This is one of the best coffeemaker I have purchased so far. Easy to add water and clean because the water reservoir detaches. It has the permanent filter and love the build in spoon that is a perfect measurement that attaches to the cover of the reservoir. Definitely recommend.

This thing has changed my life, and Best Buy gave such a great discount for the holidays. I've suffered all year because I go to work before any of the coffee places in my town are open, and now my coffee is hot waiting for me in the morning. Thank you!

I have been using my Ninja CE201 for five years until I decided to retire it and go with a newer model. My first impression is this Ninja XL 14 cups pro has an entirely different design than its predecessors. I still like the older version for having the control panel on the bottom right side. However, I got used to it after two days of using it. I love the Ninja's simplicity of use; the coffee maker has a removable water reservoir, so there is no pouring mess. In addition, easy to clean as well as no water filter is needed. After I unboxed and wiped it off, the coffee maker was sitting on the counter, surprisingly compact and not taking up much space compared to its predecessors. Lifting and holding the water reservoir is more secure, and water level measurement is printed on both sides of the tank for easy reading. After filling the tank, I immediately pushed the clean button, and the cleaning cycle began. After 15 minutes, the cleaning cycle has been completed. I set the clock, put my favorite coffee, and then push and hold warm to adjust the warming duration. I love that the warming duration is adjustable. The default is 2 hours and can be adjusted to 3 or 4 hours. I changed mine to 4, so I can have my coffee always warm when I need it. Honestly, the temp is precise, and even after 2 hours, the coffee was hot just like it was freshly brewed. The scoop is stored nicely on the lid of the reservoir. The delay option worked tremendously, and my morning coffee was ready for me at the time I had chosen. The refreshing timer option is fantastic as it lets me know how long my coffee has been brewed and warmed. The digital display is well visible at night. The only difference I noticed between my old coffee maker and this model is the weight. I feel the weight has been downgraded because when I put the carafe back, the machine slides around a bit, which I did not like. Great coffee maker. No regret; instead, Ninja products consistently exceed my expectations and do their purpose.

After discovering pink mold in the water reservoir of our old cheapy coffee maker, I went on the hunt for something with a removable water reservoir that would be easier to get completely clean. This is a simple but really nice machine and we have no complaints!

Programming is simple and includes 2 flavor settings – Classic or Rich. Classic produces a smooth and delicious brew, while Rich creates a bold stronger flavor. The 24 hour programable feature will make sure you can wake up every day with delicious cup first thing in the morning. The design is solid and features a removable brew basket and permanent filter. The removable water reservoir is convenient and easy to fill and clean. The capacity fits a large 70 ounces, or about 14 cups, more than enough for a solid lazy morning. Brew time is quick and the 4 hour keep warm function does a great job or keeping coffee at the perfect temperature. The build quality is high as should be expected from Ninja. No surprises there. Easy to use. Like the removable water tank for easy cleaning. Unfortunately, the warm plate scratched within the first 2 weeks. Something you might expect after a year of use. That was disappointing.

After open the box and start using it, I noticed that the water reservoir was broken and leaking water over the counter top.

The Ninja XL coffee maker is a easy, simple to use coffee maker that offers the bare essentials needed to get your day started. And although it may not offer all the bells and whistles of most coffee makers out there, there is still something very nice in its simplicity. Sometimes more doesn't always mean better and the Ninja brand continues to show it. So out of the box you get everything needed to get you started. The unit comes with a set of simple programable instructions and is pretty much ready to go out of the box. The unit does come with a mesh reusable coffee filter making the need to buy disposable filters one less thing you need to worry about. The unit is very basic in design and function which should make ease of use for most people. This unit offers the bare necessities to get you started including, on/off brew button, classic/rich brews, clean function, warm button\ and your programmable button which allows you to set up brew times. The function is as basic as it gets and should really require no further instructions on how to use. The classic/rich button allows you to determine how strong you want your coffee brewed in the morning and whenever you chose to make your coffee. The classic function allows for a smoother blend giving it a more watered down taste and also reduces the caffeine content as well. This allows for a better taste for those with a more sensitive pallet. The rich brew obviously offers a more pronounced taste with a higher caffeine output for those looking for a little extra kick. I will say there is a noticeable difference between the two brews. On the classic feature it seemed as though my caffeine was not hitting me as hard which made me have the need to grab multiple cups of coffee. The taste also came off a little bit more bland. Switching over to the rich flavor was definitely more for me as the coffee regained more of its flavor and the caffeine output was also more noticeable allowing me to start my day with just a single cup. The mesh filter does a awesome job at filtering out all the coffee grains and not once did any of the grains make it in to my brew. As someone who uses a K-Cup getting coffee grains in your drink is annoying and in my opinion i feel it takes away a bit from the flavor. Moving over to the traditional set up the Ninja has provided with this machine means you can get back to the basics of coffee brewing which will offer you a more flavorful and grain free taste. Cleaning of the mesh filter is very easy and is done in a matter of seconds. The unit does offer a self cleaning set up which is very easily done by filling the tank with clean water or your favorite non-toxic cleaner then simply press the clean button and let the unit do the rest. The provided Ninja pot also has a unique set up that allows for clean pouring which prevents the coffee from running down the sides or bottom allowing for less mess to clean up. As a matter of fact as simple as it sounds the pour from the coffee pot was actually one of the first things that stood out to me. It was very clean and smooth and never once made a single mess. Even when tipped almost completely vertical the pour always stayed about the same. All in all that's really about it. This maker really is that simplistic but that doesn't mean its a bad thing. At the price point this unit comes in at it really is a no brainer and should be a easy buy as Ninja is known for making good products. As someone who owns quite a bit of their products i can say first hand that their products are built to last. If your are a avid coffee lover then this simple design is sure to please just about most people out there.

Just under a year and the ring around the glass portion of the carafe has started to leak and pours all over the counter when trying to make a cup of coffee. Now I have to buy a new coffee maker. For $80 it should’ve lasted more than a year.

Not properly packed when shipped and item got damaged in delivery. Labels were slapped on the coffee maker box and shipped just like that with no protection. Do not purchase from here as it will ship in it original box. Mine showed up torn and looked like it was hit by the truck. Coffee maker, which was a gift to my coffee addicted parents, was damaged.
