He looks animated, springing into action. Functionality-wise this amiibo unlocks new gear that has to be unlocked over the course of playing online matches. The first piece (shoes) are unlocked right away, then after ten wins the shirt, and finally after another ten wins the final head gear. Realistically you'll probably need to play 50 or 60 matches to unlock all of the gear it offers, but that's part of the fun. Great pickup if you are a fan of the Splatoon series.
