I bought four of these at $30 a pop for my 2 kids for Christmas, along with Super Smash Bros for Wii U. I rated them three stars just because I was required to give some kind of star rating in order to submit this review -- but the truth is we haven't taken the remotes out of their boxes. They are useless without the Nintendo GameCube controller adapter, which is unavailable and sold out anywhere and everywhere. If Nintendo doesn't make more adapters available soon, I will just have to take the remotes back to Best Buy and make a $120 return. What a waste of money at Christmas time, when I certainly could have used that $120 toward gifts that would actually deliver some usefulness and happiness to the recipient.

This is a durable controller. Its design has stuck with the franchise since its launch with the GCN. Any Smash player should have a GCN controller.

This controller design was one of the best ever. Glad that Nintendo brought this piece back. Many hours of melee has since been consumed.

My old purple controller I've had for the better end of a decade started to die. I got this as a replacement and couldn't be happier.

It's the best control in history, very comfortable & the other thing I liked is that the wire is longer than the ones before.

The controller works fine. I needed this controller with a cord for tournaments. You can't use wireless controllers at tournaments.

Classic gamecube controller for play with wii u. Only bad thing is finding an adapter for the controller to hook up to wii u.

The game cube controller is weird. It's awkward. It's a great re-release for the Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Most controllers nowadays are extremely similar. A small change in the button or d-pad is all you'll see differentiating controllers. This will appeal to all of the nostalgic gamers from the time of the Nintendo Gamecube.

I'm happy they are making and selling these again. It's hard to find new GameCube controllers at a reasonable price.

This is exactly the same as the original GameCube controllers, and is perfectly designed to play Super Smash Bros.

I purchased this item for a very specific need; as a replacement for my N64! With the use of an adaptor I puchased on the internet, this controller works like a dream with my N64. The controller is well built and functions just as one would expect from a first party product. Highly recommended!

This remote is better then the original great for company fun. Mario smash brothers works well with this

This controller and it's hub are almost necessity if you're going to play through all that smash has to offer.

Although I had original older controllers, purchasing the set was the only way to get the adapter. And the adapter was needed to play the game. Wish the company made the adapters more plentiful.

To the good old days! I love this controller especially for games like Super Smash. I hope they add support for other games in the future but this purchase was worth it for me alone just with Super Smash Brothers. I would recommend this for anyone even if you were not part of the gamecube generation,

Fun to play with while playing my favorite game. A constant reminder every time I look at my controller.
