This is a fun game with a cool story line. There's a decent amount of content and very cool mechanics with a good lineup of DLC and additional content. The first run through of the game takes 20-50 hours depending on your pace. It is difficult and challenging. A NG+ mode is also included which changes the game from difficult to Diablo-like farming.

Listenn short and sweet basically a Dark Souls clone in a feudal japan setting with demons and magic. Now it has grat gameplay combat. And story with an easier learning curve and a deeper crafting system. Great Game with replay value in new game plus.

The graphics of this game is really good and the story line is interesting. Kinda reminds me of Onimusha like other people said which is a good thing because that game is good as well. Got this at a good deal so that made it extra fun.

Everyone is thinking it and I'm sure almost every review is going to make this comparison, but this game falls down the line of challenging ARPGs similar to Dark Souls. It has satisfying combat and a pretty demanding learning curve. In contrast to the medieval gothic theme we get with Dark Souls though, instead we have a Japanese-centered samurai warlord era theme. Honestly, just the theme itself is alluring. Now as for the gameplay itself. This game is hard. Is it harder than Dark Souls? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. But it is a challenge, and that could be a turnoff to some people. It is a rewarding experience though and I think it's worth the learning investment. This game is also meaty. Doing everything in the game will take you 80-100 hours. So at the current price, it is well worth its value.

Yes it is very similar to Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Its basically a samurai version of it and its fantastic! A lot of variations to those other games that makes this one truly unique. But if you enjoyed those, you must play this one too!

Nioh is awesome! The combat feels great and there's tons of depth regarding play-styles and builds. Only con I can think of is not enough varied enemies and levels aren't very inspired. If you're a fan of dark souls you will enjoy this.

Nioh is a great game! The Graphics, music and game play are all amazing. Some of the levels are a little repetitive, but it's fun enough that it isn't a big issue. You need online access to finish, some of the boss battles are too difficult alone,

This game reminds me the old school Onimusha for play station 2. The controller plays like dark souls. Must have a great game.

2nd try with this game, and it's still pretty hard to play. Hope to did into it more during the winter. Good game either way.

This is a very hard game. I knew this when I bought this game. I was prepared for that I might give up in the very first mission. I did die a lot in the first mission, but I didn't give up, now I'm already half way thru. This game really has a lot to offer, if you are willing to keep playing. It's also very addictive at this point. I would say if you are the type of person that doesn't easily give up, you should definitely give it a try, but if you are just a casual gamer...hmm think twice. Talking about bosses in this game, there are some "road blockers", which means you are going to encounter some really challenging bosses early in this game. The difficulty of boss fights doesn't necessarily increase as you go deeper into this game. For example, per PS4 trophy statistics, almost 1/3 of people couldn't beat the 3rd boss...

If you’re a fan of the dark souls series then this game is for you.

Very challenging game to say the least. It's very punishing like Dark Souls with the fast paced action of Ninja Gaiden. However, despite its difficulty, it provides a smooth gameplay and rewards the player with overcoming any challenges.
