This is a good quality grip that allows you to charge two joycons at once. The grip that comes with the switch doesn't allow you to charge them in the grip. I got this for an extra set of joycons, so I would have 4 joycons to play multiplayer games (either 2 with 2 joycons in this charge grip and the one grip that comes with the switch, or 4 players with each having a joycon). Well, I and my kids, don't find the individual joycons very useful playing multiplayer. So we have used the joycon grips most of the time, playing 2 player (each with a grip and two joycons). I recently got the pro controller and I wish I would have got it earlier instead of extra joycons and a charging grip. I played over 100 hours of Zelda with this grip and joycons, and I like the pro controller better. This said, this grip is nice if you play a lot on the TV as you don't have to keep taking off the joycons to charge them.

I wish this grip came with the switch, because it's perfect for charging joycons without having to connect them to the switch when you're done. An absolute must-have for additional joycons since you need a grip for them anyway!

The Switch doesnt come with a charging grip so buying one is essential if you plan on playing countless of hours connected to a TV.

The standard joy con comes stock with the system. So EVERY time you want to charge it, you have to disassemble, plug, and charge. Waste of time especially when you can play AND charge at the same time. Eat the $10 bucks and toss the stock joycon in a drawer, never to be seen again. No brainer.

Definitely one of the best accessory for nintendo switch it keeps you gaming while charging the joycons for hours of game play

Having the handset grip with the charging cable makes things much simpler, particularly if you do most of your gaming at home. Not having to remove the Joy Cons from the handset every time you stop game play to re-attach and recharge is a nice touch. If you're looking for a second handset (e.g., for travel), this one is great.

If you just have one pair of Joy-Cons... it's a really life saver, so you can continue playing and charging at the same time!

Not much to say about this. They are Ridiculously expensive. But you got a have two. Why not give you two in the system?

How do I even talk about this? This is exactly what it says it is and does exactly what it says it does so in that regard I'd say it's just a bit expensive considering it doesn't come with its own battery to add just a way to charge while in a grip. But the real thing is: why didn't Nintendo just include this style grip with the system? So taking both things into account I'd say 3 stars is about right. You'll know if you want to spend $30 on this. If it were much cheaper / on sale, I'd say yeah, sure, it's way more convenient than that other literal piece of plastic.

The grip feels the same as the stock one just a bit heavier than the original- but not a major difference. Great to be able to charge your controller while playing when the system is in dock. I keep the controller charging near the couch and don't have to worry about keeping it attached to the Switch itself.

I think it is better than original grip, who come with console, it’s very useful because you can charge.

If you want to get a second set of Joycons, you need this charging grip in order to charge them easily.

Nintendo shoul have included this with the Switch system. But they make you buy it to make more money. The one that comes with the system will not keep your JoyCons charged. This one will. So you can actually play a lot longer. Not sure what the total time is, but I believe you can go days with this.

This was a great controller. I perfer this over the pro controller. It just feels good in your hands.

I bought it because it serves both as a charger and as a joycon holder for my second set of joycons.

I think they're about $10 more than they should be but it works great and fits nicely in my hands.

Must have to keep you’re joycons charged. Highly recommended if you want to keep joycons charged.

Good charging grip so that you can play while charging the joy cons and not have to worry of the battery dying mid game play. Picked up on sale at a good price too.

If you don't want to have to constantly reattach and detach the controller from the system to charge them while in TV mode, then this is for you. While it charges the controllers you can easily plug in the grip to charge rather then having to reattach the Joy Cons to charge on the system.

Product does what it is supposed to, just wish the one that came with the system was this one.
