A great new way to introduce characters
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short and simple: Nintendo didn't invent the NFC technology, nor were they the 1st to use them in video game hardware...but they've changed things a bit with Amiibo. Unlike Skylanders, you can use these same characters in DIFFERENT games, not just 1, or even 1 type. There is a lot of potential here. The princess is a legacy NES character that my kids love and it's very nice to have some that are girl-friendly. While she's not much of a fighter, it's a neat addition to Mario Kart. I can't wait to see what other games allow these to function....very cool!

Great for gamers and collectors

These things are great for collectors too. I have a bunch of them and I can't wait for them to reship Marth so I can get him and use him in Code Name STEAM.

Addictive Amiibos

Mainly cause I hate playing against her in Super Smash Bros but the quality of the figure is good even though the pose is a little boring.

Nice Little Figure

Leveling them up and trying to get them to learn on what to do against CPUs or people is fun. There still is not much use from them.
