Was looking for a new game for my son after he completed Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Wanted to find something similar towards difficulty and challenges. He says it's even better than Sekiro. Highly recommend. Friends can actually temporarily play in two player mode when defeating bosses.

I know a lot of people didn’t really like this second part of Nioh but I decided to try it since I enjoyed the first one and this was at a really good price in Best Buy. We have been playing it for a couple of days and we are really enjoying it. I think it’s just as enjoyable as the first part. If you liked Nioh you will totally enjoy this second part.

It definitely takes time to get used to but once you get the basics down, the game really starts to shine. Very challenging though, if you're the type to give up after a few deaths, this isn't for you. Graphics are ok, story is decent, combat and gameplay are on point!

Was greatly anticipating this sequel to one of my favorite games. This takes all the best mechanics of Nioh and turns them up a notch. The gameplay is engrossing and as challenging as the first installment. Anyone who likes Souls-style games I would recommend this to.

This video game is awesome and fun, the graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is smooth. I could spend hours exploring the world and completing different quests. The characters and story are also really engaging, making me want to keep playing. Overall, it's a fantastic gaming experience.

Solid Game But Feels More Like An Expansion

This has to be one of if not the better looking PS4 game made and there were some really good ones like GoW, Horizon, Bloodbourne. Nioh 2 though feels more like an expansion of Nioh but that's not a criticism. It even better at a $10 price.

Nioh 2 is a balanced and beautiful game. It will certainly frustrate you to the point where you will want to walk away, but that first victory over a big bad demon will ignite a thirst in you to continue your difficult journey through ancient Japan. Good sequel to one of the better games of the PS4 era!

Nioh definitely is the one game to give the souls franchise a run for their money after so many other clones have tried to. Awesome gameplay and quite challenging.

I never played the first one, but i always wanted to play the second. I got it while on sale and it is one of the best $20 ive spent. Great art style, music, and gameplay. It is hard, but ive played all the soulsborn games and this wasn't that more difficult. Overall i would say buy it!

Great game. The environment is excellent and the so is the game play and graphics. It is hard to master, but still fun if you're playing the Nioh franchise for the first time.

Do you like dark souls? Do you like ninja garden? Do you like nioh 1? If you answered yes to any of those then go ahead and buy this. Great combat, ok levels, pretty good graphics. A 4K update is coming for free if you play it on ps5

A huge improvement from the first Nioh

Firstly this game addresses a lot of issues I had from the first game which makes it a lot more enjoyable. Some like adding optional tools for those who find the game lonely and want a partner even if it comes at a sacrifice of making Revenant (red sword challenged) battles extremely easy which are also optional. The game's atmosphere feels more interesting and I actually find myself more interested in the characters this time around. Some of my favourite changes where; -The Yokai realm that makes revenant battles very challenging, yokai gain new moves and slow down ki regeneration thus makes battling them very challenging and fun. -Better level design, music, ambience, voice acting, etc. -Character creation which explains itself but its a wonderful addition specially when Nioh's main character never truly expressed much feelings so never truly cared about him. There were some changes I find to be nuisance like more skills on top of the already very deep combat system. I still don't use the yokai skills as they feel clunky and seem to get killed more than anything. The yokai shift is more of a clutch that can get you killed if you dont pay close attention. Overall I found them interesting but for me I didnt see much use for them except for clutch situations. Same with the AI aid that could easily lure more enemies thus meeting your death. MY biggest issues with Nioh 2 are really more of the same with the first game that overtime it just doesnt hold up very well but it doesnt mean its bad. However, the grinding portion was made fairly easier without it being a hassle like the first game Overall I find the game more of a HUGE improvement from the first one without making it too easy nor unfair and cheap. There is some moments when it could feel like that but so far its very rare. I usually dont ever do reviews because I am bad at it but I really believe this game is definitely worth your time. It doesnt try to be something its not and doesnt exactly feel like Nioh 1.5. Its feels like a true sequel and a very good one and I really recommend
