Great scooter if you don't need it to fold

Fast and responsive. Good value, but folding mechanism sucks. I bought it as a last mile mobility solution. I needed it to fold and the folding mechanism is terrible. There's lots of reports online of people having the same problem. I found a YouTube video of how it's supposed to fold and mine did nothing of the sort. Niu customer service was of no help. Also, it comes out of the box with the speed limited to 8 mph, less than half the advertised speed. I had to fiddle around on the app to figure out how to remove the speed limiter. No mention of this in the instruction manual. The first time I rode it I felt embarrassed going down the street so slowly.
