I got this because it was a better deal than the individual. I had a bit of an issue redeeming it since I had a month left in my individual membership. It didn't tack on to the end of my individual membership so I "lost" a month (It upgraded me to a Family Membership the day I redeemed it). They are supposed to refund you the prorated amount, but that is only if you get it from Nintendo. So I recommend that you wait until close to the end of your membership to redeem. Though Nintendo Customer Service was able to add back that month without any noticeable issues.

I say it’s good cause I get to have the family in my plan so they won’t have to buy separate memberships

I buy this yearly. My kids and their family and friends all connect with each other using the online feature. It's been great especially since the pandemic. Much cheaper buying a full year vs. monthly.

Awesome price for this product. Its not like when I was a kid and you played solo or with 1 other person. Kids have to go online for everything now a days because that is where their social life exist.

Getting the Nintendo online may seem like an unnecessary expense but you get so much for your money. The classic Nintendo games are worth their weight in gold. Happy to renew each year!

Fast and easy set up for family members. Just adding a couple of family members and you save a lot. A must have for online play.

This is the online membership. It's necessary because it enables you to play old Nintendo games from the NES and Super NES. They haven't uploaded any N64 or GameCube games but that will likely happen in the future.

So far I've enjoyed playing online with my Girlfriend & the old Nintendo & Super Nintendo games available make it a good deal. I wish they would add more games to the inventory though.

I buy this every year for my family and friends. A steal if you have 8 members in your account. I can’t see myself buying the overpriced “expanded” version.

We love tbe family yearly membership. It is such an affordable price.

Doesn't really provide much when compared to what the competition offers. Even at this lower price point, Nintendo's online infrastructure is severely lacking in comparison. But with the new "Expansion Pass" being announced, this is definitely a MUCH better value than that overpriced mess.

Way better price for family plan, as everyone in my family plans to have their own switch by end of May. better deal then ps plus or xbox one online plan. WIll keep this before other two if I can only pay for one

Was able to get this for myself, my two nephews and my friend so we can play online. Make sense to buy the family pack and share rather than 20$ per person

Really enjoy the online aspects of the Switch. It is great for exploring older games I grew up playing.

If you grew up playing the classic Nintendo games or would like to see how us “ older” people use to play Nintendo, definitely invest in Nintendo online. Has so many classic games to keep you entertained.

A necessity to truly enjoy the switch. Gives access to the basic classic library.

It seemed like a great idea at the time. We were told that any downloaded copies of games would be able to be played by all three of the switch owners in the home. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way they can only be played on the account holders switch or whoever has the parents account on their handheld device. Needless to say our kids were disappointed as it didn’t work the way the sales person said it would. The plus side is that has dozens of games available.
