I bought this system to replace my 3ds xl and would have to say it is a solid device. The weight is a lot better than the 3ds xl for long gaming sessions and the fact that the device itself is not glossy finger print magnet helps as well. But there are some draw backs as well like the fact that I don't know how many impacts this thing would be able to take if you drop it or are rough with your devices. The screens also don't seem as vibrant as the 3ds xl screens do and the speakers are now located at the bottom of the device unlike the 3ds xl which are with the top screen. In conclusion if you don't care about 3d but want to play the great library of games that Nintendo has for there system then buy this 2ds xl you won't regret you purchase.

My daughters 3ds spine broke. This new 2ds does everything the 3ds does except the 3D which she never used anyway.

I purchased the 2DS-XL for my mom when her original DS broke. The big screen allows her to see the games a lot better. She is happy with it. I also purchased the 1-year ADH, just in case.

Not as sturdy feeling as the 3DS XL, but for 50 less and not having to deal with the 3D switch turning on all the time, the value is right. Get this over a 3DS, hands down.

this new 2DS nintendo came up with is a really big improvement from the original 2DS. i personaly am not a fan of the 3D visuals on the 3DS so im happy with this. it plasys all 3DS games and ds and has memory expansion capabilities and a c stick. I would have given it 5 stars but the only thing i didnt like was the cover where the games get inserted

Although the DS platform has been around for years it's still worth buying if you're looking for a handheld gaming fix. The game catalog is huge since it's backwards compatible going back to the original Nintendo DS. You'll have plenty of games to choose from.

Orange is my favorite color, but why pair it with white?? why not with Navy or something else? If Nintendo wanted to introduce orange accents, they could have made a better choice for the rest of the unit.

No offense Nintendo, but the camera is visible to the outside. That and the mini stylus is well difficult for me to hold. But other than that, keep up the good work.

I bought a pair of these 2DS XL and so far, my two kids enjoyed them. The casing is sturdy and the units have goid battery life and performant

Brought as gift for grandchild, so far she is happy with the product. She was already was familiar with the product and requested it.

I do like the modernization of the DS into something that's actually nice looking. But for anyone who owns a 3DS it's not a necessity

I gave this to my boyfriend for father's day. He plays it every night and we will sometimes play each other. It's been fun.

Just what my son wanted. Perfect size for smaller hands, great battery life, and plays 3ds games!

I LOVE my DS. The only thing is that the dirt so more noticeable with white color the vs. the dark.

I guarantee if you give this to your child they will be happy or Best Buy will refund you 125%.

The device is not to bulky and never really use the 3d option
