I decided to try this VPN service for my phone and laptop that I frequently use to connect through various public WiFi locations. I've used VPN clients on work machines before and know they can sometimes be a pain. However, installing and then enabling or disabling the NordVPN on both my Windows 10 laptop and Android phone was super easy. The Android client also shows your transmit/receive rate as well as total data which is nice. The performance hit wasn't noticeable on either the laptop or the phone. I have a wireless ISP at home where I can normally get 15-20 Mbps, though, so it's quite possible I may see a difference when travelling and connected through a higher-speed network. From what I've read on their web site, there is also no bandwidth/data transfer limit. For those worried about the prying eyes of government, Nord is legally based in Panama so they say they don't have any requirements to retain or share logs. For me, I think this is going to be well worth a few dollars a month to have a secure VPN option. I like that it's easy to use and easy to see when it's active or not. The ad blocking and malware protection is an added bonus. There are cheaper (and free) VPN services out there, but I've always been reluctant to trust them. I could always be wrong, but NordVPN looks like one of the more trust-worthy VPN services out there.

This software works flawlessly so far. Install is a breeze, just make an account, activate your subscription on the website and download the apps. I downloaded it onto two desktops, one laptop and two Android phones. I believe you get six licenses on this one for one year. The software is easy enough to use on all your devices and has a simple interface that is easy to learn or can have advanced features if you so wish. The interface has a nice map to see where you are connected, a nice big connect button, the ability to select your country you want to connect through or specialty servers. One of my favorite features is the anti DDoS connection which blocks various malware as well. I also love that you can have it turn on automatically when you are connected to Wi-Fi but also have exceptions. For example, I want the full speed of my home Wi-Fi, so I have that as an exception, but it automatically turns on when I go to any public Wi-Fi for example. Speed seems to have little impact I saw my ping at home go from 4ms to 8ms on speed test and the download upload speed stayed steady at around 150mbps. There is no CD in the box, but the instructions will have you download it on their website. This appears to be well worth a purchase, it works well, is easy to use and keeps you safe!

Security is a fine balance of protection vs ease of use, I believe NordVPN has struck a fine balance between the two with top of the line VPN security and ease of use across multiple platforms and devices. NordVPN has applications for iOS, Android, MAC, PC, Linux, and can be enabled by default on some hardware such as routers. For the devices that don't support these applications NordVPN provides instructions for manually setting up your VPN on any device to protect your internet privacy. There are also browser extensions to protect your internet traffic on your Chrome or Firefox browser if you would like to be able to game on your computer but still want to protect your browser traffic. NordVPN also includes a feature they call CyberSec that protects you from various threats to include blocking ads, malware protection, phishing and prevents your computer from being involved in DDoS attacks. Overall NordVPN offers top of the line security, good speed, ease of use, and additional features that are not normally included in a VPN service but ultimately add to your protection as a user.

Without going into a long-winded "This is what a VPN is" review I'll just keep it simple and say this product works and is extremely easy and straightforward to setup. I have this installed on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 7 plus, although I do not typically join public Wifi on my phone it is a nice piece of mind for privacy/security when I do find the need to use Wifi. I enjoy the variety of servers to connect to and the interface is very easy to navigate. I haven't noticed a significant drop in speed, but I have only used this on my workplace guest and at home. I have some travel coming up so I'll be able to test in the airport and the hotel (2 places you most certainly want to utilize NordVPN). All in all, I would recommend this to friends and family, small price to pay for the privacy we regularly/unknowingly give away.

I'm a bit late on this review, but have been using NordVPN on and off for a while now. I found the software fairly easy to install, run and configure. The company has made it easy as pie to run on Windows. However, should you have a high speed internet connection like FIOS Gigabit, don't expect those speeds when running NordVPN or most other services of this type. I was impressed to hit about 200/200 on a server geographically close to me, but never much faster than that. I ran some web testing to ensure that my VPN IP address was visible and not my ISPs IP address. NordVPN passed all of these. As for other reasons you might use a VPN, I won't elaborate here, but it works fine. You don't even have to change servers most of the time. However, keep in kind if you have crazy fast internet, you aren't going to max it out this way. I can't give this 5 stars because it cripples my true potential for upload and download speeds for FIOS Gigabit, therefore I don't run it 100% of the time. I can't find any fault with this product or service otherwise.

Installed the NordVPN with no issues. Very easy to configure and maneuver. Easiest installation of any program ever. Easily able to change your IP information and country if necessary. Only a few notable issues, but not dealbreakers: 1) It does slow your internet speed. Not a lot, but you notice the difference. 2) Unable to reach certain sites with the VPN on. More of a personal choice of mine than anything else.

I have had the pleasure of using NordVPN as a new user. I have heard of vpns but heard that they were tricky and difficult. I was nervous about using one, however I heard great things about NordVpn. After several years of reading on it I finally decided to take the plunge. The set up was simple enough I ran into a hiccup with the site to activate not initially loading then I had did the steps out of order. I had downloaded the app and created an account first. Then when the site finally worked it was asking to create an account. It still worked when I entered the information I had already set up. I would just make sure to do the steps in order to avoid the bit of confusion. All in all it was simple enough. The box with the code and starter guide is written in a very user friendly way. I do think that the packing is overkill and not necessary, it can be minimized. I am using it on my macbook pro 2013 and iphone 7 plus at the time. I will install it on my windows pcs after awhile once I get used to it. It can be installed on up to 6 different devices which i think is an amazing amount of devices! I love that its not limited to 3 these days i have way more than 3 devices in my household, so hats off to NordVpn for being awesome about the amount of devices. The app is clean and has a quick connect option to make it simple to get on and get started. If you want to tweak it and get a little more into it you can. There is initially 4 location options to pick from but you can pic to show more servers. You select the server you want then quick connection option, it thinks then connects and your good to go. The app shows the ip your connected to and has a disconnect option for when you ready to disconnect. There was a dip in the speed depending on where you select but not enough for me to not use it. It was not enough of a dip to be annoyed. They have made the app very user friendly, quick and easy to install and the app has a great user interface.

Over 3,000 _ servers to use.... super easy to install. Works seamlessly on multiple devices. I was new to VPN's but have learned so much recently. I would not connect to a public wifi without one now. Primarily use this with my iPhone 8. Love it. Connects in seconds and I feel safer and more secure with my internet use on my phone now. the interface may seem simple for some, but you do not need it to be complicated. I like how quick I was up and running.

I actually had to disable my nord vpn in order to post this. It works great ran into issues accessing a few sites such as best buy, and usps. Best buy please fix this so we can shop securely on your site. It's ironic that you sell software you're blocking.

Purchased this software from Best Buy a few days ago after hearing about the new legislation (Net Neutrality) which repeals previous privacy protections. After researching Virtual Private Network (VPN) software online at sites like PC Mag and CNET, I was impressed that NordVPN got consistently high marks! NordVPN keeps your online information private — no matter how you access the internet. I feel more secure online, especially when I am accessing public wifi hot spots. I also noticed that those pesky ads I get on Yahoo Mail disappear when I logged in via a NordVPN virtual server.

I am very happy with this VPN solution. If you value privacy and security, you should not use the internet without a VPN, especially if you are on a public WiFi. Don't use facebook, banking, anything without a VPN on a public WiFi. It's very easy for someone to capture the data packets and see what's in them, but if you encrypt your data with a VPN like NordVPN, you don't have to worry about it. It has strong military grade encryption and you can set it up so that it automatically connects whenever you turn your computer on so you won't forget to use it. You can configure it to run pretty much seamlessly in the back ground and all you see is the little icon in the task bar letting you know that it's working. I have conducted speed tests and it has not affected my speed very much at all...maybe a slight dip but not even noticeable. I use it on my Note8 as well and it works seamlessly there as well. You just have to log in once and set it up and you are good to go. I selected my preferred server (U.S) and that was it. I did notice that there is only one US server listed though, so at some point it may get saturated, but I assume they would add more before it ever came to that. So, surf, bank, chat securely with NordVPN.

I must confess, I had never heard of this company until Best Buy sent me an invitation to review this product. Well, the product made its presence known quickly after I downloaded the app from the Google Play store, set up an account, and thereafter, I was good to go! This product offers robust protection. I am especially grateful that it covers cell phones, because I pay several of my bills directly from my cell phone. Since installing this program, I feel secure knowing that hackers won’t get sensitive information that belongs to me! Great job NordVPN!!!

The best way that I know to combat this is to keep all software up to date and use a strong anti-virus/firewall software. Still, that is not enough to protect your privacy and personal information, so the next layer of security is to install a VPN (Virtual Private Network) on your electronic devices. Over the past 10-12 years I have tried at least 3 different VPN providers on my window-based computers and laptops. In each case, my productivity suffered greatly because my computers remained “locked up” and had issues with certain software programs. The VPNs that I have used in the past just didn’t seem to be seamless applications, so I removed the VPN provider and access from my electronic devices but continued to read reviews on VPN providers. It is very simple to use, and the dashboard consist of Maps, a list of countries with VPN servers and a few settings. I had immediate security and anonymity. It has worked well with all my software programs and electronic signatures for business transactions. It also can be installed on Android or Apple mobile devices. I installed the VPN software on my iphone 7 plus and expected some of the real estate apps not to work because they are tied into security type keys of their own and I experienced issues with this in the past with other VPN providers. All real estate apps as well as all other apps seem to work fine with NordVPN. I then installed the VPN provider software on my ipad Pro, and again everything works fine. There is even a “kill switch” for the internet if needed. I am very please with NordVPN so far and would highly recommend it to anyone who shares any of my personal aggravations with using the internet. and the crooks that prey on internet users.

I really do like this VPN. I have only ever used a few VPN products before and this one ranks at the top. Getting it on my phone, tablet, and computer was easy. I think you can put this product on up to 6 devices. My only issue with the product is that any time I lock my phone the VPN disconnects. And after I unlock my phone it can take a little while for the VPN to connect again. However, my phone has been acting a bit odd lately and so it may just be my phone that is the problem. On my computer I had to click on it a few times before it would connect but overall it is a good product and I recommend it.

With the exception of video streaming Nordvpn does have a impact on my ability to use the internet while web browsing. Setup is actually really easy and fast. I downloaded it on my main pc and my android phone. Used both for a while to get a feel for them. Pros Very easy to set up and get running. Does not impact most internet speed Gives you a meter on your phone for stats on how much data is being transfered ( a geek thing) Even with using it to stream 4k it buffers in the beginning but eventually stream watch a movie to see any adverse effects on content I could find non. One major thing is my setup used codes not any disk or USB type installation.

NordVPN is a virtual personal network or proxy modification allowing you to spoof your location while you are online. There are tons of different companies that make these are there are even a ton of companies that make free ones. But in life we typically get what we pay for right? This is no different. When you get a free VPN, they bog down your bandwidth. Your browser will go really slow. There are also less options for the selection of location you desire. Typically you are able to pick a continent or country, but nothing as specific as a city or state. So things are slower and you don’t get that many choices, that is the just of it. When you pay for a VPN, you get much more. This is the case with NordVPN. You can spook your location and when companies try and track you with cookies they don’t get valid data. You are protected. For me, the best part is that I travel overseas a lot. In most of the places I go, they block certain sites (and I am not talking about adult sites). They will block things like Netflix and Hulu, as they are USA based and not allowed in some countries. With this, I can browse USA sites and stream TV shows as if I was in the USA. I love that. In these same areas, you cannot go on may sites. This will allow me to browse without being seen and again as if I was in the USA. The good part about this software is the variety of options you can use to spoof your location. This counpany uses VPNs in 62 different countries so there is literally something for everyone. So based on my experience so far, this is probably the best I have used. I don’t notice much if any slowdown and that is the biggest factor for me. Don’t get me wrong, the encryption is super important and I recognize the value in that. But everyone claims they have military grade encryption. This seems to as well, but it still allows for quick web browsing and this is a good thing. If you are overseas or travel overseas a lot, this would be a great tool for you. If you need a VPN to browse in secrecy, this is a great one. I recommend it.

Just received my 1-year subscription to NordVPN in the mail. Following the instructions in the packaging, I quickly downloaded the software and installed it on my Windows laptop and my iPhone X. So far so good. Will probably install it on my MacBook Air as well. Haven't run into any issues so far. Setup was very simple, unlike other VPN services I've tried out in the past. I recommend this VPN software to anyone looking for a great VPN with easy setup. Creating an account and setting up the software was simple and I was up and running in 5 minutes. It does only allow setup up on 6 devices ranging from Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

I really like this VPN compared to my last one. Speed and reliability is bar none the best yet out of the 5 total I have tried in the past 2 years. Windows install is a breeze the ability to turn it on and off so quickly makes the ease of use smooth. Using it on an Android phone is simple and effective. I can easily turn it on, switch servers and even block adds on my android now. I also setup my router to have it built in, this is nice to know all devices are covered within the house. I am finally at home with a VPN, I will be a Nord customer for life.

Ive installed this software on two MacBooks, one Windows laptop and one iPhone and surprisingly, i haven't noticed any reduction in performance or speeds for my devices. That was my main concern with installing a VPN, particularly on my phone. Installation was simple and easy on each device and it can be installed on a total of six devices. I have been traveling a lot lately, so having a VPN when i connect to open wifi networks, gives me a greater sense of security. So far so good.

I have been using NORDVPN for the last year and I can say it is the best VPN out there. The first thing I like about it is that it is easy to install on computers and phones. You basically create your account, download the app for your device, log in and connect to your favorite server around the globe. Other things I like are the fast connection speeds, and the fact that you can connect five devices. If you travel a lot or travel overseas, this is the VPN to get.
