I've had it for about 6 months and 4 flights and no issues so far. It fits in all the overheads as advertised. Very smooth wheels and you can really pack it. My trips have been mostly 2-3 overnight/day trips. I've put men size 11's and a couple of outfits. It was summer so not heavy stuff. However, I put a laptop in at least once too. There's another model with a separate space for a laptop but I don't think dedicating space in luggage for a laptop is worth it. Not a cheap but I can see getting a lot of miles out of the bag for my type of short travels.

I love Nomatic bags and luggages. I have purchased several Nomatic items in the past for my business trips and vacations, they are just well designed and of highest quality. Though they are at a premium they sure do last. The thought and care that they put into them is second to none.

Everything they say about this is true... I was a little skeptical and waited until after my first trip with it to review. Easy to use with a lot of capacity for a little bag.

I liked the idea of this suitcase but it really hold items for 2 days. Not more than that due it's design. I have another suitcase close to same dimension and I was able to put stuff for 5 days. So based on my needs, I do not think that I will ever use it again so returned it but quality wise, this is good one.

This Nomatic carry on is great for that weekend getaway. We used it for a 3 day stay, and it held what we needed, and was a breeze to transport around the hotel. It spins effortlessly, and the construction is top notch.

The following are my thoughts about the Nomatic Carry-On Classic 22" Spinning Suitcase after using it as a carry on for a trip to Alaska. First impressions here were fantastic. Build quality like I have never seen before. I was quite confident in using this piece of luggage for my trip. Packing it up was an excellent experience. The organization offered here is fantastic. Everything is high quality - I cannot stress this point enough. The built in TSA lock was much appreciated, and the combination is easy to set. The suitcase itself is light, but seems bulletproof. The wheels roll very smoothly. It fit in the overhead storage bin very well (Alaskan Airlines). I know there is a hefty price tag attached to this, but the quality is there, and it is worth the price of admission. It gave me piece of mind that I didn't have to worry about my personal belongings, and that they would be well protected. The company has a promotional video showing them bashing the luggage with VERY LARGE SLEDGE HAMMERS without sustaining damage! After using it myself I am not surprised it can withstand that kind of punishment. While you may not need it to survive a barrage of sledge hammers you can rest easy knowing it will handle anything the airline is going to throw at it. Pay the price of admission, and get a suitcase that will last for years to come. After using this carry on piece I am looking forward to adding to my collection with more Nomatic luggage. 5 stars, and highly recommended.

Surprised How Much I Like this Bag

This is the first "expensive" piece of luggage I have ever owned. When buying a carry-on in the past, I have always just bought the cheapest thing I could find and it would start looking pretty rough and need to be replaced within 5 years or so (after about 25-30 trips between business and personal). Design - The case has a sleek minimalist design. Even though it is plain black in color, this bag would be easy to pick out among other carry-ons. The integrated TSA lock is also a nice touch. The handle locks in three different positions and slides in and out smoothly and effortlessly even when fully packed. Durability - This bag definitely looks as though it is built to last. The zippers seem to be heavy duty, the outer shell extremely durable, and the wheels seem very securely attached to the bottom of the case. The lifetime warranty also gives peace of mind. Capacity - I have never purchased a carry-on with spinner wheels in the past for the simple reason that the size of the wheels reduces the capacity of the case compared to a carry-on of the same height with normal wheels. However, when I packed the Nomatic Carry-on Classic for a typical 5-day trip using the compression panels and zippered compartment, I was able to fit everything with room to spare. I could probably fit enough for a 7-day trip if needed. This is as much as I was ever able to fit in any of my past carry-on bags despite the fact they actually had more volume. The magnetic compression straps are surprisingly easy to use and can be tightened and engaged with only 1 hand. This is a very innovative feature that I have never seen in any other bag before. Travel - Glides very smoothly even when full on any kind of floor, hard floors or carpet. Nice wide handles on the top and 1 side make this easy to lift and stow and any orientation. Spinner wheels definitely make navigating around an airport much easier than standard wheels. Overall - This is a fantastic carry-on bag. Looks great, interior organization allows you to fit a lot more than you'd expect and high quality build hopefully means this will be the last carry-on I ever need.

I live in the Pacific Northwest side of the country and just came back from a five-day long business trip to the East Coast. The only things I carried were this luggage, my phone and an iPad. It felt extremely light but also very sturdy. The spinner wheels ran so smooth that it felt as if it was empty although I had it fully packed. I don't know how it would handle carriers throwing it everywhere since I had it with me most of the time but it feels that it would survive anything. . I will probably be using it for many years to come. The only "issue" that I had was to set the initial code but it was only because I was not reading the very easy-to-follow instructions attached to it. When I finally paid attention, it took me 15 seconds, if that As to capacity, I felt like I needed more room for a 5-day trip but that is for any other carry-on that I've used in that past. If you're not carrying more than a pair of shoes, there should be enough room for a week worth of clothing and other essentials. Good looking and style are important to me and this bag does not disappoint. It looks good no matter whether you're a man or a woman. It is simply stylish without dragging overwhelming attention. It is organized, TSA friendly combo lock that doesn’t look cheap, and it just fits my needs. I highly recommend it, especially because of its sturdiness, lightweight and style.

    Probably the Perfect Carry-On

Nomatic’s new Carry-On Classic 22” suitcase may be one of the best rolling carry-ons I have ever had the pleasure of using. Lightweight yet fairly rugged, stylish yet functional. Starting with the exterior, the all-black color and very sleek design make this bag stand out. The wheels are high-quality and all 4 rotate, giving you the ability to easily maneuver through the airport whether you’re rolling the bag upright or pulling it behind you on just 2 wheels. The pop-up handle fully recesses into the bag to minimize overall space used and features 3 heights at which the handle can lock. The zippers are EXTREMELY high-quality zippers, something that will help this bag last and is often one of the earliest points of failures on cheaper bags. The tails of the zippers snap into the built-in 3-number combination dial TSA lock built into the bag. The bag also comes with a matching bag tag that can be affixed to the outside of the bag, if desired. Inside, Nomatic didn’t miss anything. Starting with the left side, a spacious area that features a zippered net to hold everything in place, plus 2 zippered pockets on the net for things like socks and undergarments. I was easily able to fit several pairs of pants, a pair of shoes, and my toiletry bag all in that side with a little room to spare. The right side features a 2-panel mesh “flattener”, which you put over the clothing or other items and then cinch down. Depending on what you put on that side and it’s overall “fluffiness”, you can put quite a bit on this side then, using the panels, easily cinch everything down & compact it down, essentially putting more in there than it looks like it can handle, then flattening it down. The straps that connect the panels & help to cinch everything down are ingenious -- a loop & hook (not Velcro, an actual loop and a hook) that are magically guided together with a magnet so you know it’s connected. Pull the strap to cinch everything down and then simply lift the tail of the hook device to release. Ultimately, for a 3-day trip I was able to get all my clothes, an extra pair of shoes, and a toiletry bag in the suitcase and still had a little room to spare. And let me tell you I don’t usually pack well, so to have spare room was a testament to the bag’s spacious capacity (despite being a standard-sized carry-on) and the “flatteners” on the right side. Cons: I only found a couple of small cons but would never allow these to sway me away from the bag. First, the collapsible handles are round & tubular, so they do take space away from the right side of the bag when packing. Other carry-ons I have used (which, admittedly, were less quality) used smaller diameter handle rails, and thus they didn’t intrude into the interior as bad. But the trade off with the larger diameter handles is durability, certainly worth it. Also, the two lifting handles on the outside are very compact to the bag to keep them from snagging on anything. Their tightness to the bag makes it tough sometimes to get your hand in, especially if you’re wearing gloves. But once your hand is in the handle, it’s more than fine. It’s just that initial grab that can be a challenge, and we all know that when you’re trying to grab the handle it’s always under duress as you’re holding up the whole aisle of the plane. Summary: What an amazing bag. Sleek, good-looking, functional, lightweight. One of the best carry-on bags I have ever used and am sure that this will be with me for years to come.

I travel frequently for work, but honestly never gave much thought as to the quality of my luggage. The Nomatic Carry On Classic changed my view of suitcases forever. This is simply the nicest suitcase I've ever owned. It's sleek and minimalistic on the outside, but is very sturdy and resistant to scratches and scuffs. The telescoping handle is thick and well made and the wheels are smooth, making it easier to navigate through a crowded airport. The locking zippers work well and seem like they will last a lifetime- no plastic teeth here. But what really sets this apart are the details on the inside. The bottom third of the case is outfitted with two compression panels and two magnetic compression straps. With careful packing techniques (rolling shirts and pants) and the compression panels, I was able to pack 6 shirts and three pairs of pants, and I still had the other two-thirds of the case left empty. The top two-thirds of the case is separated by a mesh zippered panel that has small compartments perfect for smaller electronics such as tablets and e-readers. There are also two smaller internal pockets for chargers and other small, easily lost items. Staying organized with this case is so much easier. The case is advertised as being appropriate for a 3-5 day stay, but with careful planning and packing I can easily get 7 days worth of clothing and toiletries to fit. With compression packing cubes, I dont think it's a stretch to say that I could fit almost two weeks worth of clothes, all in a carry-on suitcase.

    Ultimate carry-on!

This is the ultimate carry-on. I couldn't imagine creating a better option for a carry-on piece of luggage! Upon opening the box, the luggage is inside a cotton type draw string bag to further protect it, which I kept for storage. It is a sleek matte black color. The locking mechanism at the top took me a minute to figure out, but is easy to use once you put your own combination in. Once it is unlocked, the sturdy zippers can be undone to open the case. The inside is an organizer's dream! There are multiple zippered compartments within this carry-on to keep everything you're traveling with in it's place. The left size has a full zippered compartment to keep belongings tightly placed, which also has 2 zippered pockets on top to keep items in. On the right, there are two magnetic locking straps to hold items in place with a mesh guard. The guard can be removed if desired, but will help hold items in securely. I was able to fit 5 days worth of warm weather attire including flip flops and toiletries in this carry-on. The rollers glide like butter, and are quite satisfying. The extendable handle is also quite sturdy. I've had others in the past that wobble and feel cheap, but this one feels of great quality. Also of note, the front of this carry-on at the top is angled which would allow for easier placement in an over head compartment on a plane. Overall, the quality of this carry-on is top notch. It looks and feels expensive and sleek. It's very light when empty. The inside organization is unlike any other piece of luggage I have seen. I want the full size version next!

This is a very SOLID piece of luggage. from the wheels up, this is a step up in quality over most in this category. First, this is for the nomad. It's size, would make it difficult to carry more than one persons clothing for more than maybe a single night. I also pack relatively light for my trips, but this bag does fill up quickly. I was able to comfortably pack enough for three days, but I didn't bring an extra pair of shoes or bulky clothing. I am not sure I could get more in there. there are 2 main compartments (left and ride), and two zipper pouches, and then room in between the two seperators. A nice zipper enclosure keeps all your items on the left, and then a compression screen keeps them down on the right. The handle is long and extends high enough for the vast majority of people. The full motion wheels make it easy to pull, and push in any direction as well. Comes with an integrated locking system that is TSA key ready. So even though this will typically be a carry-on, you are ready for those times the bins are full and have to check it in. The hard shell casing, is hard... and is going to protect most items inside. Balanced design, that even a heavy loaded from portion isn't going to make it tip over in any direction. The angled top, is going to ensure that it fits in the vast majority of modern aircraft top storage, with curved doors. While I am not sure I would use this for a family vacation, where souvenirs are coming home, this is going to be a great back for the business trips, or the stay-cation with the spouse.

Review for Nomatic - Carry-On Classic 22" Spinning Suitcase Took this on a long weekend trip and loved it! Lots of room for big and little things, well organized space, and just a real feel of quality materials throughout! Nice, smooth, YKK zippers are big and strong. They lock easily with a TSA-friendly 3 digit combo lock. The wheels roll smoothly down the aisle or align immediately when you tip and tow the suitcase behind you. Tough, polycarbonate shell looks good and takes a lot of scuffing around. Nice feature if you hate straps inside the suitcase: amazingly strong magnetic closures for the straps! So easy to use, even with one hand. Yet snugs up quickly and stays put. Overall, very well-designed and a pleasure to use.
