These cord relief gadgets are just what I was looking for to reinforce an old Apple Thunderbolt Display's Thunderbolt 2 cable. The cord jacket had begun to separate near where the cord enters the connector. Using the supplied tool to spread the CordCollar open made it an easy job to slip the CordCollar over the TB2 connector and position it where it needed to be.

I've only ever had one iPhone cord fray on me before so I have been lucky. I bought these to protect my other cords and they are doing the job so far, although I've only had them for a short tim . The only bad part is that they are really snug and kinda difficult to get on the cord at first

These wire protectors work great. They are fairly easy to put on as long as you use the tool that comes in the package. They stay on well and no more issues with the wires fraying. Love the different colors to use for each family member. Apple should include these with the cord or put these reinforcements on prior to packaging. They are a must have.

Easy to place on the cord so that the “bend in the cord is softened to a gentle preserving the cord at it connection to the phone (particularly helpful if you are using your phone or iPad to read in bed!).

These are nice for not only identifying who’s cord is who’s, but hopefully for delaying the inevitable fraying of the cord by the lightning plug. We’ll see over time how well these work. As for using the installation tool for these protectors, it’s a piece of cake!

For the price this little gem is well worth its weight in gold because it covers open wires with the nifty little tool that it comes with. If you have a lot of different wires you can even color code them.

Love these little cable protectors. Not only does it help extend the life of my charging cables, but helps me identify which cords are mine in a household of several peeps with the same cables.

CordCollar Cable protectors are cost effective way to protect charging cables.

I purchased these to both help me identify my various cords when plugged in and to protect the cord from fraying- I’ve had phone chargers that get frayed and damaged near the connectivity point due to being stressed at certain angles. This does a great job with all the above. I wish they were a bit stiffer to prevent a little more bending from happening, but at that point it would be difficult to put on the cord (since you have to use a special tool to stretch the “collar” over the cord, making the collar harder and more stuff would just make it more difficult to stretch over the larger section of the cord). It definitely serves its purpose and is saving my cords at the same time, so I can’t complain.

So far so good. It seems to help with keeping the charging cords in good condition. I like the various colors and the tool is easy to use in order to add the tips.

The item works great..even keeping broken lightening cables stable and working ..but there are no instructions on or In the package for how to fit them properly ..comes with a tool in 2 PCs to put together I guess they expect you to figure it out yourself without damaging your cables further … luckily I found a you tube instructional video on that for this item. .it’s a little expensive about $5. for only 8 bands but they’re doing the trick and I hope will keep my cables protected for a very long time.

Easy to install. I had one cord that was frayed and causing erratic charging. This product held the cord straight…fixed the problem. Put the others on functioning cords to prevent breakage!

Great identification for cords. I used em for our charge cables in the living room. My cable and the fiancé’s cable. For a while we’ve been sharing a charge cable now we each have one we know who’s is who’s. They were a bit of a pain to get on even with the included tool just because the cable I bought was a Dynex brand cable and the lightning head side was fairly thick for a charge cable

CordCollar Cable Protector are pretty colors to distinguish between cords. They seem to hold up well from plugging in or unplugging from charging. They are difficult to get on tho

I have tried multiple types of cord/cable protectors and been frustrated by most of them. These are different. It was a little cumbersome putting the first one one, but once I got the hang of it, it is much much easier now. The application tool comes in the package. And the colors make identifying the cords quirk and easy, both when grabbing the correct one from the desk cord holder as well as easily identifying ownership when using a cord on the go.

Works great saves chords life expectancy in my opinion. My only thing is can we chose the colors! Lol

These could have saved a lot of cords over the years!! I will put on every cord from now on! The annoyance of putting them on is so worth it. Snug fit = good protection!
