothie, just press the "Smoothie" button. To crush ice and fruit into frozen drinks, use the "Crush" button. Then just sit back and wait for the timer to run down. You'll have a delicious drink in less than 60 seconds. - If you want more control over the blending process, you can use the "Start/Stop" and "Pulse" buttons. "Start/Stop" will run the blender continuously for up to 60 seconds. The "Pulse" button will run the blender based on how long you hold down the button. - Don't be fooled by its size: this is a powerful blender. It has handled everything I've thrown at it with ease: frozen fruit, bananas, vegetables, ice, spinach, etc. -- all perfectly blended with no "chunks" left over. - The blender comes with a recipe book with about 20 recipes for smoothies and frozen drinks. They all look good, but my favorite is the Berry Almond Smoothie. CONS: - This thing is LOUD. I think it is louder than any vacuum cleaner I've owned. Luckily, it only needs to run for less than a minute, but just know that you'll probably wake up the whole house if you use this late at night! - I wish it would have come with two blade assemblies (one for each cup), but it's easy enough to wash it between uses. OVERALL: This is an excellent blender to make single servings of smoothies and frozen drinks. I love its compact size and impressive power. If you've never made a smoothie before, don't worry - there's no learning curve here. If you can press a button, you can use this blender. It's that simple. Highly recommended!
