Best Buy is capable of better service for this.

First off, let me clarify that this poor review is not because of the product itself, but rather Best Buy's approach to selling this product, and I hope giving it a 1/5 review will grab their attention and see the opportunity of improvement they can take advantage of. I decided to order this eshop card online rather than in store because the product itself was not too substantive for me to warrant driving all the way to the store. I did not want to commute the entire route just for a measly card. And I'm sure other consumers with aficionados in efficiency can attest to how smart, or at least understandable, my choice was. But now let's get to the problem. When I decided to order the card online, Best Buy for some reason thought it was okay to go out of its way to mail the card, instead of just sending me a digital code for it via email like other retailers do. Target and Walmart has been doing this for a while now. Heck, I just found out that there is even a mom and pop store my friend goes to in my town that delivers eshop codes digitally rather than physically when ordering online. If these stores are able to do it, why is it that a store such as Best Buy, a retailer specializing in electronic products, have yet to be able to send eshop cards' codes electronically to consumers who order them online? Now, obviously it's not the end of the world. Of course I can deal with getting it in the mail, but this is not about my laziness. This is about you guys finding better ways to make your service better, and hence, the popular adage, "The customer is always right."

Do NOT buy this online....Horrible experience. And never received any compensation for the hours spent on the phone trying to get this activated and working. (unless you like making several phone calls and spending hours on the phone for no apparent reason) Not only was I on the phone with Best buy customer service trying to get this to work....I was told by them to contact Nintendo. Only to be told by Nintendo that it was not activated. And yes...I was typing in the code correctly and Nintendo confirmed this for me and told me it was Best buy who did not activate it ! So Best buy tried to blame it on everything else and would not own up to their own incompetence !! You know how they fixed this....refunded my money ?? And this apparently makes everything okay for wasting all my time and giving me the run around. !!! I even asked to speak to the manager and was told they were not there ?? How convenient for them.......once again !!!

I was happy that best buy had a discount for nintendo gift card. After entering the code, I checked my account and it had $50 and then I turn off my console. Next week later, I checked my account again, my account had $0 dollars and we threw our trash away. Of course, I was checking everywhere in the room for the gift card but no luck. I don't know what happen but it was disappointing that it was near the holidays and I couldn't purchase any of the discount games.

When I went to scratch it off, the whole code came with it making it unreadable and unusable. Bestbuy wouldn't do anything about it. I understand them not wanting to take returned gift cards. But I only wanted a exchange because mine was unusable. They acted like they didn't care that I was out $50 bucks. I'm very dissatisfied with bestbuy.

I got this card as a last second gift for a kid. The idea was order here late at night then pick up first thing. I'd done similar stuff in the past without issues. However, someone decided the best way to package the card was to slap a sticker right over the face of a card. So the kid who likes Yoshi didn't get to see his Yoshi.

I hate nintendos eshop because you cant transfer stuff, its slow and stuff is way over priced. I only bought this for christmas for a little kid because it was on sale. Otherwise Id never spend money on nintendo digital goods.

I bought 2 of these hoping to buy games online but like most game currency there's always something left over, or not enough to spend on what you want. Plus you can add money on the Nintendo store instead of buying a card

I miss when the Nintendo points were made in the Wii era, back then all cards had worth in North America. Now the ones made in the US don't work in Mexico. And viceversa. Wish Nintendo would allow to switch accounts.

I bought this card and scratched off the number on the back very lightly as instructed and could not read the numbers. When I tried to take it back they told me I couldn't return it even though it hasn't been used.

These cards had a problem entering them into the 3DS. The Nintendo website would not take the balance. Had to return to Bestbuy and got new cards and those didn't work either.

The Nintendo system was overloaded at Christmas was what we were told. A week later, the codes still wouldn't work. My son was then given new codes to use and to not use the cards at all.

Unable to use per the code came off when scratched, BB would not do anything about it and Nintendo didn't seem to care. I will not be buying another one of these cards in the future.

Couldn't redeem this card, total loss of $'s. My grandson loves eCards, but was very disappointed when this gift wouldn't redeem no matter how many times we tried.

I got this and it wasn't activated. I never heard back from customer support. I'm sure most people won't have this issue but just a heads up when buying gift cards.
