Originally I was worried about my Joycons running out of power so I decided to grab this. In all honesty, I feel like I really shouldn't have bought it because my Joycons have never died, thus making this product collect dust on my shelves. It does do it's job as a Joycon charger for when you want to play on tv mode or play the Switch on it's kickstand. Like the grips that comes with the Switch it has an awesome grip so that may be another positive. I only recommend this to anyone who, for some reason, doesn't charge their Joycons or for anyone who wants to charge them while playing in the two earlier mentioned playing options.

It's no Pro Controller. But it's nice to have something that charges the joycons while you play. It feels about the same as the original joycon bridge adapter that came with the Switch. But, this one has a USB C port on the top to charge and part of the back is dark grey transparent plastic. Feels sturdy and have had no problems connecting.

I use the Switch only at home and have been playing a lot of Zelda - Breath of the Wild. The batteries on the joycons last a good while but I have two sets in case I play with a friend on other games or have a longer session. It's the same as the grip that comes with the system but with a nifty USB plugin for charging the controllers. This lets me use the normal grip while the backup joycons charge fully. Awesome!

I bought this on release thinking that I would need it to keep my second pair of joycon charged. I hardly ever use it. Nothing against the product, I just find myself playing with separated joycon or a pro controller more often. I don't use my grip or my charging grip very often. The battery life is plenty long with the joycon and rotating which pair is on the switch while charging keeps them both topped off.

This is almost a necessary item for the Switch. Some games are just too hard to play with separated joy-cons, and while the Switch does come with a regular grip, it doesn’t charge the joy-cons like this does. The charge holds for a long time as well, and the clear design just looks cool.

This controller grip is one of the more useful products I've bought for the switch. Being able to charge the joycons while you're getting knee-deep in to a 13 hour Breath of the Wild Gaming session is very nice. The only problem I had was when my cat thought that the charge cord was his brand new jump rope and began to roll on top of it after I wouldn't swing it around for him.

This product serves its purpose extremely well and I feel like for new switch owners this is a good source to charge your wireless handheld controllers since the original switch doesn’t have a charging port unless you play on the switch device handheld or charge the controllers along side the switch which doesn’t allow you to play while charging.

If you’ve got extra Joy-Cons that get enough use and you need to charge them while you charge another set on the dock, this is a great solution. It’s got an indicator light to show that it’s charging and when it’s done. Of course, you’ll need a USB-C cord to connect it to but it can be any USB-C cable.

This item is a must have for Nintendo Switch owners - it lets you use the joycons while plugged into the console over the included USB cable. This is similar to but different from the one included with the console that does not include a charging port or cable.

The Nintendo Switch comes with several accessories for its Joy-Con controllers. Included is the useful Joy-Con grip, a plastic shell that holds both included Joy-Cons so you can use them like a conventional gamepad. It feels comfortable, but you can't charge the Joy-Cons while you're using it; for that, you need to connect them to the Switch itself. If you want to keep playing while the Switch in its dock, you need to get the optional $29.99 Joy-Con Charging Grip. It's useful, but it's the type of utility that should have simply been included with the Switch itself.

The charging grip lets you use the provided USB-C cable to recharge an extra set of Joycons. It does not come with a wall charger, but you can plug it into the USB port on the Switch. This really should have been packed in with the Switch instead of the chargerless grip that came with it.

This should have been in the original packaging for the Switch, but instead we get one that doesn’t charge in the box. Anyway, be aware that this doesn’t have any built-in battery to charge the units; rather, it adds a USB-C port to the top of the mount to charge while you play. It is also a different material than the non-charging unit for some reason, which I’m not a huge fan of. Nevertheless, this is very useful if you want to play for extended periods of time with the Switch connected to a TV or otherwise separated from the controllers.

If you have the Joy Cons, but like to use them as a single controller, then this is perfect for you to use and charge. It is more important when you have an extra set of joy cons, but don't have an extra charging stand. My kids love to play with them as a single controller. Then can keep it charging while play, or go completely wireless and then charge them up after they are done.

This awesome little grip is exactly like the comfort grip only it charges your Joy-Cons while you play. This is an essential for any Switch owners with more than one pair of Joy-Cons who play a lot. There is also a charging station for sale that charges two Joy-Cons at once but it isn't a grip and you can't play while they are charging, keep this in mind when finding yourself a Joy-Con charger!

I wanted to purchase the pro controllers, but the price was just way too high. I purchased this instead and am able to play with friends (who bring their own controllers) or by myself with a setup that is superior to simply holding the two joy-cons or holding the joy-cons when connected to the switch (which I otherwise find painful in my wrists).
