This thing is epic. Ninja definitely lived up to the hype on this one. We bought this because we really needed a blender that would be able to crush ice. Most blenders really suck at it, but this one does it with ease. It's also able to withstand pretty high temperatures. I've made hot dips, and put them in this blender for the right consistency. The only small downside I see to this is that the ice has caused a couple of scratches on the inside of the blender, but that's purely cosmetic. And those scratches haven't affected the functionality at all. It's just the blender, unlike the other Ninja products that have like 3 attachments, but we honestly havent needed any. We've had this thing for about 6 months with no problems! Perfect for smoothies, piña coladas, dips, frappes, anything.

Got this as a gift & just love it! I was intimidated at first, but once out of the box & ready to use, I couldn't believe how easy it was! Love the 6 blades, going all the way up! Mainly use for smoothies. Chops right through my frozen fruit, blending nice!

We love this blender. We use it primarily for smoothies and it works really well and very quickly for that purpose. It's also really sturdy. The cons are that it's slightly difficult to clean and it's pricey for the low number of settings--the more expensive models have more settings but that seems to be the biggest difference so far as I can tell. This one fits our needs and our budget just fine.

It appears that my studying the internet for reviews, videos and articles has paid off. I had the blender shipped to the store and I picked it up there and it was quick. The blender so far is what it is supposed to be; powerful, does the job, easy to clean. I have not yet made green smoothies, only fruit and protein, but they were so good. Also, I used it as a food processor for some minor tasks; chopping green peppers and onions etc., and it did the job. I'm now awaiting delivery of the food processor from Best Buy. Once I have that, I will be a dual threat on the health tip. I highly recommend this machine. I wouldn't buy a bullet, or a cjuisanart, or any other highly touted-and high priced-machines, when this blender is quite good. I will update this review after I have made some more elaborate smoothies, Salsa, etc.

Very happy with purchase. Replaces 20 yr. old Oster that never did a very good job. This crushes ice with ease and makes great milkshakes.

this blender is amazing! Doesn't matter what you put in, it will liquify it in seconds. Easy to use, easy to clean. Plus, I love that it has the measurement lines on the front, so when you are putting in liquid, you can see how much.

Good blender I heard about from a coworker. It blends things smooth, plenty of power, relatively easy to clean. Crushes ICE and also can pulse for light chopping. Just make sure, as with any blender, to load your lighter ingredients on the bottom, heavier on the top so that it assists in the blending process.

This is a GREAT blender that rivals my much more expensive Vitamix. I’ve taken a break from my Vitamix 5200, which retails for 5 times the cost of this blender, to test this one out for a week. I love it! It gives my Vitamix a run for the money. Here are some observations: For chopping, this blender is impressive. It looks so much like a food processor that I tried chopping an onion, and got acceptable results. I would absolutely use this for that. (The Vitamix can’t do this at all.) For ice crushing, YES! Yes, yes, yes. Snow in blazingly fast time. Sno-cones, margaritas, whatever, this blender has that application covered. Fantastic results, far better than the Vitamix. For pulverizing, I thought it was very good. This was the area that the Vitamix outshone the Ninja, but I think the Ninja did just fine. In my homemade jalapeño-coleslaw dressing, the blender didn’t quite get all the jalapeño pulverized, and there were little chunks still in the dressing. The Ninja had a little trouble pulverizing 2 large bunches of kale, and I had to stop the blender a few times to use a scraper to push the leaves down. I also needed to add some water to aid in the blending. The leaves ended up rather smoothly pulverized, although I don’t think they were quite as fine as in the Vitamix. I love how the blades remove completely from the pitcher every single time; it not only makes it easier to scrape out all the food from the blender but also to get it perfectly clean. The Vitamix always ends up with food stuck under the blades, and if it’s something like hummus, it’s really hard to get it clean. So the design on the blades in the Ninja is brilliant. Be careful, though: those blades are sharp. I managed to to slice my hands open on two separate occasions while trying to put them in or take them out of the dishwasher. Seriously, having tried this blender, I can’t see recommending that anyone spend the extra money for a Vitamix. This is a really nice blender.

haven't pushed it to the limit so far, just smoothies, sauces & pesto but has performed like a champ. Also like that they kept it simple: pulse, low, med, high. Don't need 20 different buttons for a blender to be good.

You can put anything in this blender and grind it so cool..... Like really you can put really hard thanks you could even put a cell phone in there and you could grind it up without hurting the blender.... Awesome

I use this blender probably everyday for various meals and shakes, and i'm completely impressed with how well it blends and the durability of it. Would recommend to anyone 10/10

I have had this blender for 3 years now. Ninja has never disappointed. I use this daily and it is just as strong now as the day it came in. Easy clean up, hassle free not one single complaint on this masterpiece. I use it on smoothies mainly; however soups and sauces are perfect in this. Best purchase ever and I am now a die hard Ninja fan. I also love my ninja Foodie.

Blends with ease. Minimal noise compared to other blenders we've owned. Very easy clean-up. Really awesome for smoothies.

Was looking for a new blender and had interest only in buying a small one. I have to admit, was a bit out of my original price range and was much larger than what I was looking for. But the sales lady recommended it for it's power and ability to crush ice - something my last blender was lacking. I use this blender almost daily for smoothies and it turns full veggies and ice into liquid within seconds. Great purchase.

Great blender at a great price! Beware: Blades are VERY sharp Grinds ice cubes in seconds, large capacity easy cleaning !! Safety: must lock lid to operate! We LOVE it !!

This blender kicks butt ! It is very powerful and shreds ice like it's angry. Easy to use and easy to clean up. Great for smoothies!

Pros: Can blend a lot more items vs. a nutri-bullet. Does not move when making a smootie Easy to clean Makes the smoothie pretty quickly. Cons: It is way too loud. Does not come with accessories. Overall, i love it . Solid built.
