Wanted a way to charge a second set of joy-cons and this does the trick. Even plugs into the Switch base station which makes it easy to use.

This is a must buy for the Switch as the charging grip allows you to tuck the switch away if you don't intend to carry it around much. It keeps the controller charged longer and is a much easier way to charge them

The Switch does include a grip, but the included grip does NOT charge the Joycons. Therefore if you want to get a second set of Joycons, I recommend getting this charging grip too in order to charge them easily.

You can charge the joycons on the console or on the charging dock. If you use the charging dock you are also gonna want the comfort grip. This kills 2 birds with one stone. If you have 2 sets of joycons, you can only charge one set at a time on the console so this is pretty much a necessity. A tad overpriced though.

We love this one. It charges the controller and reduces the time for charging. Wish we had gotten this before. Holds the charge for a long time.

A great charging alternative to the console itself. It's a shame it didn't come packaged with the system.

Great for playing games with both joy cons. Also charges when I’m done playing. Very easy to remove joy cons. Definitely worth having.

This rechargeable controller is a great back up controller or a great player two controller it's just like the original but it's nice being able to play on screen and still be able to charge

These are great if you want to at your switch while it's stationed to your television. It feels like a regular controller and provides loads of fun.

This is a nice grip to be able to charge JoyCons without having to swap between the Switch and the included grip. Makes a big difference if you usually keep your Switch docked and do not have a pro controller. Minus 1 star because this should be included with the Switch system.

Nintendo should have included the charge port on the grip that came with the switch, instead of making people spend an extra 30$ for one. It works as advertised, only it’s not very necessary. Controllers have a good battery life that will last for awhile, then just attach them back to the switch to recharge them. This is not really necessary at all.

Bought this to extend the battery life on kids switch controllers. Is also able to be used while charging instead of waiting for the packs to recharge to play

I got these because I had a ton of extra gift cards accrued up. I don't use them very often because the joycons get a good 20 hours or so alone, but the convenience of just plugging these in is nice in itself when they do need a charge. I hardly take out the joy cons from the grips anyway

This is an accessory that should've been available out of the box, but it's very useful to put two Joycons in a traditional, pro-style layout with the ability to charge.

Works great for charging as u play. Only issue is the cord is not long enough, should have been much longer if ur plugging into system itself but plugging into wall outlet works well.

Works exactly as described. My additional joycons are always charged, and, unlike a charging station, i can use it exactly like the one that came with the Switch.

The console comes with a similar product that makes the tiny JoyCon comfortable to use in regular hands. Nintendo knew that customers were going to want more of them. So they looked at it and said "how can we make it better?" Well, their solution was integrating a inductive charger into it! Well played Nintendo. You anticipated my thinking, designed a product based on a reasonable projection and sold me a licensed product that I didn't realize I wanted so much. AFFORDABLE UPGRADE. It is a shame that these practices are so rare.

I like the fact that you can combine two controllers into one and charger them together.

With an extra set of Joy-Cons, this thing is perfect. The only real change from the included Joy-Con grip in the box with the Switch is that this one has contacts and a USB-Type C cable for charging the connected JCs - Why the other grip was produced without the ability to connect the controller to power is beyond me. This one allows the controller to be used while charging and can act as a charging base for a connected set of JCs if another pair lives on the Switch. Just brilliant. Not sure why this isn’t the one in the box. It’s not a terribly complicated piece of kit.
