Grill to Greatness

This Ninja Sizzle™ Pro XL Indoor Griddle and Grill is the bomb for indoor or outdoor cooking where/when you can.
The best thing about this that all other griddles I have tried is the evenness of the heat it produces, no cold or hot spots to undercook or burn your meal. Both inserts heat evenly and the grill plate sears and leaves grate marks for great presentation.
Clean up is a breeze with both plates, they are PFAS free and ceramic. I have cooked everything from pancakes to steaks and haven't had anything stick to the point I have to scrub it. A gentle wipe with a wet cloth is all it takes.
Another feature that sets this apart is the lid, it allows better cooking by holding in heat and flavor. Follow the directions when using fats/oils for a smoke free cooking experience. The lid also controls spatter as a bonus.
The only down side to this XL griddle is the XL size when talking about storage. The plates don't self store so you need a place for the plates and the griddle. This is something to consider but luckily this has a little brother with a smaller footprint.
Go get one and try it you won't be sorry.
Not sure what temperature to cook your food at, asked and answered with the custom temperature control with temps from 250-500 degrees F.

Immediately you notice how light and durable it's construction is. The extra-large surface makes it perfect for preparing multiple servings at once which is a game-changer for meal prepping. So far I have used it to cook pancakes, bacon and eggs in the morning and burgers and hotdogs over the memorial day weekend and it heats evenly. The interchangeable grill and griddle plates make it easy to switch. It heats up quickly, and the temperature control seems accurate. The nonstick plates are dishwasher safe and the lid is light and easy to clean. I have a smaller version also but I prefer this much more especially for cooking breakfast where the extra room makes a huge difference. My biggest gripe was the simple task of removing the help sticker on the front. The adhesive did not come off easily but that was my only issue which is irrelevant but I still wanted to mention it. I have 6 different Ninja kitchen devices and none have disappointed. This along with the pressure cooker are the best yet.

The Ninja - Sizzle Pro XL 20-Inch Indoor Griddle & Grill with ProTemp IQ - Silver was well packaged and came with wonderful instructions which included temp for type of meat or vegetable for the grill side and when to flip if needed. It also included instructions for different foods for the griddle plate as well. I started with the grill and took the time to do the burn off like the instructions said. The first time grilling, I attempted pork chops. My husband and I loved them. They turned out perfect thanks to the easy instructions and temperature guidelines. It's ingenious to have the lid detach for easy cleaning. It was very easy to clean the lid and the plates. That's one of my favorite parts. I also like that there's interchangeable plates. My next few tries was also on the grill side with burgers then chicken. All great. Be very careful when using the grill. The lid and plate edges get very very HOT. I was trying to move it on my counter slightly and in process touched the lid with several fingertips burning them. Just keep thatin mind. I'm not much of a breakfast person so I've not yet tried the griddle plate, but I think I will have Philly steak sandwiches next. The griddle would be perfect for those! I do have one complaint and the reason for the star demotion: the cord is far too short. For any older home (and mine isn't that old, mid 90s) there's not outlets everywhere. The power cord is only about 20 inches or so if I recall correctly which means I couldn't place it where I wanted to for use. Other than that, great grill!

Get that Sizzle with the Griddle or Grill

The Ninja Sizzle Pro XL Indoor Griddle & Grill is a solid in home or apartment traditional grill substitute. Electric, making for easy upkeep/use without concern of propane or the need of coals, etc. The 20" length cooktop provides adequate space when cooking for a family of 4, possibly 6 depending on eating dynamics. There are two cook plates, griddle and grill. The grill is able to provide that variable sear, while griddle provides an even hot cook. This allows for consistent sear/browning without having the issues of certain parts of a traditional pan hotter than others. There is a ventilated lid that allows for heat to be locked in - which can be easily removed to be washed. The cook plates as well, making clean up not too much of a hassle. There is a simple display, allowing for temperature and time to be selected. It is a fantastic feature to be able to dial in certain temperature - can adjust temperatures based on oil being used, type of food and desired cook. The griddle top is wonderful for breakfast - being able to make pancakes, eggs on a smooth, well heated/balanced surface. Family are fans. This is now my go to with the grill plate when it comes to sous vide steaks. I previously would use a cast iron to get the sear after cooking in the water bath - now have been using this to get that quick sear and easy/quicker cleanup than cast iron pan. Overall, very satisfied with this product when it comes to a countertop, indoor grill option. Of course, not a true substitute for an outdoor propane or coal grill but a nice substitute for those who that is not an option.

Excellent Addition to the Kitchen Small Appliances

This is a solid addition to the home kitchen suite of small appliances. The unit is quite large and has space to cook enough burgers and hot dogs for the whole family. The cook tops are easy to switch, simply pick up and put on. With this unit, Ninja has thought through a lot of the small details to make use as easy as possible. Built in high, medium, and low setting with suggestions based on what you're cooking make it easy for amateur chefs to use while a more specific thermometer based mode caters to more advanced kitcheneers. Down to the way grease enters the grease trap has been engineered to keep the parts of the unit clean that would otherwise be difficult to clean. Speaking of easy to clean, the lid itself lifts off and is dishwasher safe provided your dishwasher is quite large. Either way, much easier to clean removed rather than attached. If you're looking for an indoor grill and flat top combined, look no further. I've made some excellent burgers, dogs, and a quality breakfast spread with pancakes on this guy since having it and had a great time.

I got to tell you, Ninja is putting out some great cooking items. The Ninja Sizzle Pro XL 20-Inch Indoor Griddle & Grill with ProTemp IQ is no exception.
I've cooked a couple meals on this so far, using the grill and the griddle. Burgers and hot dogs heat up evenly and well on the Lo setting (as suggested on the grill itself) with pancakes cooked to perfection on the griddle.
The big thing for me with these kitchen gadgets is the cleaning ease. The lid pops right off, allowing a quick trip to the sink to give it a light scrub while the grill/griddle platform lifts right off. The grease trap, found on the front is easy to keep an eye on and remove for cleaning and draining. Unlike their Woodfire Grill which has the drain trap in the back, sometimes forgotten abount.
The sleek design and compact nature allows it to look at home in your kitchen, while still being able to store on a lower cabinet shelf. The lid lets you be able to put things on top of it without worrying about any scratches to the cooking surface.

I’m not sure when we started turning to Ninja for cutting edge cooking appliances, but that time is here. I for one am all for it, as they have proven to be quite capable in my experience. What about the Ninja – Sizzle Pro XL? Well, let’s see what we got..
This griddle-grill combo comes packaged well and takes little to no assembly to get it up and running in minutes. My first impression was that the Sizzle Pro was well built, but not as sturdy feeling as the Ninja 7 in 1 grill/smoker/air fryer I already have. Don’t get me wrong, this thing is not fragile or cheap. The build quality just seems to be a tad lower than expected, primarily because the cover/hood feels lighter and looser than expected – it is removable though and that could be part of it. This observation may be a matter of preference, and it’s quite possible I’m a little stuck on previous experience (my 7 in 1).
One of my favorite things about the Sizzle Pro is how simple it is to start cooking on. It has fantastic temperature control and offers both grill and griddle surfaces to cook on. It touts full heating coverage over the entire surface with consistent temperature from edge to edge, and I have to give it to them, that’s accurate. Set the temperature using either the preset modes (low, medium, or high) or a custom temp and allow it to preheat. After that, it’s ready to rock and roll. One thing about the Sizzle Pro you really have to be aware of is that the sides of the enclosure are part of the cooking surface plate. You should be careful not to touch the sides of the grill while it is still hot. I think this lends to the looseness of the lid because it really kind of sits on the sides of the cooking surface. With the Sizzle Pro designed for indoor grilling/griddle cooking, I expected some form of smoke control. Ninja advises would be chefs to use certain cooking oils to keep down smoke and splatter. I can’t say this thing gives you a smoke-free experience, but it wasn’t bad. I think I would have loved to see some sort of filter option, especially since this thing is aimed toward an indoor cooking experience.
All my preferences and quirks aside, this thing really gets the job done when you want to cook in volume. The consistency it provides all over the cooking surface is really second to none. I really have come to appreciate this when cooking the same thing on the entire cooking surface. This might not be suitable for situations where you may want different temps on different parts of the cooking surface – just something to keep in mind. All in all, I feel Ninja has done it again. They have delivered another useful and cutting edge meal prep solution, and I’m here to enjoy it.

The Ninja Sizzle pro XL 20 inch indoor/outdoor griddle is such a great little grill. This little product can very easily compete with larger appliances.
I've cooked a few different meals on this now. My favorite part about this grill, making smash burgers! The surface of the griddle heats up to 500 degrees. This covers the entire surface. I had been planning on buying a blackstone, that is until i got this awesome griddle. I've done burgers, pancakes, chicken and steak for stir fry.
Cleanup is very simple and you can wash the griddle plates in the dishwaher if you chose to do so. My only complaint is the lid, it wish this was a little more sturdy and heavy duty. Being an indoor grill, when i open it up under a kitchen cabinet, it doesnt clear the bottom. No big deal though, i just use it on the kitchen island instead. This grill can get messy. Make sure to take proper care when griling food.
Overall, this is a great product, especially for those summer camping trips!

Sizzle Pro XL 20-Inch Indoor Griddle & Grill with ProTemp IQ, Was so excited to get this grill/griddle I have used it a few times in the past week & my husband definitely loves it! No assemble required except when changing the grill and griddle for plates which is a 2 second switch, the cleaning is so easy, non stick plates of course once they have cooled but simple and fast, the top lid lifts right off to wash super easy also. I didn’t have any issues with smoking some oil splatter the first time but I figured it out don’t put oil on the grill during the pre heat mode, and once it’s done that takes about 9 mins to preheat but you can also do a skip pre heat mode, so once it’s pre heated then I put the oil on the grill plate and that definitely reduced oil splatter. It does come with a reference book for cooking time and which plate you’ll be using, and also has some recipes in it. For setting you can choose custom temperature or choose from the low/Med/High options and it has a countdown trimer, so I made marinaded boneless skinless chicken breast and asparagus it took about 25 mins on the grill plate flipped it a couple times came out perfect, juicy, made pancakes and eggs on the grilled perfection I felt like it was so much quicker & easier to clean up 1 pan cleaning. Only thing I found weird were the setting which are digital the Medium setting does not look like it means Medium, so we normally abbreviate it as Med it was MD but the “M” was weird looked like part of the digital screen was not working. It bothered my OCD haha. Other then that I Love it! Oh yeah also has little pull out tray in the front for grease catcher.
