Cant go wrong

Get them the gift card and then figure out how to redeem it on the Nintendo e-shop. Sure, your kid forgot his password, sure, theres a capital and a special character. You will get it eventually. Then dont worry even though the gift card covers the game, the parents have to cover the taxes, are you really going to make your 10 year old cover the taxes, maybe it would be great to break down a leason in economics and taxation,. Just to watch their eyes gloss over. But, obviously you cant go wrong worh the gift card.
