We had the original wii and it was time for an upgrade. We checked all the units o the market, and since my daughters aren't into the shoot-them-up type games, we went with the new wii. LOVE it. My daughter can even play games o the control pad while we watch tv. very cool

I highly suggest getting this if you have 4 or 5 people to play games with in the same room as it is highly fun to play games with that amount of people on this console

We bought this for my 5-year-old son and he loves Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, as well as the classic NES and SNES games on the virtual console. The only issues are transferring your purchased games from your old Wii, which is a frustrating and complicated process. Also, software title support is not nearly as deep as the big two Playstation and XBox.

Wonderful Hyrbid System. Much better than WII. Wii U has great graphics and resolution. More adult feel and smoother interface. Maintains Nintendo legacy and theme. Its a Wii, Wii U and portable system in one! If you can find one with Mario Kart for 250 its a must buy.

Bought this for my 8 year old. She was skeptical of playing because she was so used to the regular WII but after the first day I can't keep her off of it. Loves that can actually lay in bed or the couch and play the handheld version on lazy days. Highly recommended!

This was a Christmas gift for my 5 year old. I love it, he loves it and his father loves it. Great for families with small children. I believe you can use regular wii games but I haven't tried that yet. I'm very glad I bought this, I even use it for my girls night.

My kids love their new wii u system and so do i, they all have their own controllers but they fight over the big controller from time to time and they really enjoy the just dance great system to invest in.

Only decent games for this system are Nintendo. Really enjoyed Mario Card and Yoshi's Wolly World.

I like that it is backwords compatible and that I don't have to buy all new controllers, however when playing old WII games the new controllers (not the stick ones) will not work, also many games do not allow you to play with the big controller on multiplayer.

My daughter who three years old loves this game. It was not hard for her to learn how to play.

I finally bought a Wii U since a few games I want to play are finally coming out. I just bought Xenoblade Chronicle X and plan on getting the Zelda games. It's a unique machine that does some cool things. It can't compete with Sony or Microsoft. It doesn't have the power and there is little 3rd party support. I would recommend it if you are fan of Nintendo games. It's just a more niche console with very specific games.

My kids love playing with the wiiu. Favorite games are Mario kart and super Mario 3D world

We were on the fence between a Wii U and a Playstation 4 for our 4 year old son but seeing all the classic games that come with the Wii U and all the interactive ones we had to go with the Wii. Our son loves it and shows great driving skills Mario style.

The WII U is exactly what my kids wanted. They personally lime the ability to play on the TV together, or by them selves on the remote. Great job Nintendo!

Great product for kids, easier game system for little kids to play. Nice famile game system.

I've owned every Nintendo console and this fits right there with all of them. It's a nice break from my PS4 as the games are inherently light hearted. It doesn't feel like an incredible leap from the Wii but whatever, I knew what I was getting into.

For a gaming console that isn't compared to the Xbox one and ps4 I wasn't expecting such an amazing gaming experience. I like that you don't have to pay for a membership to play online and the graphics and the feel is great. The Wii U surprised me.

My family and I really enjoy playing this system, and for me, having access to the older NES and SNES titles is pretty cool. Obviously, it's not as powerful as the XB1 or PS4, but it's just fun to play. Last time I checked, that's all that matters.

Love this system. Games are great. Bought additional console and other accessories. If you play on a great tv the visuals are so clear and unbelievable
