Samurai dark souls. ....game play is great...battles felt differant and new everytime.

What can I say Its a lot like Dark Souls as gameplay and Difficulty but super fun being Samurai. Love the different weapons and exploring aspect of the game. Highly recommend.

This is a great, tough action game. In the vein of the Souls games but with a different aesthetic. Definitely worth playing through to test your might.

If you like the Dark Souls series and like Samurai type games then this game is for you! It gets frustrating but thats the whole point of this type of games .. you just have to "git gud"!

A challenging yet fun game that takes a little time to learn the combat mechanics but once learned, progress picks up. Graphics are decent–I really love the period in which this is set and the games supernatural elements are neat. This is one of those games that for casual gamers will be a bit of a slog but provide many hours of entertainment and challenging gameplay. One of my favorite PS4 titles and up there with the likes of Bloodborne in terms of challenge and similarity Souls-like gameplay…although different enough to be somewhat unique

Glad I made this purchase. This game is well made and it reminds me of bloodborne.

As someone who's beaten every Soulsborne game, the similarities are obvious. If you enjoyed those games but wanted just a bit more depth in the moment to moment gameplay or a changeup to the standard Medieval Fantasy the Souls games use, Nioh is right up your alley.

It has great combat, multiple weapons, unique enemys, and all of it together leads to a great experience in getting cut down.

Wow! This game is brutally difficult but so engaging. Making it through a section of the game is such a relief and feels rewarding. The longer you play the more you will love it.

Do your research and know this is very similar to a souls game. For some reason I did not realize I would be unable to save the game rather at times forced to repeat entire levels if I died before finding a shortcut. The game itself is beautiful but frustrating.

Sorta like Onimusha meets Dark Souls meets Ninja Gaiden, Nioh provides engrossing combat and a captivating setting. Overall, while not the most original game, it's a very fun one.

This game is a bit of a mix between Dark Souls, Ninja Gaiden, Diablo, and that old-school PS2 game, Bushido Blade. I really am enjoying my playthrough of the game. It requires care patience and a bit of highly technical thinking. You need to approach each encounter/battle with a plan in mind and always be wary of your surroundings. Sometimes you will be facing multiple enemies, enemies while worrying about traps, sometimes fighting while dealing with archers or riflemen, or even dudes chucking gunpowder-filled ceramic balls. I highly recommend this game if you enjoy a moderate to high challenge and constantly upgrading loot.

This game has a great combat system. It's as challenging as the Souls games and feels just as rewarding when you learn the stances, learn to master your ki, and beat the bosses

Great game! Graphics and story are really good. The boss battles are epic. I bought a PS4 during the holidays so I could play this game. You will not be dissapointed.

This game is exactly what you have heard. Dark Souls. It looks and plays amazing. I actually found it a slightly harder than the souls game. It can be very unforgiving if you aren't careful. The Souls games are great but not as hard as people say. This game made me actually try harder and that makes it great. The story might seem strange but it's actually based on real world events so a blonde samurai did exist. Look it up. The controls are tight which is the most important thing for a game like this. If you are souls fan, then this is the game for you. If you aren't, stay away or be patient. You have a lot to learn.

I can tell the game likes to take influence from Dark Souls. While the gameplay is really good the difficulty can be offputting at times. Overall this is a great game I would recommend anyone to buy though and is worth it at the gamers club price point.

Tons of fun and challenge, plus a great medieval Japan aesthetic to boot!

I started this game hoping to enter a magical wonderland of rainbows and samurai, however I was met with grit and demons... and some samurai and ninjas too. I have been met with a brand new world of war and honor. I am sucked in and love it! This game has a ton of content even without the season pass, but I look forward to that as well. The story is amazing, enemies are great, and the color and sound is astonishing. I HIGHLY recommend this game for anyone who likes story oriented games. You'll have a blast and love the loot system too for the armor and weapons. Overall I give this game a AWESOMENESS! out of AMAZING!

If you enjoy Dark Souls and want to switch things up a bit, pick this up. I heard a lot about it and got it on sale. Definitely worth it if you enjoy a challenge.
