First time ever purchasing an electric scooter! Decided to go all out and get the one with all the bells and whistles and oh man is it something else let me tell you. From the premium design and build quality you can definitely tell you are getting your moneys worth. I come from a Razor scooter from back in the day and got one of these to play outside with my young padawan and I absolutely love it! The battery lasts so long and the 23mph you unlock via the NIU app makes you know what it must feel like to fly in a sense lol (of course being in a safe environment). Has 2 modes, E-Save (slower experience 8mph top speed) and normal mode which maxes out at 23mph depending on your app settings of course. What made me fall in love with is its relative fast speed at 23mph and the iconic halo headlight NIU keys onto their electric scooters which makes it such a beauty! Give it a shot! Best friendly budget welcome scooter money can buy!

Great acceleration, good handling and smooth ride. Able to handle all paved roads and small bumps. Would not recommend off road. 24mph, range is half when you dial it up to full speed. Lock mode is cool but glitchy takes a minute to unlock if you are in a hurry.

I have had this scooter now for several weeks and truely enjoy it. Once you know how to use the different modes, it is very practical. A common comment is that the throttle is very sensitive. You have to be careful in the beginning but once you are aware and get used to it, no problem. A feature which is very handy is the cruise control. Spped limits: For beginners set your speed maximum at 14 mph. 23 mph is FAST if you are not used to it. I take my scooter in the trunk of my car on day trips. After folding, it is easy to fit in a small sedan (Corolla), and not too heavy to lift in and out. Halo headlight and blinkers are great at night.

This scooter is seriously awesome. I'm having so much fun riding it around. It's way more convenient than walking or driving sometimes. Plus, it's pretty zippy and easy to handle. Definitely a great purchase!

I really enjoy this scooter. I take it to the office from time to time. It's fast, moves up hills well and has lights (front, brake/back, and turning signals). The display is easy to read and Bluetooth connection to phone is simple. When you get down to about 10% battery life it does restrict the speed for distance purposes. For someone that is about 250lbs, this will move easily for you including up hills. The throttle is probably the only thing i would change. I ceramic coated my paint on it (pictured).

For the most part it is a great scooter, but since they went away from the thumb throttle and now have the half twist throttle you must be careful. The throttle is terribly sensitive for the very first turn. I mean it is like a switch rather than a linear curve. I have to make sure my foot is well planted and really grip the handles and try to gently twist the throttle. A few times it has done a wheelie when I was not ready for it. Just plain dangerious and no signs to fix the problem even thought I have brought to NUI;s attention. I did 3D print a mount for a basket.

For my son and he is loving it every single time! He is not an outdoor person but as soon as het got this, oh he is out and about for some fresh air almost every day. The technology behind this awesome scooter is what he loved the most. He like the app, the comfort and ease of use.

All around fun. Smooth ride on the roads. Good brakes when you need them.
Only pit fall from my rides, when youre going full speed for a little bit, then stop for a short rest, it wont start back up to continuing unless you restart it, or wait a little bit.

Great buy - Very happy

I bought this 6 months ago and have been very happy with the scooter thus far.
The battery life is not as good as advertised, however I am 210 lbs and 6'2" so my weight and wind-resistance will affect that.
I am also using it on hills and often max speed & max acceleration, which clearly uses a lot more power and rains the battery quicker.
I estimate if I was on a flat road, 15mph, mild acceleration and not fighting the wind I could get about 20+ miles on a single charge.
Pros
-Simple to use
-Has a decent phone app on my iPhone
-Front suspension
-Wide and long deck
-Folds down easily
-Bright headlight
-Turn signals
-Space for a phone mount for Google Maps use
-Rear brake and running light
-Three riding settings, one of which you can fully customize.
-Setting to reduce charging to 80%/90%/100% of a full charge. This prolongs battery life if using <100%.
Cons
-It is not stable and wobbles a lot if you are single-handed.
-The twist throttle has a full range of movement of about 25 degrees. This means it is difficult to use with finesse when riding and can be jerky over bumps or when needing to maneuver at slow speeds. I am used to motorbikes that have twice that movement.
-The turn signal are on the same side as the throttle which makes it really awkward to use when riding, especially if you wear gloves. Again, being used to motorbikes the turn signals are always on the left for that reason.
-Brakes are spongy and need adjusted after about 200 miles as the cable stretches and settles.
-Take around 6 hrs for a full charge from about 15%.
Top tips
-To customize your ride settings, you can only do it on a single ride setting. By that I mean, there are 3 ride settings, 2 are preset and can't be adjusted. To change between them you press the main button once, you are waiting for the "E-SAVE" text to flash.
-Buy some reflective tape and put on the steering column as the rear light is low down and due to the small size of the scooter can easily be missed by drivers. This cost me $6 on Amazon.

first real experience with electric scooters with this much torque. there’s ton of scooter around my state that I can rent to travel around the city, but having your personal scooter that’s looks cool and faster is a much better experience on my end
Design
first I love boxes that has pictures of the product and features that it offer right outside and NIU did a great job packaging the KQI 300x seeing it in person the scooter looks beautiful it has great weight to it. tires looks great. comes with a Halo headlight and left and right turn signal. you also get a rear light the scooter as a whole looks slick it’s a perfect combo of black and red trim with some grey. it’s one beautiful looking scooter.
Experience
KQI 300x has a maximum of 24 miles per hour and was so happy to push this bad boy on it limit. didn’t get to drive for 37 miles like what it’s advertised due to daily schedule but overall was really comfortable riding this scooter. one thing for sure I don’t recommend this for kids the fact that the torque is a bit too much and would easily throw your kid around that could cause an accident. not sure how I feel about the throttle because it’s so easy to be switched on accident and you just end up flying. the app also plays a huge part on getting your full experience riding the KQI 300X, I wish there was a built in phone holder was lacking and I guess i’ll just buy another accessories for it. I love the foldable feature KQI 300x have 608WH battery with 6 hr of charge time. battery life from my experience was great I never had the chance to draine it but i’m glad it wasn’t draining fast. riding around town has been smooth ,breaks and regen breaking works flawlessly. I think NIU did an amazing job with front suspension as well. it absorbs any flaws fine that doesn’t get my hand hurting for holding for too long.
App
connecting your scooter with NIU app is pretty simple you can even name your scooter if you wanted too. the app will also provide you the map of the location you currently at. inside the app you, you’ll be able to view your ride statistics I love how it keeps up with the data on how much you been riding but i’ve notice it also doesn’t record sometimes, not sure if it’s a delay but maybe future update will fix any issues with the app. on the app you can adjust a great amount of settings for example battery charge limit. regenerative breaking you have option from. off, weak, medium and strong. I kept this one on default or maybe turn it off if someone is not family what it does. you also have auto cruise control that can be turned on but I never bothered since most of the time you’ll have a ever change set of speed due to your location. one wish feature I wish it has is beginner mode that reduces the throttle to the lowest level. my wife was scared since she felt like she might fall off. even checking on setting there’s nothing there to help my case to help my wife ride it. overall I think the app is beautiful you get your battery life percent. you can fully lock the scooter and the only way to unlock is through the app. I do like that feature but maybe create some kind of custom button pressing code on the scooter as another options to unlock for back up.
conclusion
very satisfied with KQI 300x can’t compare it much beyond my local scooter around town, but this hands down the best scooter I ever owned. some minor complaints which I mentioned above the phone mount was the main let down but until then looks like i’d just have to put my phone in my pocket. charging time was not an issue I thought it was short enough. the scooter has great distance considering you get 37 miles. that’s more than enough doing trails in morning or late afternoon. this one great scooter that you guys should check out. can’t wait for future NIU scooters.

I’m recommending this scooter, but with a big asterisk:
I owned the KQi3 Max before and loved that scooter except for the lack of suspension. I was excited when I saw that this new version looked like a successor with suspension added.
Scooter feels great overall. Sturdy, solid, and the suspension helps smooth out the bumps that the KQi3 Max couldn’t. The stem folds really quickly, making it easy to move around and carry up and down stairs. The disc brakes are good (almost too good). For a single motor scooter, this thing packs some power. Maybe a bit much, which leads me to the issues I had with this scooter.
The twist throttle is new. Older versions had a thumb throttle, and while they had their issues, I do prefer them over the twist throttle. This is especially troublesome with the high acceleration this scooter has. I ride motorcycles so I’m no stranger to twist throttles, but I still had a problem with holding this throttle at anything other than max. The result? A lot of getting thrown around at mid speed, very scary stuff, even from someone that’s ridden other scooters before. There is a solution to this: By updating the firmware, you can adjust the acceleration in the app for dynamic mode. This is great except it took me connecting to the scooter a dozen times over several days before it randomly finally allowed me to adjust the acceleration as advertised.
With the scooter now adjusted to my liking, it’s great! Still not the biggest fan of the twist throttle but I can live with it now that the acceleration is toned down.
So that’s it, great scooter, and you get a lot for your money, but you will need to adjust it to suit you with the app, and that is where you might have trouble. If they can fix the app/software issues then I would give this 5 stars and would wholeheartedly recommend this as a mid-tier scooter.
