This is an egg hatcher and it's not a very good one because it disconnects after a few minutes of inactivity. The best egg hatcher is to set your phone to not fall asleep and leave the app open. As far as catching Pokemon goes, it's horrible. "Your Pokemon fled!" happens 1/2 the time. In the real world, I have a catch rate of 89%. The Go Plus should reflect that, but it does not. When it comes to Pokestops, you have to be RIGHT UP ON THEM to collect. In the app, you can be 40-50 feet away and spin the Pokestop, but with the Go Plus, you have to be within 10 feet of the Pokestop. And finally, there's a delay. Sometimes you'll pass the Pokestop and the Go Plus will buzz and let you know that it's out of range. (then you have to go back) Sometime I'll have to open the app just to see where the Pokestop is. The product is a failure, it's supposed to enhance the game experience, not degrade it.

I was hoping this would allow me to play Pokemon Go without having to keep my phone open. But it seems I have to keep the app open and running, I just no longer have to look at the screen. Even that would be okay but what drops my score is that it gets overwhelmed if there are multiple Pokemon on screen, or lots of pokestops.

it is not helpful for those who have been playing for a while, it only uses pokeballs, so even if you have ultra or great balls it won't use em, even if you run out of pokeballs. it is good to get items from the pokestop, but if the game is running in the background, it eventually disconnects

This should have been a great tool to help cut down on the grind of stockpiling Pokemon candies, but the amount of alerts you receive (combined with the inability to switch out stronger Pokeballs for rarer encounters) means you're better off just playing the game on your phone.

I have a very tumultuous opinion of the Go Plus. Given its functionality, I can't tell if it's meant for new players (who probably wouldn't spend 40 dollars on a wearable just for a game) or it's meant for us die hard Pokemon Go players, who can honestly do everything that the Plus does using the app itself. The Good: 1. Helps track distance more accurately meaning you will still hatch eggs and get more buddy candy even if you don't have the app open. 2. Saves battery life because you aren't constantly walking around with your phone's backlight on. 3. Great for discreetly spinning pokestops and catching pokemon when you can't have your phone out (e.g. at work) or when it's impractical to pull out your phone every 20 seconds such as when you're jogging or riding a bike. 4. Notification options are useful: you can set it to notify you of nearby pokemon, nearby pokestops, or none of the above. So if you are low on pokeballs or don't want it to vibrate everytime there's a pidgey around, you can set it to ignore pokemon and only alert you to stops. And if you don't want it going off at all, you can set it to ignore both and it will still track your distance for hatching eggs. The Bad: 1. Terrible for catching. It throws one normal pokeball with no catch modifiers (curveball, nice catch) and decides based on that throw whether the pokemon was caught or ran away. So basically, if it's ever locked onto a pokemon you actually want, you're better off catching it manually. Plus catches do automatically receive the 50 xp bonus for catching on your first throw, so you'll either get 150 xp for the catch or 25 xp for the flee. 2. Still subject to the speed limit imposed by Pokemon Go, so it doesn't allow you to play in the car. If you are going over a certain speed (I think ~25 mph) you sometimes can't spin stops as it will error out that it's too far away. Above 25 mph, pokemon also usually don't spawn. I've noticed that after about 10 seconds under 25 mph pokemon will start spawning and stops will be spinnable again. 3. By design it automatically disconnects after an hour, I guess that's meant to help save the Plus's battery if you leave it connected. 4. When Plus battery is low, it basically stops functioning entirely and has trouble tracking distance. So if you notice it disconnecting after catching a pokemon or a delay in it locking onto stops or Pokemon, you probably need to swap out the battery. The Ugly: 1. Plastic is pretty cheap. I've had mine a few months and it's heavily scratched. 2. Wristband it comes with is too small for most adults and sometimes too big for kids.

Never got it to work. Apparently with some androids you basically have to do a factory reset and ONLY install the Pokemon Go app. Returned.

    Before you go crazy...

Although the Go Plus is listed here as a pre-order, many trainers have purchased this item from other retailers. I had very high expectations and when I first got my Go Plus, it was great -- the best -- no complaints. Mons would pop up when I was driving on the freeway and I got every single item from every pokestop that came up. I understand that this game was made for walking/running, but in reality, its winter in most places now -- cold, wet, windy, raining or snowing. Not ideal for you, an electronic device, or your phone for that matter. Fast forward to today. My trainer level is getting higher (thank you Halloween Event) and the CP of the mons are getting higher. With the higher CP, the lower your chances of catching pokemon with a single Red Ball. You only have 1 chance -- 1 throw with 1 red ball. No option to use a Razz Berry, no option to use your Great or Ultra Balls. Essentially your catch rate will suffer and you'll find that you missed your chance to get that mon that you wanted. Kiss that Ditto goodbye. *side note, you will also not receive the extra curve, nice, great or excellent bonuses either. Niantic has also imposed safety thresholds on the pokemon and pokestops. The last I checked, being a passenger in a vehicle traveling over 25+ mph will yield your go plus useless. You'll get a 'Try Again Later' for the stops and the pokemon won't even bother showing up in your nearby. The only sliver of hope will be when the vehicle you're in slows down and makes a stop. Another pit of the go plus? If I'm connected to my phone too long, it won't see the pokemon or pokestops. I have to disconnect and reconnect to get it working again. This is probably a problem with the game itself where it sees you as being a robot or spoofer and you have to restart or captcha to get it working again. So do I regret buying the go plus? Is it worth it? Yes and no. If you don't mind disconnecting and reconnecting every now and then, and don't mind a low catch rate or missing pokestops, then by all means, best purchase everrrrrr! Just know that its not all that its hyped up to be and have realistic expectations... Oh! Also have a spare battery with you. If you go hard and grind, you'll need it. Sorry, this is such a negative nancy review, but in reading the other review posted here, I thought it was a bit misleading and written by some marketer for the product.

    Must Have for POGO Players

For Casuals or Hardcore Players Tracking: Now you can save your phone's battery by having this sweet little toy while jogging. Time: This can save time because you can set it to catch pokemon or spin pokestops. I personally set to spin pokestops when I'm at a lure so I can spin pokestops on Plus and catch pokemons on phone at the same time. Bypass: This will help you bypass the speed limit because now if you traveling too fast, there's a 10second cool down before you can see a pokemon or spin pokestop. But no more, as Go Plus has its own inner timer of 5 secs meaning before if you see a pokestop and you just stop at a red light you wont be able to spin but with PoGo Plus, you can!!! End Game: Now if you have completed your pokedex, this is just a easy way to get free candies and stardust when you're at work or at home watching a movie. No more hassle to taking out your phone, just click a button.
