Security is a fine balance of protection vs ease of use, I believe NordVPN has struck a fine balance between the two with top of the line VPN security and ease of use across multiple platforms and devices. NordVPN has applications for iOS, Android, MAC, PC, Linux, and can be enabled by default on some hardware such as routers. For the devices that don't support these applications NordVPN provides instructions for manually setting up your VPN on any device to protect your internet privacy. There are also browser extensions to protect your internet traffic on your Chrome or Firefox browser if you would like to be able to game on your computer but still want to protect your browser traffic. NordVPN also includes a feature they call CyberSec that protects you from various threats to include blocking ads, malware protection, phishing and prevents your computer from being involved in DDoS attacks. Overall NordVPN offers top of the line security, good speed, ease of use, and additional features that are not normally included in a VPN service but ultimately add to your protection as a user.

I always have reservations about software to keep my PC "safe" but I have to say that this one seemed way more legit (especially based on the reviews I read). Gave it a go and like my summary says, it's simple and easy to use. The best software is one that you never know is working and this doesn't make its presence too apparent (not like virus software that I had to delete off my PC when I first bought it). Good buy.

I bought the downloadable one-year subscription for Nord VPN directly from Best Buy. The download and install were flawless and Nord's interface is simple and intuitive. I have not experienced a notable decrease in speed while using the internet. The subscription covers connecting up to six devices, so I have it on my desktop, tablet and phone. No one should use the internet without a VPN and although the are so many VPN's to choose from, I can't imagine one that works better, especially for the price.

It's the easiest VPN set up you can have that covers a wide range of devices. Norton has made the VPN process 1 click on any device you decide to install it on. I currently have it running along AD Guard on my Android device have not had any issues. Occasionally I've had some Apps for some reason would not connect to the internet. A simple restart of the VPN does the trick. Overall it's a good value since the subscription allows up to a combination of 6 devices.

The software is easy to install and easy to use. It will also protect several other devices and the one that seemed most important was the cell phone as I do a lot of payments and web browsing. The speed will slow down some but I expect thats because of the security code and being connected to different servers. You can even pick which area you would like to connect to or it will do it automatically. As far as security i'm assuming it has been working as I have not had any issues with my identity or account info being leaked. I definitely recommend it to those that do sensitive transactions with your cell phone and laptop/tablet.

I really like this VPN compared to my last one. Speed and reliability is bar none the best yet out of the 5 total I have tried in the past 2 years. Windows install is a breeze the ability to turn it on and off so quickly makes the ease of use smooth. Using it on an Android phone is simple and effective. I can easily turn it on, switch servers and even block adds on my android now. I also setup my router to have it built in, this is nice to know all devices are covered within the house. I am finally at home with a VPN, I will be a Nord customer for life.

So far so good, it is easy to enable or disable by going through settings, or the app itself. Occasionally, it complains about having too many traffic and asks you to do a picture pick to double check you are not a robot. Annoying, but tolerable.

I've had NordVPN now for 3 years, probably close to their start. I use them on a Mac, iPads and iPhone, Their apps are tops, easy to use. Plenty of servers to pick from, and they do not keep logs.

NordVPN (1-Year Subscription) - Android|Mac|Windows|iOS The NordVPN has been a very good VPN client to use. There are many servers in many different countries to connect to. If you have not tried a VPN before this is a good place to start. A VPN gives you an extra bit of protection against the baddies on the internet. Use it along with the private browsing mode in your favorite browser and you will have an added level of security that you could not otherwise. The software is very easy to use and I do like the way it brings up the connection screen on bootup. This is a reminder to use your service or don't if you don't think it's needed. But this keeps you from forgetting it's there whenever you need it. I did quite a few speed tests from many of the available servers and I did get good ones and not so good. And like any internet connection the actual speed you get will vary widely. Another nice feature is I have been getting emails from NordVPN that are not spam but they give you information on how to take advantage of features and other software that can help up the safety level even more. If you're new to using a VPN the NordVPN is a great place to start. It is very highly rated, easy to use and if you're a person who likes to use public hotspots its a must have utility. I would never connect to a public hotspot without a tool like this, highly recommended

I have had the pleasure of using NordVPN as a new user. I have heard of vpns but heard that they were tricky and difficult. I was nervous about using one, however I heard great things about NordVpn. After several years of reading on it I finally decided to take the plunge. The set up was simple enough I ran into a hiccup with the site to activate not initially loading then I had did the steps out of order. I had downloaded the app and created an account first. Then when the site finally worked it was asking to create an account. It still worked when I entered the information I had already set up. I would just make sure to do the steps in order to avoid the bit of confusion. All in all it was simple enough. The box with the code and starter guide is written in a very user friendly way. I do think that the packing is overkill and not necessary, it can be minimized. I am using it on my macbook pro 2013 and iphone 7 plus at the time. I will install it on my windows pcs after awhile once I get used to it. It can be installed on up to 6 different devices which I think is an amazing amount of devices! I love that its not limited to 3 these days I have way more than 3 devices in my household, so hats off to NordVpn for being awesome about the amount of devices. The app is clean and has a quick connect option to make it simple to get on and get started. If you want to tweak it and get a little more into it you can. There is initially 4 location options to pick from but you can pic to show more servers. You select the server you want then quick connection option, it thinks then connects and your good to go. The app shows the ip your connected to and has a disconnect option for when you ready to disconnect. There was a dip in the speed depending on where you select but not enough for me to not use it. It was not enough of a dip to be annoyed. They have made the app very user friendly, quick and easy to install and the app has a great user interface.

This review is mainy based on the install and ease of use so far. I have kept my DL speed that I can tell. Windows store did not connect but that is the only app I have noticed not working when NordVPN is set to on. There are options to set to turn on automatically when the PC does (also available Mac and Mobile). If you are needs are in line with this product, I would reccomend.

Ive installed this software on two MacBooks, one Windows laptop and one iPhone and surprisingly, I haven't noticed any reduction in performance or speeds for my devices. That was my main concern with installing a VPN, particularly on my phone. Installation was simple and easy on each device and it can be installed on a total of six devices. I have been traveling a lot lately, so having a VPN when I connect to open wifi networks, gives me a greater sense of security. So far so good.

This software works flawlessly so far. Install is a breeze, just make an account, activate your subscription on the website and download the apps. I downloaded it onto two desktops, one laptop and two Android phones. I believe you get six licenses on this one for one year. The software is easy enough to use on all your devices and has a simple interface that is easy to learn or can have advanced features if you so wish. The interface has a nice map to see where you are connected, a nice big connect button, the ability to select your country you want to connect through or specialty servers. One of my favorite features is the anti DDoS connection which blocks various malware as well. I also love that you can have it turn on automatically when you are connected to Wi-Fi but also have exceptions. For example, I want the full speed of my home Wi-Fi, so I have that as an exception, but it automatically turns on when I go to any public Wi-Fi for example. Speed seems to have little impact I saw my ping at home go from 4ms to 8ms on speed test and the download upload speed stayed steady at around 150mbps. There is no CD in the box, but the instructions will have you download it on their website. This appears to be well worth a purchase, it works well, is easy to use and keeps you safe!

Purchased this software from Best Buy a few days ago after hearing about the new legislation (Net Neutrality) which repeals previous privacy protections. After researching Virtual Private Network (VPN) software online at sites like PC Mag and CNET, I was impressed that NordVPN got consistently high marks! NordVPN keeps your online information private - no matter how you access the internet. I feel more secure online, especially when I am accessing public wifi hot spots. I also noticed that those pesky ads I get on Yahoo Mail disappear when I logged in via a NordVPN virtual server.

This 1 year subscription in a box for NordVPN was super easy to setup, and is now running seamlessly on my desktop computer, notebook computer, and mobile phone. This product comes in a cardboard box, but the only thing inside is a card with a printed activation code and website address. You'll use that to set up your account, which is super easy. Just go to the website, enter your email address, select a password, and type in the code. That's it. I had an account with a year of service within 2 minutes of opening the box. Next step is to download the NordVPN client, login with the email address and password used during account setup, and turn on the VPN service. The NordVPN client is available for Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS. I tried it on three of those four platforms, and found the same straightforward look and feel on all three. The interface is intuitive, and makes it easy to tell whether you're connected to the service. If you don't need to mess with the advanced features, there's the option to quickly connect. For those with more complicated needs, there are a variety of options, like choosing servers based on where they're located (appear to the Internet as if you're coming from a specific country), what special connections they offer (like Peer to Peer file sharing or Onion Over VPN). There's also a double-VPN option, where your network traffic is routed through multiple servers to make it even harder to be tracked. There's also a Chrome extension, which I was able to use on my Chromebook, but only web browsing was protected. NordVPN supports L2TP/IPSec, however, which allowed me to protect all traffic from my Chromebook. It was a few more steps to set up (there's a tutorial on the NordVPN website), and it's not as secure as using the NordVPN app, but is a lot better than no protection at all. Any VPN service is going to cause some reduction in speed. I found that NordVPN had moderate slowdowns... around 25% slower than without using the VPN, which is similar to other paid VPN services I've used (and better than most free VPN services). Overall, I feel like NordVPN offers high quality VPN protection at a reasonable price. The client software is simple and easy to use for a novice, while anyone who needs the more advanced features can find them in the settings menus. Overall, I'm happy with the product and would recommend it to others.

This is the first time I've used a paid piece of VPN software to control the identity of my browsing. I've used the (free) tor browser before, as well as running a Tails VM off of a thumb drive to play around with the Dark Web. Tor browser was easy enough to use, but bookmarks and whatnot don't make sense if you want to hide what you're doing, plus there are some interesting things you can find there. Now NordVPN is a piece of software that installs without a hitch on ChromeOS and Android, as well as MacOS, Windows and other platforms using the quite simple OpenVPN software like you were connecting into the office with a Linux laptop. The nordvpn.com account portion was easy enough to do, even with an already existing login/password; just go to the URL in the paperwork inside the box & use your existing credentials to have the annual plan activated with the provided code. My first few uses of the software showed my 'net speeds dip from 130Mb/s to ~ 260Kb/s -- which wasn't good AND it was in the US like me. I disconnected and switched countries in the App and over to the UK I went and up to 65Mb/s - much better. Other cool features with NordVPN, is the Double VPN (Netherlands -> Russia, for example) as well as Onion Over VPN -- to get to the Hidden Wiki, for example. Onion Over VPN skirts the need to use tor browser, for example & you can use whichever insecure browser you want like ( ::cough:: Chrome ::cough:: ) or move to something a little more privacy-centric like the DuckDuckGo browser. I like the software and it doesn't seem to bloat me up, whether or not it kills my battery, is tough to say. This is because I rarely do the same activities, use the same apps, etc, to be able to make a solid call. Do I recommend this? Sure! Will I renew after the year? Maybe, it all depends on the discounts thrown towards someone to renew.

Installed the NordVPN with no issues. Very easy to configure and maneuver. Easiest installation of any program ever. Easily able to change your IP information and country if necessary. Only a few notable issues, but not dealbreakers: 1) It does slow your internet speed. Not a lot, but you notice the difference. 2) Unable to reach certain sites with the VPN on. More of a personal choice of mine than anything else.

I really do like this VPN. I have only ever used a few VPN products before and this one ranks at the top. Getting it on my phone, tablet, and computer was easy. I think you can put this product on up to 6 devices. My only issue with the product is that any time I lock my phone the VPN disconnects. And after I unlock my phone it can take a little while for the VPN to connect again. However, my phone has been acting a bit odd lately and so it may just be my phone that is the problem. On my computer I had to click on it a few times before it would connect but overall it is a good product and I recommend it.
