Works great and doesn't slow things down

Overall I'm happy with the purchase for for anti-virus and utilities. Anti-virus: I've been using free virus protection for years and the popups got really annoying. There is a status update that pops up every couple days or so but it isn't intrusive and gives me the peace of mind knowing that it is still running. I haven't noticed any slower response while running Norton like I have with some other products. We have 5 computers in the family so at around $10 each it's a good price to pay. Utilities: I was hoping Utilities would help speed up the computer and it seem faster after letting Norton fix the registry. It did however take me a little while to get the settings the way I like them. For "security" it deleted the list of recently used files. This is actually a feature I really like on my home desktop so I turned it off. Utilities does pop up a message daily trying to get me to turn it back on and that is a little annoying. Not sure if I'll leave it installed now that the computer is running faster.

Works great but lacks clear instructions

It does work well but lacks clear precise instructions. Example: If you see a spinning wheel its because this is happening, not just a featureless window with no update information. The software does its job once you get past the lack of clear information and instructions. Almost every step of the installation lacked a simple clear cut "now you do this next step to accomplish this, or if this didn't happen you must do this step and why, Or, if your using windows this will work but if your using a Mac it will not. Not everyone has an " IT background".

I have been using Norton Security for years with the occasional switch to some other product but I always tend to come back as it has always done its job. I still go out every year and check the various online reviews and it is always rated at or near the top. Installation is easy, use is easy as most tasks are automatic. Also, it hasn't slowed down my computer. This year I reviewed and purchased a few months before my current subscription ends as it was on sale for $30 for 5 installs, a great deal to protect all of our devices. I know there are some versions out there that run for 3 year subscriptions but are hard to find, I wish they were more readily available.

I hate I put off the purchase for so long. I always did the free one's off the internet. But going with a name brand that is trusted gave me a lot more piece of mind. It's easy to use and set up. Even with different devices. It hasn't slowed my computer down WORTH talking about. Even my tiny notebook can run this with no problem. The free one I installed slowed my small tablet way down. This one added maybe 3 seconds to my start up. And didnt notice a change on my other devices.

No issues except for their stupid popups

I haven't had any issues with Norton over the years. Except now with Chrome, I get their stupid popups extolling the virtues of their websafe extensions for Chrome. I have been unable to find a way to turn them off. And their extension reviews are not that great. Bought it on sale and protection works out to $6 a device, and I know it has caught problems when I've been less diligent during web surfing.

I have been using Norton Security for years and it has never disappointed. It is always rated at or near the top by various computer magazines and online ratings web sites. Installation is easy, use is easy (most tasks are automated), and it is a great value. Also, it hasn't slowed down my computer. I have used other suites that have come bundled with new computers and all of them have sucked, which is why I keep coming back to Norton.

This latest version of NORTON Security is easy to set up and operate. It is faster than earlier versions and does not slow down your PC. Norton Utilities has excellent features, such as the 1-Click Optimization button. It cleans your PC and optimizes WINDOWS start up. The package also includes a Password Manager. It took some time to get it to work properly. It seems NORTON has not worked out the bugs out of it.

I've used Norton several times in past years and it seems to do a good job, BUT this time it would not load. There was a Norton phone number to call for this problem. Norton said that, based on what they could see on my computer, someone had been trying to break-in thru the modem. Long-story-short, Norton charged me $250 to fix the problem. (The $250 is supposed to include 3 future installations of Norton.)

I've been running Norton ever since I can remember on my home PCs for years and this was for my dad's PC. He was running McAfee and Kaspersky in the past. Told him there are free software programs out there and others, but have never had an issue with Norton. Keeps things locked down. Knocking off 1 star due to some of the adware and other small annoyances with the program, but great overall for what it does.

I have been using Norton products while in the USAF and the FAA. I figured if the government trusts this software why not give it a try for my own computers. I have had several attacks and Norton came through every time to protect my data and hardware for that matter. Twice I had to use the tech to actually remote into my computer and correct the problem from some back door attack . I highly recommend Norton Security software.

While the price of purchasing this software in a store is reasonable, the automatic renewal prices are far higher. I do like that it updates quickly and frequently on Windows computers, the macOS version isn’t as impressive. Big corporations use this and my experience with it is that it is reliable.

I have used Norton products in the past without too much of an issue but I have to say, this one is the worst! Completely slowed down the computers that I installed it on and since I uninstalled it, they are much better. Will never buy another Norton software product again.

Since installing this product I am feeling much more at ease with the security of my devices. Previously the products recommended and pushed by best buy have not functioned nearly as well and have always left me feeling vulnerable to many problems.

Not perfect, but gets the job done. Norton can be a little annoying at times, but it has protected my systems well over time. Price at Best Buy was very good and while I could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere if I had been willing to deal with rebates, I was happy to pay a bit more and not have the hassle.

I’ve been using Norton Antivirus since I got my first laptop when I was in middle school. As soon as my previous year’s subscription approaches an ending, I buy a new subscription for the following year. I trust Norton and will continue to use it.

I've used Norton for several years and find it more reliable than any other internet security system. I haven't had any security issues using it. I have not yet added the Norton Utilities but plan to in the near future for extra security.

Norton recently started blocking an online stories site because it claims one chapter in one story out of thousands has a problem. The website owner and many other reviewers have contacted them and it is still blocked.
