Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with Nioh's engaging gameplay, compelling story, and immersive setting in feudal Japan. Many praise the variety of weapons and intense action, although some find the game's difficulty challenging and the initial learning curve steep. A few players noted that level design could be improved, and some found the controls initially unusual. Overall, the positive feedback on gameplay and story outweighs concerns about difficulty and other minor issues.

Dark Souls 3 Meets Samurai Meets Bloodborne
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this game without knowing much about it besides it took inspiration from the Dark Souls games. This game is amazing. It's Dark Souls 3 with a samurai theme. The story isn't much to behold but the gameplay is very fun. It can be difficult at times, but I think it's easier that the Souls series.

Fun and excellent game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be warned the game is kinda hard. But that is the reason I love the game. Lots of content and the main stages are pretty huge. Love that they put a save points near bosses. The loot system in the game is great for feeling rewarded but some times it feels like its too much work to go through them lol.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoyable souls-like game, with not as high a difficult- I would say similar in difficulty to Lords of the Fallen. I'd like to see how this compares with Sekiro (haven't played that), but the weapon mechanics are enjoyable and the difficulty curve is fair.

Challenging and Interesting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An action RPG quite similar to the likes of Bloodborne or Dark Souls, but with a distinctly japanese setting. Fans of either series should like NIOH, which trades demons, knights, and eldritch horrors for samurai and yokai. I liked the weapon system in dark souls a little better, but overall, almost everything Nioh does, it does well or at least on par with other games like it.

BloodSouls
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alot of fun it plays kind of like Dark Souls but alot more like Bloodborne. Cool enemy designs that draw on all edges of Japanese folk lore. Alot of different weapon each with 3 different fighting styles. The game shines the most in 1 on 1 combat. PVP combat is handled in a new interesting way.

Dark Souls meets Diablo 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has multiple levels of loot for weapons and armor, including sets like old school diablo 2. Combat can be annoying as monsters and npc don't die as fast as you hope at times, and you end up dead. Frustrating and fun at the same time. To go without help and no die will not be easy.

Good game, tho its not for someone who rage quits
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely worth the money, I ended up returning my physical copy so I could get the digital deluxe instead. Very intense and enjoyable, not for the weak willed. You will have to learn how to beat the opponent(through lots of deaths) I only normally struggle with the bosses and twilight missions, but its still always a challenge. If your a hardcore gamer and want a game to test your skills this is for you.

Like Dark Souls, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's a lot of Dark Souls present in Nioh, which is great for a Souls Bourne fan like myself. There's also a fair amount of Diablo/Destiny/Borderlands in here, too, and it all adds to the experience. Crafting? Tons of Loot? Challenging boss fights and enemy encounters? 9.5/10, Amazing

this game is awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.but not for everyone. you're going to have to do a lot of "grinding" and you will be fighting a lot of the same enemies over and over... if you don't have patience and want an easy game... this isn't for you the controls take get some getting used to... they feel kind of weird at first... that's my only major complaint...

Not a Dark Souls clone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a fan of the Souldborne games, you'll love Nioh. It does borrow a lot from those games, there's no denying that. But it also introduces quite a bit of fresh ideas into the "souls genre" to be considered its own game. It's got tight controls, awesome challenge and some great bosses. However, it comes up a little short in the graphics dept, level layouts, and enemy variety. Taking it down a star.

Awesome Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is such a great game! Very similar to Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Onimusha. I've put tons of hours into this game and I'm very near the end now. Definitely expect a challenge on this game. It's not just a simple hack n slash. If you put the time into it, you can easily beat the bosses.

Very Good Game, Ninja Gaiden/Darksouls inspired
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Good Game, Ninja Gaiden/Darksouls inspired, and even though it was free for PS Plus Members at one point. If you missed out on getting it there it is still well worth the $10 on sale for a physical copy of NIOH.

Ninja Gaiden/Dark Souls!!!!!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game takes the best of both worlds. The punishing gameplay of Dark Souls with the skilled action gameplay from Ninja Gaiden. I haven't even completed it yet because of the difficulty and length of the game. I am so excited that I'm not done so I can keep playing and finding new things.

Very Souls-Like
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is challenging, although not as difficult, as From Software titles such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy a game that takes a little strategy when it comes to boss battles.

A return to greatness for Team Ninja
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been a long time since Ninja Gaiden 2, which I think was Team Ninja's last great game. Nioh is one of the best action games I have played in the past few years. The graphics are great, the framerate is solid and the gameplay is tight and rewarding. Runs fantastic on the PS4 Pro!
