I had previously rented this game but bought it when Best Buy put it on sale. It's great, one of the best this generation! If you like the souls game you will like this!

Darks souls in my eyes is much better BUT this game still has some really great moments. Hard not to compare the 2. I prefer the weapons and armor better in dark souls.

Got this game at a great price and had fun playing the demo a few months back. I’m sure this will be just as satisfying to be able to enjoy more than just a short trial demo. I’m going to continue to watch bestbuy.com for great deals like this one.

If you're a fan of the DS series, love Japanese history and Samurais, and the fast paced gameplay of Bloodbourne, this is the game for you. Do yourself a favor and buy this game.

It's hard to get started and you'll die quite a bit as you get oriented. After the first level or so, there's still many things to figure out and it becomes less frustrating. Good game play and graphics.

It is a good game but I am not a fan of the combat system and the recovering of souls

This game is the perfect blend of a Japanese medieval setting and Dark Souls style game play. It has very deep combat and can be challenging. Once you succeed, it's all worth it.

I purchased this as a gift. While the recipient liked some aspects, it was also a bit too difficult for them to find it enjoyable. I’m sure this is a great game to people who like this style.

If you're familiar with dark souls you'll do okay but if not it's a steep learning curve and he's very hard and you're going to die a lot before you get anywhere in the game

Game is simply amazing for those that are into the Hardcore Genre of gaming, Game is punishing but highly rewarding at the same time. Be sure to have good reflexes and timing.

So much loot. So much swag ways to stylishly and strategically decimate the corrupt demons and humans. You may die a thousand times, but you'll take out millions.

As everyone has said, this is a mix of Ninja Gaiden and the Souls series. I have not played any of the Souls or Bloodbournce, but this game is great for fans of those series.

A game with ok visuals, good performance, great level design and amazing controls marred by pedestrian, below average progression. This is a mission based game where you have to play most levels over and over and over again doing quest and side quests for NPCs in order to level up, move the plot along and open new levels. After the Soulborne series style progression, stuff like this feels antiquated. Still, the one saving grace is the controls and fighting mechanics. They are truly among the best in the business. If you wanted a Japanese Soulborne game or a new entry into the Onimusha series then this game is a must. Just know that you will die...and die...and die...and die...a lot. Git gud is the name of the game here. Although not without missteps Nioh still deserves to be played by any fan of action rpg games. Get it.
