Nintendo products are known to be sturdy. Game Boy cartridges getting dropped in the toilet, a chair leg through a system... they just won't die. This is true here as well. This is easily one of the best-constructed game controllers ever made. If you buy it, it'll survive multiple years unless you try to break it. This works with the Gamecube, earlier versions of the Wii, and (with a special USB adapter) Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. New Wii units (assuming they're still being made) and every other Wii U purpose so far don't work with this. So, if you're playing Gamecube games or Wii games that use the controller, you need this. Don't even bother with 3rd-party controllers, except for high-end specialty controllers. However, if you're not a Smash veteran, don't get this just for Smash Wii U. It takes getting used to and in the end has no superiority over the Wii U Pro Controller, except that it's wired. You'd be better off with one of those. Also if you don't already have an adapter, good luck finding one.

Excellent controller. Exactly like the original GameCube controller. I wanted this for my GameCube. Brand new and not used and Wii U compatible. What's not to like? I plan on buying a couple so I will have extras in hand. Stock up now so you don't have to get a second hand brand in the future.

It's great for the price, since getting an original GC controller can be quite pricey. The only downside are the triggers which don't have piece the original GC controllers have and can cause them to stick, which isn't fun. Other than that, it works well and feels great!

With the Wii U you have plethora of options on what you choose to play your games with. The GameCube controller is one the better choices if you're a veteran SSB player. Although it doesn't have the same feel to it as the original GameCube controller, it's does have a longer cord, which is nice in a world where wireless controllers allow us to play from just about anywhere we'd like.

I bought this controller as a secondary to the GC controller I got with the SSB4 limited edition so I know own two of these controllers and they are very satisfying. I would only get these if all you do is play SSB4, not many uses past that.

The GameCube controller is gaming bliss. I am so glad it has been reintroduced for the purpose of Super Smash Bros for Wii U but that is also why I'm a bit disappointed. It only works for this 1 game which seems like a hefty investment.

I've always loved the Gamecube controller for Smash Bros. And this controller is the same good old cable, but better. It has an even longer cable than previous Gamecube controllers. Plus the Smash logo on it makes it that much cooler!

The remote is excellent. Quality is what this store promotes and that is EXACTLY what I get whenever I buy here. This remote is just another example of that!

The Cube controller we all know and love returns with the game that made it necessary. This time it packs a longer cord keeping you smashing your friends instead of the console accidentally on the floor.

This controller is a must if you can get your hands on the adapter for the Wii U and want to play Super Smash Bros.

I bought this controller for my nephew and every kid and adult gamer in the room had to play with it. 12 out of 12 people said this is the best controller they have used and they will be buying one.

currently this controller only works when playing smash brothers, so naturally I bought 4 because it's the only controller to use for smash brothers, no other controller is good enough.

Whether you're playing Smash or hooking it up to your PC and Dolphin, the controller is solid, feels like the originals, and the cable length is important when having Smash parties.

This is a great controller for smash bros. It's exactly the same as the game cube controller and makes the game much more enjoyable. Also it has a really long cord, which is great.

The difference between this controller and the original is the new one has a longer cord. I have four of these and anyone I play with rather use this than any other controller.

They should have never stopped making these controllers. Cord is slightly longer than a standard GC controller. Definitely worth it for smash if you got your hands on a GC adapter.

Best controller to use for super smash brothers on wii u. The quality is by far one of the best of any controller ever made.

My fiancé wanted super smash bros because he has always liked that game, and he had to have the Game cube controller to take him back to the good ol' days, He loves it.

If you have ever played a GameCube then you're very familiar with this product. It works the same as the old one and feels like solid materials for controllers. The only downside if finding the adapter for the Wii U.

This controller is awesome, but its a shame that it would appear Nintendo is no longer making the controller. Here's to hoping that maybe they'll make more in the new year.
