Nioh borrows a fair amount from the Dark Souls series of games, but Team Ninja adds in their own flavor of combat coming from their own Ninja Gaiden games. The result is one of the best games of the year.

It's the best parts of Dark Souls, Diablo, Blood Borne and a fighting game all rolled into one. The story is a bit nonsensical, but the flow look and combat is so good who cares? Definitely recommend.

It may look like a complete rip off, but Nioh manages to take what makes the souls series exciting and fun and make it completely refreshing with its own traits. The Young Thug to dark souls' Lil Wayne.

Game is similar to dark souls, sans the polish and with some challenge replaced by cheapiness.

If you like the feudal Japan era and bloodborne/dark souls series. This is the type of game. Storyline is good but the gameplay is where it's at. I would recommend it for any body who wants a challenge

Super fun but tough at first, the difficulty is more of an attraction for me than a put off. I'm hard pressed to buy other games now compared to the value of this.

This is the modern day equivalent of those ridiculously frustrating video games for the NES. Games are just made to be waltzed through these days but this one made me lose it.... A LOT.

This game is amazing. Fun yet difficult, but once you beat enemies/bosses you'll feel truly accomplished. It's basically a mix between Dark Souls series and BloodBorne but with the Samurai mix on it.

If you played ninja gaiden on xbox 360 you are going to love this game , same creators , but this game is very hard and you will die a lot lol get you frustated a lot if times but is worth it!!!

If you are a fan of action RPGs and/or the Dark Souls/Bloodborne games, give this game a serious look. This game is the complete package and easily lives up to the critical acclaim its received. Wow!

Fans of Bloodborne, Ninja Gaiden & Onimusha will feel right at home with Nioh. Fast combat, enough variation to fit just about any play style & challenging bosses to test your skills.

If you are a dark souls or ninja gaiden fan you’re in for a treat. Gameplay is great, controls are tight and difficulty level is what you would expect from a souls like game. 9/10

If your a fan of games that reward hard work, this game is for you! If you played the Onimusha series from back in the day imagine that aesthetic mixed w/ the feel of dark souls. FANNTASTIC GAME!

If you like challenging games, you'll probably enjoy this. It clearly took inspiration from the Soulsborne series, but added many additional and hard to master layers on top of that. The levels are really fun, but the bosses are pretty cheap (usually require more patience than skill).

If you like dark souls, you will probably enjoy this. The controls are a little different, and the game setting is too, but the gameplay is similar. Recommended to every hardcore action RPG player.

Japanese dark souls/bloodbourne hybrid game. Plenty of content. Graphics are not as good as they're hyped up to be. Feels like a remastered PS3 game in that respect. Very difficult but gratifying.

This is one of the best games in 2017 for sure. Pros: - Amazing combat. - Very good game time. (50-80hrs) - Good for re-play system ( New Game+ with more difficulties) Cons: - None so far.

This is such an excellent game. It is difficult, but it makes you think about the strategy you should do for each boss. It may take hours to beat one, but once you do it is so satisfying.

If you want killing the old fashion with sword blood and guts! This is your game! What are you waiting for? Make sure to buy the second release in February!

Nioh is a really fun game. I've played about 4 or so hours of it and I really enjoy it. The combat is excellent. I like the fast pace, much better than the slower pace of Dark Souls.
