This is nice to have when you want to charge your controller and play at the same time. The only caveat, you have to have a long enough cord.

Works perfect. Is simply a grip that you can plug a cord into the top of that will charge your joycons when locked in. Will charge while controller is on and being used as well as when off so you can use this as a charing dock for extra joycons if you don't have a dedicated one. Solid product.

Charges while playing if you want to use a wired configuration. Easy to use. Wish these came standard with the Joy-Con.

It is overpriced and should of came with the console already but i cant deny its very handy to have on you but not mandatory. I bought it anyways.

Got this to pair with extra set of joy cons that we got during BF. The only difference between this and the grip that came w/ the Switch is you're able to charge the joy cons with this grip. Just thought this would be a handy feature and b/c it was on sale, made sense to me. It isn't too heavy and feels fine in hand.

This charge grip is great and it really should have just been included with the console itself. It has a nice feel and works well and the included USB C to USB A cable makes it easy to charge in any outlet. The cable is also not very bulky and can charge the Switch itself so it makes for a much better option for on the go charging than the brick plug that came with the console.

Purchased this so that My som didn’t have to charge his controllers on the docked Nintendo Switch. Now he just plugs in the cable and can continue to play while charging...or charge them overnight without having to take them out of the controller. This should be the adapter that comes with the Switch bundle.

Why this didn't ship with the console, is beyond me. This is great for when you want to play and charge your controller at the same time. For some who have a second controller, this isn't as big of an issue, as they can swap between docked controllers when the ones they are using start dying. But at $70 not many people have that luxury. It's upsetting that Nintendo didn't pack this in with their system, as low battery on your joycons, basically means you have to turn your living room experience into a corded handheld mode to charge your joycons :(

A bit pricey, but a great grip that will charge joy cons. Nintendo should have included this with the system rather than the non-functional grip.

Received a slightly used Nintendo Switch with an old holder for the Joy-Cons. Replacing it with this new one, which is rechargeable, was the best idea. Works great and I can play without any long wires running to the main unit. Just plug it in and charge up the Joy- Cons and start playing.

No complaints! Charges the separate controllers and acts as a grip.

This is the same size and shape as the non-charging version of this controller except that you can plug the Switch charging cable into it to charge both controllers without putting them back on your Switch device. This is very convenient especially if you use your Switch through a TV. Highly recommended!

A good way to keep playing when your joycons batteries run low. Would have been nice packaged with the console, but worth a buy anyway.

If you have a second pair of joycons this is a must have. As you can charge while you play. But I do think its a bit steep at 30 dollars.

We bought this because we weren't sure if the Switch was going to have a device in the box for making the Joy-Cons more like a traditional hand held controller. There IS a device in the box but this one has charging capabilities and the one in the box doesn't so that's a plus and when we buy more Joy-Cons we already have a holder for them if needed.

This charging grip is aesthetically similar to the grip included with the Nintendo Switch, but it keeps the joy cons charged while in use. Since I primarily use the switch while connected to the television in my living room, I like that the grip also allows me to charge the joy cons without connecting them to the main Switch unit each time.

This controller grip is excellent for my Nintendo Switch. I have a second set of joycons, and this allows me to always have them plugged in and ready to go when I want to play. The set that came with the console I leave hooked in at all times, and I use the controller when I am playing on the TV. Excellent build quality and it is a very great product.
