After playing the demo had to get the full game. Great lore if you into Japanese myths. Like dark soul but Japanese style

great game. If you like dark souls then you will love this. I think it has a better setting and structure then dark souls.

This game has an interesting story that anyone interested in Japanese lore and history would like. Gameplay is similar to a souls/borne game, which makes it challenging.

If you like Dark Souls series, you will love this game. This game is just a bit easier and speedier than Dark Souls.

Not much can be said that has not already. This game is phenomenal. Easily could have been GOTY if it had a broader audience. From the start it reminded me of Soulborne meets Onimusha. So much depth and folklore, as well as fantastic art direction, with probably one of, if not the best combat systems hands down. It is not for the faint of heart, the game challenges you, but as with Bloodborne, it is very rewarding. A must have in you game collection!

The aesthetic and feel of Capcom's Onimusha, the level design and challenge of From Software's Souls games, and the fast-pace of Team Ninja's own Ninja Garden. If that sounds good I'd challenge you to NOT enjoy Nioh. It's a throwback in its simplicity, in many ways, harkening back to the simple pleasures of, maybe, Playstation 2-era games, while infusing the charm with modern conventions. Great art direction, lots of fun to play (and lots TO play), a new IP. Buy this game!

Got about 20+ hours in this game so far. Really enjoy the difficulty and combat. To be honest, it's not as hard as any dark souls game, but the combat in this game is where it shines! Switching stances in combat, etc...really makes the combat feel refreshing compared to games like dark souls / bloodborne where combat feels sluggish at times. If i had to say what this game reminds me of...imagine dark souls + ninja gaiden + monster hunter (with a little bit of Onimusha)!

Great game kind of hard to play but it’s worth it!

If you are a fan of the Souls-Bourne series of games from the developer Fromsoft, you will enjoy this game. It is not from this developer, however it does follow trends and provide a similar experience to these games with a few significant changes. Random loot, linear level design, and skill building talent trees, all lend to this game charm. Numerous hours of gameplay are to be had with this challenging, but enjoyable game.

I'm very early into this but it reminds me of one of my favorite games of all time, Bloodbourne. Of course this involves the Samurai and Japanese folklore, which isn't a bad thing. Game play is as tight as Bloodbourne and the graphics are even better. So if you're into any of the SoulsBourne games and another tough challenge, give it a poke.

With the PS5 around the corner, now is actually the best time to try classics like this for next to nothing. If you haven’t played Nioh, know that it’s very hard and at times overwhelming and frustrating. But it’s one of the best games of its generation once you get the hang of it. Very deep combat system and endless customization for your character. Must play

The gameplay is almost exactly like the Dark Souls series, but with less enemy variety.

It plays like the "Souls" games but the story and atmosphere are way better. One of the best PS4 exclusives.

Nioh is a very difficult and rewarding experience. Anyone who has played Dark Souls will feel right at home with Nioh. Every enemy is a epic battle and around every corner is a trap to cut your adventure short. Where Dark Souls stops Nioh keeps going, however. There are special moves to learn and 5 weapon classes with 3 different stances. Each and every one of them feels different. So if you enjoy a challenge and fun combat definitely give a Nioh a try.

I’ve played through all the soulsborne games including sekiro and was looking for my next challenge. This game doesn’t disappoint. The difficulty is up there with dark souls but it’s more action similar to bloodborne. It takes a bit to master the stances and multitude of weapon choices. The rpg aspect is much more in depth than other games in its class. Overall great game!

This game is tough but fair, the combat is awesome. Story is great. A must buy.

I recommend this game for the gameplay and the story and to get ready for the sequel
