However, some customers have concerns about the lack of suspension, which can make for a bumpy ride, and the bike's weight, which can be challenging if the battery runs out.

Great bike overall i haven't had problems and its really well built. When you get these bikes its only a matter of time before you have to re-build the rear hub because the nylon gear cogs wear out so be ready for that. Like other people who review this said after about 12mph the pedals are useless it would be nice to have gears instead to help the bike, but when im going 28mph effortlessly i dont mind :)

I really like this bike, looks great, easy to use and maintain. But, after a few months the pedal started to make a clunking sound. The manufacturer wanted me to ship the bike to repair… Not! I just live with the noise.

My absolute favorite E-Bike to ride. I have ridden several and this one by far is the best. Great range and battery longevity. Will be purchasing at least 2 more of these.

The bike has amazing speed and is extremely versatile in its use. The only downside I have is when using max speed, the battery drains extremely fast and I’ve yet to see the maximum distance of 90 miles with 100% battery other than that overall speed and agility is pretty good Rear brakes, excellent front brakes, squeal and squeak with not much power to slow down always using rear brakes

This is my 5th ebike. I ride 20-22 miles daily except for when working 14 hours shifts since I get off at dark. So…. There is a terrible noise at front wheel. I would have fixed but I returned it because after 19 minutes of riding first time it just shot off. It turned on and I rode towards home. Then did same thing again. But it did come on, made it home. I decided to return bc of battery. I did decide to give one more chance so I’m waiting on that to arrive on 6/28. Hope it works perfect and no glitches. My main bike I love it bird bike and it only goes 50 miles and this one can go up to 90 w dual batteries. I love long rides and hate being limited. Bike is beautiful and sharp. Seems to run good except for the noise that can be tweaked. Hopefully the battery was just that one! Brakes are excellent. No squeaking. Handle bars are little smaller than my others so my go pro doesn’t fit but I can wear in chest or some other option. Very nice brake lights that are built in.

So after owning multiple electric devices like the Boosted Board and Onewheel, I figured I wanted to dip my toes in the world of eBikes, being a My Bestbuy member I saw they had a killer deal for the NIU eBike that was only $1200 and since I already had a $1K gift card and the bike had good reviews I figured it was worth a shot and wanted to try it out. Putting the bike together was somewhat confusing, especially coming from someone who has never put together a bike before as the video they have on YouTube and the instructions contradicted each other a few times or just very broadly went over things but I was able to get it set up and working. Took it for a test drive and was in love, plugged it in overnight and this is where things started taking a turn for the worse. The next day I went to go take it for a ride and everything was working perfectly fine but noticed the bike was starting to make this weird noise and with every pedal, it would take you would hear a very loud "clicking" sound, I was able to trace it back to the motor hub so I emailed NIU on September 5th and asked them their opinion and what I should do, I get an email back a few hours later telling me I had to actually go to a web page and fill out a RMA page with the bikes SN and pictures and their RMA dept will get back to me on how to handle it. Great no problem, filled it out and submitted the form on the 5th. The clicking sounds were annoying but didn't cause any issue to the bike, however, I started to notice the bike started to not want to reach top speed anymore before I would pedal and the bike would reach speeds of 28MPH top speed, Now I have to peddle like I'm one of those clowns on a mini bike just to keep the speeds at 23-25MPH and now mid-ride the power will just die on me where I have to turn the bike back on again where it sometimes won't respond to button presses, I traced all the connectors and inspected the wires but found no faults that I could see. After about a week of daily riding when I went to use it the next day it showed both batteries were dead, despite them being on the charger all night, the batteries were at 0%, I unplugged and replugged the batteries in and checked everything and it was dead, I emailed support once again to update them on the status..... A week went by and still never heard anything back so I emailed the original CS email and asked if they could see what was going on and that maybe the form hadn't been submitted properly, another week goes by and I still had yet to hear from the RMA dept or the CS email address so I send another email and got a response on the 25th asking me for the RMA ID I got when I created the case and that they are backed up on replies and it could be another "4-6 weeks" before I get a reply. Umm, excuse me a few weeks(As of this writing its now almost been a month since I put in the RMA request)? I replied back within minutes with the ID along with asking if I could just take this to my local bike repair shop to get it fixed and they cover the cost, well I got a reply this morning telling me no they can't do that, that their repair center has to do all repairs to keep the warranty and if I can continue to be patient while I wait for the RMA team to respond to me....... Thankfully I have the My Bestbuy Membership that gives me a 60-day return period so I'm currently working with Bestbuy to get this returned without the restocking fee they charge so I can go out and buy a proper eBike. I found another user on the eBike sub who had pretty much the same exact thing happen to him as well I reached out to him a few days ago and told me it has been almost 3 months and he still has yet to hear back from NIU RMA dept and he just opted to return the bike. So this is for anyone who is looking to purchase the NIU BQI bike like I was, It is a nice bike, and I'm sure when it works its great as I had fun with it while it worked but beware there is support is top-tier garbage, If I didn't have the extended return window I would be stuck at the mercy of NIU to get this fixed and I have half the mind to think they purposely wait this long or make it such an inconvenience so customer will just opt to get it fixed on their own dime. Edit: I did get an email from NIU stating that my case is "Urgent" but it can still take up to 6 weeks to get a response, They also informed me that my warranty does NOT cover shipping so I would have to pay to ship this 80lb bike to them and just a rough estimate with UPS it was around the 3 hundred dollar mark due to the battery hazard fee, weight, and the size plus insurance. I finally did return this bike, the Manager at my store was super cool and told me he's already had 2 customers in the past have similar situations and waived the restocking fee no questions asked, he then told me these companies do this on purpose to drag you along so you are outside of your return window with the stores so you are forced to either play by their rules to get it fixed or you just get fed up and get it fixed on your own, so in lamens terms NIU is trying to make it as much as a inconvenience as possible so I just give up and they don't have to pay to fix it. In the end, I HIGHLY recommend not purchasing any NIU product just due to their poor customer service!

So far so good. Tires aren’t as wide as I was hoping and it did not go together as easily as the video shows BUT it performs up to spec. Very easy to ride and extremely quick. Top speed is actually a little faster than stated. Charging is quick and easy and the build is very solid. I have had no issues with the fender at all. Read the manual for all the tips and tricks

After over 1700 miles. This bike is very well made and stylish. The reason I am giving it 3.5 stars is NIU's customer service is very abysmal and usually results in no reply. Had an issue with the gear mechanism after 1500 miles and they wanted me to ship the entire bike. When I asked to ship just the defective product I got no reply. I ended up taking it to a local bike shop where they replaced the broken/defective mechanism. Be warned that if you are counting on their ability to support their product, it is very poor. That said, find yourself a good local bike shop that will help support you.

Disappointing. Best Buy has an ugly restocking fee yet offers no way to actually test drive e-Bikes. This bike's #1 problem is that it has only 1 gear and that gear is completely inappropriate for anyone who actually wants to ride it at any speed above SLOW. If I were able to test drive it, I would have learned that before buying it. I buy e-bikes because I want to go, far, fast, without worry of demotivating hills, or getting embarrassingly lapped by olympic medalists on their 24-speeds and spandex jumpsuits, but I also want something resembling EXERCISE and this bike offers NONE of that. This bike get's an extra STAR because it goes fast. And a STAR for having built-in headlights and taillights. I'm not convinced about it's advertised range of 90 miles... maybe if you weigh 90 lbs and leave it at assist level 1... but remember that at assist level 0 all bikes have infinite range. All I can tell you at this point is that I used 33% battery without going very far at all... 7.6 miles, fast. The top speed of 28mph is difficult to achieve if you weight more than 90lbs because it has only a 500W motor. I managed to get it up to 25mph given a long flat stretch, but anything more than that I had to be going downhill.. and an unpowered bike can go 28mph downhill. Try before you buy. Difficult to unpack and repack if you don't like it... and then they're going to charge you hundreds of dollars just to discover that this is a piece of garbage!

Awesome e-bike for the cost. It’s a selectable class bike that is a must have for riding most public trails. Only drawback is that it’s a single speed. Class three is all electric. You can’t peddle fast enough to keep up. Range so far is between 50-60 miles for a 185 lbs rider on the open road with no restrictions using all three levels of power.

Better than expected, battery life, after 1 and half still have 80 percent. Good quality bike. small scratches on screen. lack of suspension is big deal. I install a 230 dollars suspension below the seat. Redshift, make huge difference.

This bike is a lot of fun. Feels a bit heavy, but given the size of the batteries, it makes sense. Ride quality is...on the firm side. They really should have included a front suspension. It's pretty jarring to hit a bump after bump going 24 mph. Also, the brakes, while adequate, feel like they are really being worked hard to stop the bike. The absence of a traditional chain is welcome since that means no grease! Overall, we like it enough to now own 2 of them, so I can recommend it to almost anyone.

This eBike is well built and even better yet extremely well designed. The belt drive is quiet, efficient, clean and low maintenance. Much like my experience on motorcycle applications. Dual batteries which can be swapped out for spares extends range if desired. Voltage, motor size (watts) and battery amp hour ratings along with flat screen instrumentation are up there with the what the competition offers as top of the line at a lot less up front price.

This is an awesome bike! Well built and and tons of range. It was easy to put together (90% pre assembled). I’m 6’4” and fit comfortably. It is very heavy and hard to pedal without assistance from the motor. The pedal assist acts like a 3 speed transmission: 15MPH, 2 20MPH, 3 28MPH. I managed up to 24MPH with my 231 pounds weight. Throttle speed up to 20MPH. Set felt hard after riding 30 minutes, so I replaced it with a X Wing wide seat and suspension seat post. I also added Rea view mirrors, now it looks like and feels like a moped. A very fun bike to ride.

I got this bike to get me to and from work. My work is 11 and 1/2 mi from my house on the spike has enough battery power to give me to work and back without having to charge in between. It maintains 28 miles per hour on flat roads and usually around 30 to 33 mph downhill. Love it! Great purchase. Awesome product! I actually got home quicker on my bike than I ever having a car

Perfect for the budget when it comes to eBikes without the hustle of charging all the time. It is always recommended not to overcharge for us long as it stays 80 % no need to charge the next day you use the bike, and the maximum speed can go over than what it says depending on road conditions. Although one thing that you can't get on this ebike they have no speed gears to dial in when doing manual pedaling. Well, it is almost perfect but reasonable enough for the price. Quality of the bike is top notch.
