So much fun to have smash bros or Mario kart battles!

My kids love this. All of them have been playing it.

I got this for my son for Christmas. He wasn't too interested in it before but I bought I'd give it a shot. He's always wants to play while I'm watching tv. I decided to try and play on it one night while the tv was being used and was amazed that it actually worked! It wasn't even plugged into the tv. Love this feature!!!

I purchased this past summer, yes I know that the NX was on the horizon (now called Ninteno switch). However, I wanted to play the Super Mario, Mario Mart series with my little girl. We have also played Pikman 3, Yoshi Wolly World, Lego Star War Force Awakens, Wii Sports Club and Snoopy Adventure games. We have also purchased Splatoon, Lego Jurassic World and a few other titles but have yet to explore those. As always, Nintendo provides a safe gaming environment for the younger generations to get familiar with and their feet wet. Ninetendo's Wii U got a very bad rap from horrible marketing, it is by far one of the BEST multi-player in same room experience that you could have on any console.

User friendly and fun in a group setting! Classic.

I've always wanted to get a wiiU because I grew up with Nintendo. Only thing is the wiiU requires a lot of controls for different games aside from the wiiU game pad. Which could run you up to a grand, including the wiiU system. The other controls: pro controller, GameCube controller's, wii controller's, and wiiU sports accessories aren't required though some are recommended. Overall it's a good system for the family

Graphics may not compete with Xbox nor PS4. However, the games are great during social events. Who doesn't love rounds of Mario Cart?

Always wanted a wii u ever since mario maker .....

Nintendo will be coming out with the NX console very soon. They have given up on this platform. The games look great but the system never quite caught on......Might want to hold off and see when NX gets announced before you end up with a console good for a dozen games or so......

This starter pack- wii u with mariokart 8 - is a great bundle- however i didnt know that the counsel must be within reach of The wii u game pad- i expected my son could use the game pad as a hand held device- out and about- however this is not the case- that and the wii is not compatable with dvd's- Other than that the system itself is well worth it! I love that it has the full functionality/ compatible with the regular wii system- plus nintendo does a great job at providing great family Friendly game selections

The system doesn't take long to setup and begin to play. There are several updates that take some time but not more than about 20 minutes. There are good parental settings that will prevent kids from just turning it on and playing for hours. Netflix app and Youtube app also are great in HD as opposed to the old Wii.
