This is an official Nintendo product, and I say that because you can get less expensive controllers, however the quality is not the same. This controller will work on the Wii or Wii U, and has MotionPlus built in which is needed for some of the newer games.

The Junior High School summer campers love the game room, so we purchased a couple of WII games and the extra remotes. Now several kids can challenge each other, they have their own remote while in play, and it alleviates the fights over the remotes.

Just picked up Mario Party 10 and needed some extra wii controllers and I saw this Luigi one so I figured why not. It works great and I like that they made several different Mario characters. Definitely going to get the ones to for with my Wii U.

This is exactly the type of peripheral you'd expect from Nintendo. Perfectly made, nice to look at, and essential for anyone with a Wii U. Granted, these Wii-Motes are a tad pricey, but it's true what they say. You really do get what you pay for.

I have had knock of remotes in the past and never really understood the difference. The responsiveness of this remote is far better than that of the knock offs. And you do not have to buy an additional component to make it work with the WII U

This control, is probably one of the easiest to use on the market. It's not clunky like XBOX/Playstation controls and can act even more adaptive with it's plugin features. Truly an original Nintendo control coming back form the original NES.

Yes, the wii remote controllers are relatively expensive, but don't buy a cheap third party wii remote that sucks your batteries quickly, have lousy sounding speakers, and tend to break. Go for the real thing, and it'll last you for years!

Who is always Mario? First player. Big brother. Big sister. The controller is also red. So if you like to be first and love the color red why not get this controller? Also if you lose it in the couch it sticks out like a sore thumb. Haha.

I love this Wiimote. The controller is a perfect way for a girly gamer to set herself apart from the boys. Also, when playing games like Mario Party or Mario Kart., having a controller that matches the character played is an easy way to clear up any confusion as to who is playing which character at the party. All in all, great Wiimote, works fantastically, and I am looking forward to getting the matching "Gamecube" controller for it as well!

This is a nice controller I find it to be lighter than the original wii controller. Find that funny considering it has wii motion plus inside of it. Love the blue option as well, only wish that there was a matching blue nunchuck for it.

This control is great. The fact that the wii motion plus is part of the control itself avoids having to connect and adapter like previously needed. The Mario Logo is a classic. Looking to collect the rest of the customized controls.

I bought this as a replacement for my original Wii motes. This is a nice update (and includes the rubber case and batteries). The built-in motion-plus is good to have, instead of the attachment that was needed for the originals.

Nintendo first party products are built to last the test of kids. I'm glad they put the Motion Plus inside, since the add-on added much length to the product and made it hard for my kids to handle with it on. No longer a problem.

My daughter loves all the fancy colors especially when they come in a Nintendo controller. This controller works the same as the regular Nintendo control it came with except this one has just a little more color added to it.

This wiimote works great with the Wii U! I purchased this at the same time as the Wii U and has worked great ever since! I think I've only had to change the batteries once in its two year life so far!

Purchased for my nephew who was very pleased to receive. From what I am told the piece works well and he is quite happy with it.
