I really do not take my statement lightly... when I say its almost as good as dark souls that is meant to be a compliment in the highest degree! I love Dark Souls and its the only game (series) that I get the same type of feeling with Noih. buy it, enjoy it, love it.

Fun yet difficult action game. Think Dark Souls with Samurai.

I was surprised of how much I enjoyed this game since it didn’t get much press before it’s release date. Definitely would recommend to buy.

While lacking some of the much needed environment and monster variety the oft compared Souls games have, there's still a strong gameplay system hiding in this game, and it's fantastic. Like a slower Ninja Gaiden, a faster Dark Souls, phenomenal entry by Team Ninja.

I almost gave up in this game because of the brutal difficulty... Be warned. It takes a few hours to understand the combat and move forward. Bosses take several hours to understand move set and defeat

Great game, store pick up was very fast. Case was damaged but the overall experience was good. Could return for full refund if I chose to.

This is an amazing game. But it is very "old school" when it comes to difficulty. I am talking about breaking your controller in frustration like games before games got so watered down. However, if you can handle the challenge, it is definitely worth a purchase.

People are calling this a Dark Souls clone and that's not entirely correct - it definitely pulls from the DS games (honestly I wish it did more) but not as much as some claim - this is a "clone" but is definitely its own thing too - best game Ive played in months

This is one of the best underrated games from this generation. If you love the Souls genre and Samurai slashing games, then this is the perfect game for you. Might be even better than Dark Souls to be honest.

I played the betas and thought they were very sub-par but upon spending an hour with the final product and I'm in love with everything it has to offer. I spent my day at work just wanted to get home to play more of this samurai-ninja-fueled dark souls adventure!

Great game that might not be for everyone because of how difficult it can be. I, however, had an amazing time with it. Reminds me of Bloodborne because of the faster pace. If you're into the Souls series I recommend you give Nioh a shot as well.

Though this can be also compared to Dark Souls, I feel like the tempo matches Bloodborne. This game is excellent, fast paced, and challenging. You can adapt to a variety of situations by not only your weapon, but your style of fighting as well.

These games were for my son for christmas and he seems very happy with them.

A solid hack-and-slash title with a good story, though it has a level of gore/violence that might not be suitable for younger children. Even disregarding the gore, there's a bevy of large monsters and demons that might be a bit much for pre-teens. I'd advise watching a video of the gameplay if you're thinking about this one for the family.

Nioh could be considered a "Souls Clone" but really it stands on it's own in ways that the Souls series doesn't accomplish. It is similar, yes, and hellishly hard at times but the weapons system is MUCH more advanced and sometimes hard to manage at times. The game itself is superb and will give you many hours of enjoyable gameplay. Don't pass this one up.

Nioh could well take over 100 hours if you set out to master its many side missions on top of its tough campaign, but it’s a challenge well worth taking. The way it builds on its most obvious inspirations from dark souls, with a highly refined combat system.

Even though it's sort of a rip off of the dark souls games it still is very much worth your time if you like that series. It does seem less difficult than the games it's mimicking but still very challenging. play it in Action mode. The resolution may only be 720P on a standard PlayStation four in action mode but you want those extra frames this type of game.

I enjoyed playing every level of this one. I even prefer it over the other soul type games. It is challenging; however, the information included in the game is historic, and worth research.
