It's ok game fun at times for action game good action

Bought Nioh to prepare myself for Elden Ring and I’ve fallen in love. The aesthetic is very cool, and the difficulty curve is a breath of fresh air/exquisite challenge for the mind. Give it a try if you’re up for the challenge!

Equal parts Ninja Gaiden, Onimusha, and Dark Souls, Nioh is a challenging PS4-exclusive adventure game. Features a stamina-based, option-laden combat system. Somewhat light on story, but fascinating art design on its more supernatural elements. Graphics settings can be customized for more detail or higher frame rate. 80+ hours and still finding new challenges.

This game is a cool take on the kind of hardcore third person action games that are popular right now. The Japanese setting is a lot of fun to explore, and the demons are cool to fight. The stances keep you moving and make sure that you change up your fighting style for the different kinds of enemies. Lots of fun.

if you like tough challenging games like dark souls get it

I bought this on sale for 10 bucks during E3 events. I'm excite and like this RPG game. One problem for my PS4 have 500 GB hard drive need to upgrade to 2 TB Western Digital Blue laptop hard drive. Still wait on Bestbuy when go on sale then I will buy to upgrade my PS4 hard drive to 2 TB to store more PS4 games.

It's hard game but that's what makes it fun. You can seen help from online players. The characters are all from historical accounts, just not the supernatural stuff. For the stage progression, you have to treat each enemy like a stage boss if you want to survive, because you never know what's around the corner. Tread lightly. Don't rush.

Recently bought a PS4 and decided to pick this up at a great $10 really fun challenging game

Great game but difficult. Very sim to bloodbourne or dark souls.

Let me begin by saying this game is challenging. Walk away if you hated games like "Dark Souls" or "Ninja Gaiden" because they took too much time to master. That warning aside, if you enjoy Japanese RPG elements, with a dose of Japanese difficulty, this game if for you. Combat requires you to adjust your play style to save stamina to block or use your weapon. Unlike the movies, swinging your weapon is tiring and you need to give yourself some time to recover.

For those who played the Nioh demo, you know this game is going to be good. And the full version does not disappoint. For those who remember Tenchu, this game feels like that but with everything faster and better. Tecmo Koei rebounded with this game and it is fun as heck. The game gets hard but its one of those situations where you don't mind dying.

As someone who likes a challenge this game feels a bit unfair at times. And I’ve beat every souls game out there. Overall though still worth a purchase.

With a vast array of options to build your character, technical options to improve performance(on PS4 and PS4 Pro) Nioh adds so much to the "Souls-like" formula that make it stand above others of it's kind. Can be incredibly difficult, but when you learn the mechanics, it is a very rewarding feeling when overcoming the challenges you face.

Its action is bit faster than Dark Souls series. What makes difference is skills of each weapons. You can have crazy actions when you learn skills in the end of the game. Good thing that there is new game + so you can now use your high rank skills on difficult enemies. What I like is that it also display Japanese Yokai very well. There are good explanations of each type of Yokais which is fun to read. The part bothers me is farming. It takes long time to forge good items.

This game is for any fan of dark souls or ninja gaiden. It does not play as fast as ninja gaiden more of the pace of dark souls, but still very well done on the combat. Graphics are very beautiful and if you have the PS4 pro you can up them to a higher frame rate. If you are looking for a challange and love the samurai style this game is for you!

If you are a fan of the Soulsborne series, you must purchase Nioh. The loot system is similar to Diablo which makes for a variety of builds and playstyles. I platinumed the game and still continue to play due to the loot and coop mode. 9.5/10, the only flaw is the story is a bit lackluster. Performance and graphics are excellent on the PS4 Pro.

The game mechanics is nothing short of challenging yet rewarding to master. The plot has a loose grounding in Japan’s history during war time while you must fight through the land’s spirit mythos. Both historical and fictional aspects of the game combine to make for a great play through
