    The game cube controller is the best way to play this game. I've used the tablet controller, the wiimote, and the pro controller. All are fine to play the game with but by far the gamecube controller is the best.

    When Nintendo redesigned the original Wii to remove GameCube compatibility, I thought my GameCube controllers were destined for the closet for good. Nintendo says "No!" and makes a Wii U adapter that brings the fan-favorite controller to the Wii U for Smash play. As of now, Smash is the only game that this adapter works with, so save your 20 dollars if Smash is not your thing.

    This is an amazing product the only bad thing is that it took over a month from release date to get it. I've never seen one in store and I got lucky to be able to directly order one in store at Best Buy. I've only had it for a month and someone dropped it at a tournament so sometimes it doesn't register controllers. Now I'm worried as to how long it will take me to find another one.
