Ninja - Nutri Ninja With Auto-iQ Blender - Stainless Steel The Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ Blender is the little brother to the larger Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ blender/food processor. I selected the Blender option because it is about ½ the foot print on the counter top. Since I use it every day to make my smoothie for my health, the smaller foot print was desirable. My counter tops are small as is my kitchen. It has buttons for Start/Stop, Pulse, Blend (Auto-IQ) and Ultra Blend (Auto-IQ). The Auto-IQ buttons are programmed times with starts and stops to allow the food being blended to settle back into the blades. For my smoothie I use 8oz almond milk, 3 different frozen fruits and berries, and fresh ground flax meal, topped off with a small amount of cold filtered water to bring the level up to the full mark. Then I use the Blend button to make the smoothie, using the Ultra Blend button make the smoothie to runny. The unit is 1000 watts and has plenty of power to handle the frozen stuff. The blades have 3 levels of cutting edges, that’s 6 cutting edges total. It comes with 2 different size cups, as well as 2 lids for the cups. It has a book of recipes for you to work with. On a side note, it says stainless steel, it is completely plastic. The blades are the only stainless steel part. Although this unit is a smaller one than my previous unit, it uses the same size cups. I have 2 issues with this unit. 1 is a real issue for me, the other seems to work but I just don’t care for it. The first issue is the new redesigned cups, see the picture. They removed the graduations from the cup. It now only has max fill level. I use the graduations to measure how much of what I’m putting in. Because of this I will be using the old cup from my old unit. The redesigned cups also have ½ the threads on them. This has made it harder for me to get the blade unit or cup top in place correctly. Not impossible, just not as easy as it used to be. This issue is real, I am lucky that I have the older cup to use. If you’ve never used the old style you may not notice this. The second issue is the way the base unit holds the blender cup in place. It just presses in, no turn to latch. So far this has worked and not been a problem, it just seems a little loose when it’s running. You can see the cup shaking around as it chops up the frozen fruit. There is 1 “catch” that clicks in place. But it is not tight by any means. There is also 1 small offset in one of the 4 cup holding positions that seems to grab the cup slightly while it’s running. Time will tell if this is a real issue or just a perceived one. This is a good small blender that will allow you to press a button and do something else for the next 45 to 60 seconds. Or you can just run it like a blender. I like this unit and will be using it in place of my larger unit, just with one of my old cups.

Hands Down: The best blender out there

I've been using this for over a week now and it has really impressed me. Coincidently, I started my health journey around the same time and this has been my best friend all along. I make smoothies twice a day and it has yet to disappoint me. My wife also like it very much. We had a relatively inexpensive blender that we bought about 2 years ago which has been alright. Didn't impress us much but was useful when needed. Ever since we got this Ninja, we never look back. I was skeptical about getting this Ninja looking at its negative online reviews everywhere but still wanted to give it a try. So far it has been great. Seems like they launched a new model. Most negative reviews were about the putrid smell from the lid and also the seal but they need to realize that it needs to be cleaned thoroughly & regularly. I hand wash them every other day. I even remove the seal to clean it properly. That's the key right there which I learned while researching about this product. As long as you do it, you won't get any foul smell or bad taste in your smoothies. About the product, it has a powerful 1000W motor capable of blending almost everything. It came with two cups: 18 oz & 24 oz, both with their own spout lids. Unfortunately, it comes with only one blade. As with all the nutri ninjas, the chopper blades are made from very thick stainless with sharp leading edges. The Auto-IQ system is something new to me. I use it while I'm multitasking and it's impressive. According to the company: "It takes the guesswork out of drink making. Auto-iQ Technology features intelligent programs that combine unique timed pulsing, blending and pausing patterns that do the work for you". It has two modes: "Auto-iQ blend" (45 seconds) and "Auto -iQ ultra blend" (60 seconds). They automatically pulse, pulse, run for a bit, then pulse, pulse, and run for a bit etc. This works quite well. It allows everything in the larger cups to drop and settle then get mixed and blended over and over. You get a consistently smooth smoothie. One important thing to be aware is not to overfill the cups. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this and will definitely recommend it to anyone.

Several years ago, I started drinking protein smoothies for my breakfast. I had a shaker bottle that would mix up the ingredients ok, but the powder wouldn’t completely dissolve. I started using an individual shake blender. It worked well, but I still had problems with the powder completely being mixed in. So, I have finally upgraded to a more powerful blender — the Nutri Ninja With Auto-iQ Blender. The blender comes in a Ninja branded box and is packaged securely. It comes with two canisters for blending and storing drinks, two lids for the canisters, and the blade attachment for the blender. The two canisters are different sizes, which I prefer because sometimes you don’t want a large smoothie. One of the main reasons I was excited to work with this blender was because we recently found out we were going to have our first child. Even though I’m sure that we will have to supplement with store-bought baby food, it will be nice to have a quick and easy way to mix up our own baby foods when necessary. The previous blenders we had were insufficiently powered to be able to blend/puree foods like the Ninja can. Getting started with the Nutra Ninja is really easy. Once you have all the parts unboxed, you simply add your ingredients and then blend. If you hit ‘start’ it will start blending continuously until you press the start/stop button again to stop it. There are multiple settings on the blender including Pulse, Auto-iQ Blend, and Auto-iQ Ultra Blend. The Ultra Blend setting is perfect for harder ingredients. The Nutra Ninja does a great job of blending evenly. I really like that the blender is preprogrammed so that you can lock the canister down and then do other things while your mixture mixes. My main test was to make a morning breakfast smoothie. My smoothie usually just consist of milk and the protein powder mix. Sometimes I’ll add in some peanut butter, but I decided to try just the simple mix first. I put the ingredients into the canister and then blended the mix. I used the standard automatic blending option and it only took about 10 seconds to blend thoroughly. This is a great personal blender and I think the equipment will last for a long time.

Good for smoothies and frozen drinks

This is my first experience with one of these appliances. I have a good quality large blender that has been used for many years. But it is large and not so easy to clean. As we have those healthy smoothies often, it was time to try something different. Time for the Nutri Ninja! Pros: A strong 1000 watt motor. This has chopped up everything we have thrown at it. The ice in blender drinks is chopped very fine with no large pieces left behind. Definitely a great bar machine for those frozen drinks! A strong suction cup to stick this blender to your countertop. Once you attach it, it is not moving anywhere. The Auto IQ adjusts the blend of the contents in the cup. It will pulse to provide well blended smoothies and frozen drinks. Very convenient and less dishes to clean. With the large blender you need to put in all the ingredients; blend the contents; pour the contents into another container; clean the blender; and, clean the container. That is 5 steps. With the Nutri Ninja you put in all the ingredients; blend the contents; take the container by putting the lid on; and, wash it later. That is 4 steps. And one less thing to wash! Smaller footprint than a regular blender. This leaves more counter space available. Very important for most of us. Cons: The provided 18 oz. and 24 oz. containers are best for one person. We did order the 32 oz. container so we could use this for both of us. This appliance is loud! It is only on for maybe 60 seconds tops but it is very loud. Conclusion: It makes a difference on how you pack the contents into the blender. Be sure to read the instructions on how to layer the contents for smoothies and other blender drinks. It will make a difference. With the small footprint and effective blending of smoothies and frozen blender drinks, it is a good addition. If you do not want a large blender and drink these types of drinks often, you will not be disappointed. I think adding the 32 oz. cup is a good choice for anyone except a person on living on their own. You may often want to blend a drink for more than one person.

This blender is very solid and ready to go right out of the box after washing the blending cups and blades. The recipe book has 75 recipes to get you started. I love hummus, so I first tried that recipe. I have made hummus before using a blender and another time using a food processor. Previous results were okay, but the Nutra Ninja Auto IQ did an amazing job. While my previous attempts with other tools were just fair with lumpy results, the Nutra Ninja made it smooth consistent. The result was as good as anything I have purchased at the grocery store or at a restaurant! I just hit the Auto IQ button and it went to work. It starts by pulsing and letting the ingredients fall before starting again. It does this in ever increasing frequency and then finishes with 20 second of straight blending. My next attempt was a yogurt smoothie. I didn’t follow a recipe this time. I just threw in some things I like and let the blender go to work. Once again, smooth and drinkable through a straw, no lumps like an ordinary blender. Lastly, I made the carrot soup recipe. This required a little planning and a few ingredients I didn’t have on hand, so I had to go find some of the ingredients. Everything had to be cooed and cooled before blending, but once again, the results were perfect. Previously I had used an immersion blender for making this type of soup, but the Nutra Ninja beat it by a mile! Clean-up is super easy. There aren’t a lot of parts to take apart like a regular blender or food processor, so it only took a few minutes to wash everything. I love that the blending cups have lids you can drink through. Perfect for soups and smoothies on the go. Just unscrew the blade and screw on the lid. Easy! My only complaint is that it is obnoxiously noisy. I think everyone in my neighborhood knew when I was using it! It’s definitely not something you would use to surprise someone with a breakfast smoothie. Overall this is an excellent appliance. You don’t have to be a health nut to really appreciate this. I haven’t tried yet, but I imagine this would make the best frozen cocktails. That will be next on my list of things to try.

Let me start out by saying that this blender is very loud... like a leaf blower in your kitchen loud. But honestly who expects a blender to be quiet?! It is very powerful and blends like a dream, so it doesn't bother me. I had a bullet before this and it wasn't as loud but also was half as powerful, leaving chunks unblended, gross. This Ninja never disappoints... just add your desired food and liquid, screw on the blades lid, put it into the base and turn to click into place, hit the Auto IQ button, and 1 minute later a perfectly blended smoothie awaits you! There are suction cups on the bottom of the unit to hold it in place, probably because its so powerful and vibrates the counter. I love the travel lids also, they do not leak at all, which is awesome. Clean up is a breeze, just rinse and into the dishwasher everything goes. I'm very happy with this blender and cannot wait to try more of the recipes that came with it!

I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. The Ninja brand did it again. They released an overpowered blending system, this time for individual beverages (along with soups and dressings) that works perfectly. Within 2 minutes, you can fill a cup with fruit and a liquid of your choice, screw on the blending base, hit the autoIQ blend button, wait around a minute for the beverage to blend, change the blend base with a flip-top lid, and have a tasty beverage. Smoothies, shakes, doesn’t matter - this thing gets it right every time. The only drawback is owners of some other Nutri Ninja blending systems - myself included (I also own a Nutri Ninja BlendMax system) will find the individual cup bases may not be cross compatible. This isn’t a dealbreaker for me, but something I think should be incorporated into any company’s design process when they make a family of products under a shared name. Some may also feel the base is rather large; considering the Nutri Ninja has at least twice to up to 5 times the power of competing products, the base can’t be much smaller without creating heat problems. All in all, another great product from the Ninja brand.

    Innovative Blender

This blender is not your average blender. Normally blenders have an opening on the top so you can put things in it and then start the blender. This blender on the other hand is like a cup that you fill up and then you turn it upside down and attach it to the motor. This is convenient because you are able to actually use the top part as a cup. It even comes with different types of lids. You can quickly make a smoothy or shake and then take the top off and it turns into a cup. This blender is made out of high quality materials and is very simple to use. It has suction cups on the bottom so that it attaches to the counter top and does not move all around while being used. The only downsides would be its size. It is made for personal serving sizes and cannot fit a large amount inside of it. However, this is not really a downfall at all if you are making one thing at a time. It is also loud but it is a blender and I do not think there is a such thing as a quiet blender. Overall, this is a really nice and innovative blender. It does not take up a lot of space and is great for anyone looking to make some healthy drinks.

Ninja has been on top of the blenders for sometime now. I own an older model and was happy to see a new updated one. This come with 2 cups a 18oz and 24oz they do come with lids that fit both travel cups. They do have a spout lid to close to keep from spilling. The blender unit is 1000 watts it has 2 suction cups on the bottom of the unit so it will stay in place. You don't have to keep a hold of the unit it will not move around. There a 4 speeds on this on the Auto IQ buttons they are timed Ultra Blend and just Blend. The Pulse button you just keep pressing until you are done. This does come with a book on Recipes to use for this. Clean up of this unit is easy and fast. It's not a very big unit so it wont get in the way on your counter or in the cabinet. Overall this is a good small blender.

So disappointed with this item. The blade unit is poorly crafted. It contains a plastic band and despite washing as instructions indicated, food particles became trapped in this area. When I went to use unit, it had the most horrid, foul smell- rotting puke is what came to mind. I grabbed a knife and dislodged the plastic band. It was full of gross, rotting food particles. This band is not easy to remove and I can’t imagine doing this after every use. I left items soaking a few days, but band still super smelly. Unfortunately, Best Buy return policy is not the best (30 days), so returning is not an option even through I’ve had it for 5 wks. I contacted Ninja customer service and they are sending out a new blade unit that supposedly doesn’t have a plastic band in it, but I’m wondering why they are still selling the units with it!

We had our last Nutri Ninja Auto IQ for 2.5 years, and used it almost daily. Finally it started to struggle, so we picked up Nutri Ninja Auto IQ #2 -- the base seems very similar in weight, but the blade mechanism is flimsy and impossible to unscrew it from the container blending unless you are someone with oversized hands. I made my protein smoothie every moring and never once had a problem opening the container--now, the flimsy matierial is slick and the ridges provide no real grip. The motor sounds like it's going to stop when I use bananas and 11 frozen strawberries--16 ounces of water and 2 ounces of protein powder. We had to switch to the freezing the cut up strawberries because it can't handel ice. What a waste! Why make a product worse??

Absolutely love this blender. It's easy to use and is completely simplified. There are 4 buttons, Start/Stop, Blend (IQ), Ultra Blend (IQ) and Pulse. You add your ingredients, select Blend (IQ), Ultra Blend (IQ) and let the Ninja do the rest. Makes the perfectly blended drink in minutes, without really an human interaction. Cleanup was a cinch, just wash with warm water and let dry. There are also two cup sizes provided, with lids for each. Each lid has a closeable drink opening as well. You also get a recipe book that contains a great amount items to make and enjoy. The two drawbacks that I encountered were, some dripping on the base and the device is pretty loud, so don't use it when others are sleeping! :) Although of the drawbacks, that did not keep me from giving it a high rating. This is a great product!

Love the performance of this Ninja. We had a been using a Nutri Bullet and boy that thing was terrible. Finally one day it just stopped working so picked up one of these and it is night and day! This Ninja chops everything up very well and makes everything so smooth. The Nutri Bullet we have would chop up some things but not everything. It is very easy to clean. Only take a couple of minutes that is a big plus. Also love the suction cups on the bottom of the Ninja, that keeps it from moving around. Definitely would suggest this to anyone and it well worth the money. I have suggested this to three people and they all have bought it and agreed. The only con is that it is very very loud. There is no getting around that, but that would not stop me from buying it again.

Amazing! All it takes to make great smoothie is load the fruit (or veggies) and ice then run Ninja for 10 seconds. Yes, 10 seconds only. I could not believe it myself. This thing will crush everything in the cup instantly. Cup is detachable with lid which makes load and leaning super easy. Blender also have stick-on rubber feet and will strongly hold onto your counter so you don't have to worry about accidentally pushing item off the counter. This product deserves 10 of 10 score. Must have product Pros: Design Size Easy to use Fast Secure stick-on feet Cons: None

We had pretty much the exact same model gifted to us for our wedding gift, and it was used probably 360 days out of 365. Every morning, we made fruit/veggie smoothies to start the day, and it was great. Fast forward, and a few years later after much much use, the blades still seem sharp but the attachment point where the tumblers lock onto the blender unit itself seemed to be loosening up or something. We couldn't see any definite gaps or issues, but it seemed off. So we replaced it with a new model. Still happy, still the same performance. Nothing negative at all about this blender. If anything, we use it more now because we've added +1 to our household.

I have the ninja coffee bar...loved it...decided to look into a blender / juicer thing as I had an off brand nutri bullet that was an frustrating piece of trash. This thing is awesome right out of the box. blender, 2 cups, recipe book, go. Sticks to your counter nicely with some grips on the base so you don't have to worry about scratches. It's a nice enough kitchen appliance to leave out on your counter unlike an ugly bulky blender. cups and lids are dishwasher safe too. Haven't compared to the top of the line nutri bullet but I honestly don't care, This has already helped us shop and eat better and also helps us to waste less.

I have a small kitchen, so all of my appliances have to pull their weight to earn a spot on my counter, and this blender does exactly that. It's extremely powerful, making short work of ice and frozen fruits. I've used less powerful blenders that still left chunks after a minute of blending, but with the Ninja, my shakes are smooth with no lumps. All the power comes with a price- it is extremely noisy. If you think you're going to make a breakfast smoothie before anyone in the house wakes up, think again, because your neighbors can probably hear it. The Auto iQ button takes the guesswork out of proper blending. Super powerful and super convenient.

I like ninja brand, i had a small chopper which i have already used it for 5 years. Now i bought this smoothie maker because after i went to smoothie store so many times and finally i want to make it on my own. It is good, which is a little bit noisy. with the auto-iq-blender option, you will clearly know how many seconds it will last, one smoothie can be done within 1 min. so it will noise you only less than 1 min. Crushed food and smoothie fruits, nuts etc very well. Also comes with a recipe book. Now i put multiple food in it at one time and drink all of them after the smoothie cooking process has been done. It saves my time and makes my meal more healthy.

eview for Ninja - Nutri Ninja With Auto-iQ Blender - Stainless Steel This is a great smoothie maker for an apartment or any kitchen with limited counter space. I leave this out on the counter and use it frequently; it’s not as big as a blender and more convenient with it’s two drink containers (18 and 24 oz.). It’s easy to make a smoothie in the morning with fruit, yogurt and ice, blend it up, and swap out the blade and cover for a “Sip and Seal” lid! This unit has great power and makes a really smooth smoothie with no ice chips. It blends fast and is easy to clean up.

I had previously been using a full Ninja system when all I really needed was something this small and powerful to make my morning shake/smoothy. This blends everything I want it to blend but the only thing that would have made this better is if the cups/containers would have been glass instead of plastic. No matter what, over time, plastic turns yellow and since its more porous than glass, it looks dirtier quicker. Other than that, if you're looking for a professional grade blender/mixer for your shakes and smoothies, look no further.
