An exceptional accessory that fills in the remaining component that the Wii U didnt come with. This will allow you to hook up 4 Gamecube Controllers with no problems. If you have gamecube controllers lying around, they are compatible so use them while they still work.

Gamecube controllers do really work well for Smash Bros. With this, I can use my Wavebirds on the Wii U for Smash Bros. Wavebirds are Nintendo's own wireless gamecube controllers so the adapter will work with wireless gamecube controllers.

This adapter works great for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. I am able to continue using the GameCube controllers I've had since the GameCube was current gen. I am a little disappointed that the only game that utilizes the adapter is Smash Bros. I hope other games, like Mario Kart 8, will add support.

if you want to play the old school way on smash for wii u you definitely need this to plug in your old GameCube controllers or the new smash logo GameCube controllers released.

So glad Nintendo made this adapter to use the gamecube controllers with the Wii U console. Easy to use, plug and play, they instantly worked once you start up the game.

It does what it needs to do and does it perfectly. Old GameCube controllers, new ones or even Dance Dance Revolution dance pads will work with this thing! When ever Nintendo decides to release more buy it ASAP!

Great use of the Wii U to be abke to play the smash bros games for the Wii U and even Brawl as well. I got a feeling this will also advance playing NGC games as well in the future. Great extension!

Bought this for my son so that he can use the GameCube controllers for super smash Bros. Using that plus the wii remotes, he can play with 9 players. Works without any problems.

Great adapter, you need two to get 8 player smash bros game going with friends, this adapter lets you use the preferred controller to play the game. I recommend It with the game.

The adapter for the Gamecube controller is obviously great, although you may have a hard time actually finding one in stores. If you can, snap it up and use it for Smash.

The only way I can play super smash bros is with the original gamecube controller. This adapter is a must if you want that "retro" feel of the gamecube controller.

The Wii U Game Cube Controller Adapter was sort of hard to find. Very happy to finally find it Best Buy!! It is a well made high quality Official Nintendo item and it shows. Does what it's supposed to do and that's all I can ask! This item was a lot larger in person than I Imagined it to be. All in all, very satisfied! Happy Gaming!!
