nioh is a dark soul type of game very hard to play but if you put time you will get better at it, solid gameplay fun and good story ps4 exclusive is a great title

This game is a blast especially when playing with friends. My only complaint is that the game is difficult and not ideal for a person with limited time for games. If this is your style of game, don't hesitate.

Just as hard as dark souls, but has a much easier to understand story and the japan setting is better than medieval.

Ni Oh is an action rpg from team ninja the creators of the ninja gaiden series. Its like a mixture of ninja gaiden and dark souls set in a gorgeous feudal Japan. Combat is the star of this game with a wide variety of moves and magical power ups. Enemy design is fantastic and the environments are varied and gorgeous. The game is fast paced but strategic and each new level brings new challenges. I'm about half way through the game and I couldn't recommend it more! This is one of the best games I've played in a long time.

If you've heard of Nioh it's probably because someone was comparing it to Dark Souls. It plays very similarly to a Souls game yet adds its own original mechanics and features to make it fresh. So you're a fan of that series, Nioh is a must play. The combat gets intense, and the bosses are probably the most difficult I've ever fought. My favorite part of this game is the Japanese folklore it surrounds. It's fresh seeing creatures you aren't very familiar with. Honestly, Nioh is one of the best games of 2017.

This game is amazing it's alot like dark souls but to me it's alot harder. If your up for a challenging game this won't let you down.

Nioh could not escape the dark souls comparisons. And in fairness there are definitely some similarities. But the combat is a whole different beast. Definitely reminded me of more of an action game like ninja gaiden with a bit of the patient combat of dark souls. As a souls veteran it took me a long time to wrap my head around this new style of combat fully but it is really impressive once you get powerful and really get a feel for the gameplay. It's also quite a long game so you're sure to get your money's worth

Nioh is an immensely layered experience. Through its Dark Souls-inspired combat, you're taught the virtues of patience and the value of defense. With each death, you learn a bit more about yourself and your enemy. This Team Ninja production, set during a time of great social upheaval in Japan, demonstrates the studio's penchant for demanding action-driven gameplay that rewards tactics and high dexterity. And despite all the inevitable dying, Nioh is surprisingly rich with solutions to overcome its many hurdles.

After a long hiatus, Team Ninja is back with the spiritual successor of Ninja Gaiden, fused with a number of mechanics and design choices familiar to fans of Dark Souls. Nioh is a great new franchise and way to experience these style of games, with its own unique take of magic, skills, loot (similar to borderlands or diablo) and more. If you're a fan of Dark Souls then this is a definite must-try game. If you haven't played Dark Souls or Bloodborne yet then grab one of those cheap first and give it a try

Great graphics with incredible history, if you want to be busy for long time, this is your game.

If you liked the souls games and bloodbourne then you're gonna enjoy this game. It's a challenging game to say the least.

Almost fills the "souls" itch. Combat is highly gear dependant, so first few bosses are unnecessary hard whial last few are almost to easy. But overall the game was fun.

My husband loved playing this game. He said it was really difficult but that the game play and story were wonderful.

For folks who love Souls/Borne games then this is definitely for you. For those of you who abhor those titles, you have been warned...stay away. Stamina is Ki in more ways than one. Nioh unabashedly takes from the recipe that has made the Souls games so popular and it does it with aplomb. Camera may be finicky in enclosed spaces, and it may lack the visual panache of a Souls game but Nioh delivers where it counts with its solid gameplay and loot driven way of specing out your character.

This game is certainly great in many senses, but it is also very frustrating. I'll admit that i raged plenty of times and stopped playing for a while before i picked it up again. In the end however, i think there is more to love than hate about it so i would definitely recommend playing it.
