Powerful food processor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja doesn't need any introduction and this time, they have done it again. This is one of the most powerful food processors I've used so far with 1000W power. It's so powerful that they had to provide suction cups on the base to hold the device down to the counter to keep it stable during operation and they do a very good job. We also own Ninja's AutoIQ blender which is also a 1000W machine. We have been using it for little under 2 years and are very much pleased with that. So I had no doubt about buying thisNinja food processor. I can blindely buy and trust any of their kitchen item. This food processor has proved me right again. Box contains the motor base, the container, slicing/shredding disc, shredder, dough mixer and an instruction guide. The operating buttons on this processor are (in same sequence): Power on/off, chop, puree, dough and disc (AutoiQ functions), as well as low, high and pulse (manual functions). AutoIQ functions need a little time to get used to but like I mentioned above, we already have Ninja's AutoIQ blender and were pretty much familiar with it. So using this processor was very easy. The container and the lids get locked in place when you use it. Suction cups at the base hold the entire processor in place. Long story short, everything is securely tight in their place and there's no room for any mistake. I've been using it for more than 2 weeks now and I'm impressed with it. We have made a variety of food items in it like baby food, pico de gallo, pesto sauce, guacamole paste, to shred cheese, to chop veggies. It takes very little to no time. I've seen some people use for making dough for cooking dough. We haven't tried it yet but would love to as my 5 yo son loves cookies. Another thing that we want to try is making pizza dough as our entire family is a pizza lover. So these two are the next things on my to-do list. There are endless possiblities that you can try on this little gadget. Ninja claims that it can prepare 2 pounds of dough in about 30 seconds. That's really impressive. This food processor has yet to disappoint me. My wife also like it very much. We had a relatively inexpensive food processor that we bought about 3 years ago which has been alright. Didn't impress us much but was useful when needed. Ever since we got this Ninja, we never looked back. We will be donating the other one soon. Just like any other kitchen product, it needs to be cleaned thoroughly & regularly. I hand wash them every other day. I even remove the seal to clean it properly. That's the key right there which I learned while researching about this product. As long as you do it, you won't get any foul smell or bad taste in your food. This is one powerful food processor that can process pretty much any food item that you want. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this and will definitely recommend it to anyone.

Received Clearly Previously Used Item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is currently for Best Buy specifically, not the food processor itself. I ordered this new (NOT refurbished) and got a banged up box with all sorts of brown packing tape all over it. Very clearly returned by a previous customer. It's not in stock at any local Best Buy, so now I have to go through the headache of shipping it back and waiting another week for a new one. I'll update my review when Best Buy ships me a NEW food processor.

Dangerous product
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this 5/2022 and have used maybe five times…tonight was using to slice potatoes and all of the sudden horrible plastic breaking noise and little chards of plastic came off the feed chute lid some went into potatoes so had to dump them but worst of all one went in to my arm, felt like being poked with a needle. I dont even want fixed as I would be afraid to use another one. Ninja should give me my money back. Very sad as I have other Ninja products but this one is very chesply made.

Disgusted!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered a new Ninja 9 cup food processor from Best Buy I had it delivered. When it showed up, the box looked like it went across the country twice. The box was all bent and re sealed. I took it out of the box and i could tell it was used. There was a chip in the body of it, the suction cups were greasy and full of crap. I returned it right away. If i wanted an exchange, my Best Buy didn't have it. No one from Best Buy has contacted me about it. I couldn't believe they sent me a used product. I am so disappointed with them!!

Perfect for the home cook!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a food processor that can do it all, this one should be high on your list. The controls are easy to use and will turn itself off when it finishes whichever button you've used. It's really beneficial for making small batches of dough (pizza dough, biscuits, etc) when you don't want to break out a stand mixer. It's a little bigger than some of the other models out there, but only in height, not in taking up width on your countertops. As with most food processors in this price range, it's on the louder side, but not as bad as some I've had in the past.

Just OK
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja® Professional Plus Food Processor with Auto-iQ is very useful for cooking your meals from scratch everyday. There are three blade assemblies to chop, puree and to make dough. It is easy to use with simple auto IQ one touch buttons. The backlight LEDs are a nice touch and make the food processor look fairly modern. The machine stands firm with its suction cups fixed to the kitchen countertop and does an amazing job of shredding, slicing or chopping with ease. The 1000- peak-watt Motor base does get loud sometimes but the work done is great. The 9 cup precision processor bowl makes measuring quantities easy but I wish its material was a bit sturdier than the present. The 9-cup bowl makes it impractical for small jobs since cleaning it is not a quick job. Unfortunately, mine chipped the very first day I used it when it fell down about 3 ft. However, this machine does stand as a useful helper in the kitchen with all it's multi functions and uses. As touched upon earlier as well, my major qualm with the machine is the inferior choice of materials used. This includes the bowl/jar as well as blade assemblies which look poorly finished.

Powerful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow!! First of all I have never owned a food processor. But this one changed my life. Its a super powerful machine that chops, shreds and grates anything you put in it. I tried the slicer attachment and it did a great job slicing the lettuce just in seconds!! Cucumbers, onions, tomatoes you name it. The chopper works amazing as well. I did salsa and pico de gallo and the chopping was very fined. The feeder is a little bit small so you do need to just chop whatever you are putting in small pieces. Other than that is fine. Comes with 3 attachments, which it would of been nice to have a storage container for them because they are very sharp. So just be careful with them. Great machine, now I don’t have to spent a lot of time chopping or slicing with this beauty. Definitely recommend it!!!

Excellent Food Processor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja has been making kitchen gadgets for quite a while. My first experience was a small blender that I purchased over 10 years ago. I was surprised, after having gone through several smaller blender products that were pricier, how much stronger, simpler and better the Ninja was. The good news is, with the newer generation of the Professional Plus line (what is this MS Office?) Ninja hasn’t lost its value proposition. The Food Processor is a versatile kitchen tool. First of all, the Food Processor is a sizable device. It includes a 1000w motor and 9 cup processing bowl. The design is quite intuitive while being secure. The processing bowl locks into place, and the lid itself locks in place with a securing button to avoid accidental spillage. It’s a far cry from the processor/blenders I grew up with, which required manual intervention to keep from painting your walls. All these locks are required to be in place for it to run, so I appreciate that when my 3 & 5 year old kids wanted to help make a sweet dough the other day. There is a cord management around the air vent in back allowing you to wrap the cord up when done. Another nice touch is the suction cups on the bottom of the processor that helps keep it in place making this a hands free tool (won’t vibrate itself off the counter). Included in the box are a chopping blade, dough mixing blade, and slicer/shredding attachment. I didn’t get a chance to use the slicer, but I’ll speak for the mixing/processing blade and dough blade. Besides the blades, there is documentation including a ‘Inspiration guide’ which is basically a helpful mini-cookbook with some ideas/meals to integrate the food processor in. The blades themselves are really good quality. The chopping blade made short work of ice, fruit, and I could easily simple chop or purée whatever I was processing. The buttons are helpful here, as they pretty much do what they say. I did find that occasionally I would need to run a program multiple times - for instance with the dough - to get the correct consistency, but doughs can be quite temperamental. Overall the processor worked well as a chopper, mixer, and smoothie maker. I haven’t tried shredding my own cheese, but I must say that looked quite intriguing - I’ll comment when I get a cheese block to shred. Besides the programs, there is also a manual low, high and pulse settings which work well. One nice plus is that all the parts here are dishwasher safe. They aren’t hard to hand clean if you need to get multiple rounds of processing done though. Everything is simple to take apart and cleans up easily. It’s all clear plastic as well, which means you can easily spot check to make sure nothing starting growing anywhere in case something was missed during cleaning. Overall I found the Professional Plus a nice addition to my household where we’re starting to make more and more at home. It’s versatile, which is important for any tool this big, and quite effective. Ninja kitchen products have been a mainstay in our household this tool is no different. Highly recommended.

All you need in a food processor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own several Ninja kitchen appliances and they never disappoint. The same goes for this food processor! I previously owned a Ninja blender and food processor combo that came with the top attachment that sat on top of the different containers. This product is everything you'll need in a food processor and more! What's included: 1000 watt base that is equipped with the Auto IQ feature 9 cup food processor bowl with food pusher and lid Dough blade Reversible disc for shredding and slicing Disc adapter Quad chopping blade Several guides Use This food processor can be used for many different things and the size is perfect for even large family meals. The base is such a high wattage that it's powerful and works quickly even if the bowl is filled to capacity. There are four pre-settings to make cooking even easier: Chop veggies, shred cheese, make smooth sauces, and pizza/cookie doughs. These settings make it much easier to do normally tedious things like shredding cheese and chopping garlic. Even though there are several attachments, you can easily alternate in between for all of your cooking needs. Cleaning this is a breeze, the bowl quickly detaches. After you take the attachments out you can simply put some dish soap in and clean the bowl with ease. Pros: POWERFUL Versatile for many needs Easy cleaning High capacity Includes a recipe guide and inspiration Cons: Base is somewhat large and heavy Overall this is a great item especially because it meets many different needs in one simple appliance. I would make sure you have ample kitchen storage as the base is about 9x9 inches. Ninja is a brand I count on for quality and consistency as their products always last and provide the most in one item.

Nice Food Processor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a fan of SharkNinja products, particularly their line of food processors. This particular Ninja is a nice little warrior and made a welcome addition to our kitchen. As with any Ninja we've owned, this one works exactly as it should. It handles pretty much any job as hoped. A couple of stand-out features for our use have been: * The reversible spindle blade. One way slices. The other way shreds. * The self-cleaning aspect. Note - this model comes with a 9-cup bowl but does NOT include smaller smoothie cups. It did not work with older Ninja smoothie cups we have, and I do not see any online as available accessories. This one is more of a focused food processor, which is perfectly fine. We have not used the1-touch dough maker yet but are looking forward to it. I had actually stalled writing my review a bit because I wanted to test this feature, too, but we just haven't gotten around to it. Regardless, it has plenty of power. The presets work perfectly. For a food processor, I actually thought it was fairly quiet. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Great Performer, Confusing Controls
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja is tad noisy, but less so than many other powerful food processors. Not something I'd want to use in the middle of the night with anyone in the house trying to sleep, but again, it isn't really any louder than comparable units. There are three "blade" attachments: a regular "chopper" blade, a dough blade, and a disc blade. The "chopper" blade is an odd design, which is apparently why it is so effective. The dough blade is obviously designed to knead dough. I have a bread machine, so I really don't have any use for another machine that does only a part of that job. It's still cool that it can perform the task. The cleverly-designed disc blade flips for slicing and shredding tasks. It does both jobs well. The one thing I really didn't like was the controls. It's not difficult to figure out, but it isn't very intuitive. I found myself pressing the wrong buttons quite a bit. Also, this type of button (a sheet of plastic over "bubble switches" as I call them) seem to become a problem after the plastic surface has been flexed too many times (through normal use) and cracks. I've had probably a half-dozen food processors, and the one thing I hate about them is that they are a pain to clean. It is so much of a problem, that I'd rather not even use it, because it will require cleaning, and I'm just too picky to do it halfway. Enter the Ninja: this machine is remarkably easy to clean! I had my doubts when I read that it was practically self-cleaning, but then I tried it. Sure, I scooped out the remainder of the contents, but then I put some water in, a couple squirts of dish soap, and ran it for a few seconds. Magic! All I had to do then was rinse out the soap suds, and let it dry. What do you know - a food processor I might actually keep using!
